Remarkable! I remember having these, in bread, with a spoonful or two of onion gravy purchased from the ladies who sold their wares in the school cafeteria. You could also buy the same combo from street stalls. Never heard of it being consumed with custard or other 'paps' though. Then again W.Africa does have regional differences in similar dishes, for example the West African Angloshere 'Jollof rice'.
