That was amazing. I appreciate you showing how to make the spice rub. Some presenters would have assumed it is available for purchase everywhere the viewers are located and not show how to make it. This makes your recipes more attractive to try. You are a great presenter and your tutorials are professionally done. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! It really makes me so happy when people appreciate my work and love my recipes :) I always try to make it easier and better for my viewers! Thank you for your awesome support! I also give more details and information about this recipe on my website/blog :) That is my main source of recipes and I have hundreds there :)
I did exactly the same thing, except that I cooked it at 350 degrees for 20 minutes (10 minutes per side). It came out delicious. As for the rub lover seasoning, I ordered it at Amazon and it came out perfect. Thank you so much.
This was the best salmon I have ever had in my life, I am blown away by how good it was! I usually bake or pan fry but this is WAY better and easier to clean up than the pan. This had the perfect crispiness, still juicy and great seasonings. Thank you!
I'm glad to hear you loved this version so much! Thank you so much for the feedback! If you can could you please leave this review on my blog it would really help me out😊
I made this for dinner tonight (with the homemade seasoning mix) and it worked perfect! Super delicious. I loved the slight sweetness of the brown sugar. For a side dish, in case anyone needs ideas, we roasted potatoes/broccoli/bell pepper in a medley.
I am so thrilled to hear that you loved this recipe so much! If you ever get a moment, I would really appreciate if you left some feedback and a star rating in the comments section of this recipe on my website here: simplyhomecooked.com/air-fryer-salmon/ It would mean so much to me. Thank you! :)
I prepared this with the handmade salmon rub you provided in an basket air fryer, O.M.G 😮!!!So good 🎉! Sweet, tangy, savory. It was my first time grilling salmon. Oh and the salmon was caught by me lol so that was even more satisfaction for me! Thank you so much for this edible recipe❤😊
Thank you for this recipe. Was in a Harry to make dinner and your video came up first. It was quick and easy. For Black or African moms, I put the salmon in for 20 minutes instead of 10. Ours were thick. The rub is delicious but because it was on only one side. My family only ate the seasoned side and left the rest of the unseasoned meat and I’m looking at it now. I’ll probably season it with the extra rub and slightly cook it again. Also I washed my salmon before patting it dry. Just some pointers for African American moms like me who will use this recipe. The rub is delicious. Next time I’ll use butter instead of oil for that buttery taste. And honey instead of sugar. Otherwise please try this recipe it’s really good
I know I'm late but I'm a mom who's allergic to fish but my son loves salmon and I truly appreciate that you gave the rub ingredients he absolutely loved this recipe...thank you soo much...
I wanted to try salmon in the air frier since I always seem to mess it up on the skillet and oh my gosh, I will never go back. That salmon rub is to die for and so easy and doing the garlic with the micro plane was also a game changer. Only changes I made was doing skin side up so it crisps more and doing the rub on all sides.
I tried this rub on my salmon for the first time a month ago and my husband and I love it. I make salmon three time a month now. I have also passed this recipe to family and friends
This was good! I used regular paprika instead of smoked and I think thats why mine was a little too spicy. But I will be using that spice rub moving forward. Thank you!
It turned out great! I added cayenne for some spice and left off the sugar. (I don’t like the sweet/savory thing.) I also spread some mustard on and added butter instead of oil. My salmon was pretty thick, so in the middle it turned out quite rare, which I enjoyed!
I am very happy with the Cosori Air Fryer. It's the perfect size for the two of us. I like the fact there's very little oil being used - that helps with cooking a bit healthier ru-vid.comUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB for the two of us. The biggest tip is do not put parchment paper - the pre-cuts are very nice - in the basket during the pre-heat setting. You will catch it on fire. Also use Avocado Oil if you're using oil. It has a high smoke point to it. RU-vid has been great with finding recipes for the Air Fryer.
Thank you so much for this recipe and for describing the ingredients for the rub. This is my toddler's favorite fish recipe, who is otherwise a very picky eater. We have gone through 5 batches of the spice rub already. 😁
Thanks for the rub recipe, I made some today and used the rub on my salmon, and also put some on my butternut squash before I roasted it, they both were delicious.
You are very welcome! Happy that you were able to enjoy this recipe :) Thank you for your feedback! If you ever get a chance I would really appreciate your feedback on my blog, it really helps me a lot! Thank you :) simplyhomecooked.com/air-fryer-salmon/
Maria, I'm so happy to hear you all enjoyed it! Thank you for the feedback! If you can could you please leave this review on my blog, it would really help me out😊
I just made this followed your instructions. This was so perfect and will do this for now on! Thanks alot!!! 👍🏻 watched from London! You wouldn't find this recipe in any restaurants
The salmon rub looks great. 😛Thanks! One tip: A regular convection oven will give perfect results just like the oven air fryer. It may take a few more minutes.
I hope you love this air fryer salmon! I actually have a lot of air fryer recipes! They are on my blog/website. I only have a few of those recipes with a video. Here is a link to my air fryer recipes- simplyhomecooked.com/category/air-fryer/
I have the Air Fryer Pro rack. Purchased the pre packaged 8oz salmon and it had the garlic butter on top already. I didn’t want it to drip so I used foil around the salmon and it helped with the butter not leaking all over. (Use a bit of non stick that was my mistake it stuck to the foil). 400* at 18 min. I let it rest 3 min and restarted the fryer for another 5 just to kill the fish. Came out great! I cooked it on the middle rack below the spinning rack and I’d say 22 min is what I’ll try next time. Hope this helps…
This was so flavorful! I was impressed by the rub. I love how quick, easy, and tasty this recipe was. My salmon cooked in just 5 minutes at 400F in the air fryer. I think they must have been smaller pieces.
*I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare **MyBest.Kitchen** a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. Also, the lack of needing oil to fry means that my family and I are eating healthier... while still enjoying the crispiness of fried foods.*
This is the 2nd recipe ive made from your channel and each time i cook them for whoever im with like omg amazing. Thank you. I left out the brown sugar it was still so so good
@@SimplyHomeCooked Here’s an update I tried it last night for dinner, And it was Wonderfully Delicious. I have the Ninja Air Fryer as well as the basket so I opted for the basket with your Temp. I did add a little extra time on it and it came out excellent and moist. Thank you.
Normally pan fry my salmon so was a little wary to try in the air fryer, but I’m SO glad I tried cos it was delicious and no fishy smells and oil all over the stove top! Am a convert!
@@rebeccaxx So happy that you loved this salmon recipe! Thank you for following up with me :) If you ever get a chance I would really appreciate your feedback on my blog, it really helps me a lot! Thank you :)
Just found this as I have to fillet some salmon tomorrow. This will do well, I might use a frying pan though. Thank you very much for the spice mix. I think this would pair well with a warm potato salad.
Thank you so much for this wonderful air fryer recipe! It’s very easy to prepare and cook fast. I made it twice in two weeks. The fish tasted great. However, both time the fish skin was stick to the rack and can’t be removed. I forgot to spray oil to the rack of the air fryer at the first time. The fish skin glued tightly to the rack. The 2nd time I did spray oil on the rack, but the same thing happened again. Please advise how to prevent this from happening again. I was hoping to have those crispy fish skin to enjoy. Thank you so much!!!
Hi :) I am so glad you love this air fryer salmon recipe! That's a great question! I have never ran into this issue since I always use the fish fillet without the skins. My best advise would be to grease the bottom of the fish skins along with the air fryer rack. I hope this helps.

Just made this. Did it all the same except over the layer of garlic, I spread about a tablespoon of maple syrup then I spread the spices on top of that.
Everyone likes their kitchen to be decorated in their own way. I am a minimalist. I don't like clutter. So if you like your kitchen decorated differently, you are welcome to do that in your kitchen. Please don't tell me how to decorate my kitchen :)
So first off, I would have, and do, process my salmon on the wrapper it came in. Why dirty a cutting board. I've used this recipe and it's great. something different to try in Molasses and Teriyaki..nothing else, so good! 🥂
"Perfect Air Fryer Salmon Recipe" (by Simply Home Cooked on RU-vid) @00:54 - Olive Oil and One grated garlic clove. @1:36 - Salmon Rub - 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of dry thyme leaves, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon of golden brown sugar. @3:15 Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees. Bake the salmon at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes if using an OVEN air fryer. If you’re using the BASKET type air fryer, cook for at least 12 minutes and add more time as needed.
Thx for sharing the recipe! Looks very yummy! Parchment paper is a better choice vs Aluminum foil because at high heat, toxic metal will evaporate & absorb into the salmon.
I made the air fryer salmon tonight and used your homemade recipe for the rub…delicious!! I used slightly bigger pieces of salmon so I cooked them for 13 minutes at 400 degrees….perfect
