The whole game was with all of those sims and advanced multiplayer options. Remember getting it in 2001 and being blown away.and N64 was already on the way out then.
This is the best Combat Simulator theme in my opinion, it fits with every atmosphere of every fight. It's not overly energetic or too slow, it's just perfect.
@@MikeJackson690 I still haven't seen a game that has such an enormous catalog of local multiplayer options, as well as having both co-op and counter-ops multiplayer for campaign.
Hell, this GAME was way ahead of it's time. Complex storyline about secret agencies dealing with the moral problem of not only alien life forms, but cooperating with those alien life forms to stop OTHER alien life forms from using hidden ancient alien technology at the center of the earth to destroy the world...the levels, music, weaponry, and overall game experience for Perfect Dark, was far beyond that of Goldeneye, which is itself an amazing game. Perfect Dark was just that...Perfect.
Goldeneye...The beginning...the birth of the idea Perfect Dark...The ultimate climax..flawless in every way Zero....The end of everything....Curse you PDZ..curse you!
troganx1 pdz actually still has some of the best xbox 360 visuals! But sadly the clumsy wall hug/combat roll etc, along with the mp just weren't as captivating, they should've remade pd (not the indie one) then maybe made a sequel I think
While Zero's gameplay could've been better my issues with it are with the story and changes to characters. Thus, as Joshua Donoho stated, Zero never happened.
@@TheVoiceOfChaos Yes it has. Games these days are all about cinematic soundtracks, nothing close to what actual game music were like back in those days, which I missed.
It's 2016 and I still haven't played a better fps than this. The only one that had big impact on me was FarCry 3, but still perfect dark is far better. I miss that Rare and Nintendo. Oh and the multi-player, oh and the single player, oh and the perfect agent mode....and the list goes on
Hatsos Pontiak yes the older games had more ...game. Was hooked on the 64. Doom 64 was the best version. Turok 1 and 2. Quake was the balls. And the Midway race games. I miss those too
The beat in this song is so complicated, but it sounds awesome. That clicking noise, the shaker, the distorted bass drum, then the distorted snare drum in the first loop. Then on the second loop of drums playing simultaneously, they have a clear snare drum, then a clear bass drum, only accenting certain beats. Not to mention the reverb and the build up cymbal noises.. I swear i'm hearing three different snare drums, and three bass drums. But its sounds awesome.
Doom is forever my favourite FPS, but this is definitely my second favourite. It took everything Goldeneye did right and did it even better, as well as fix what it did wrong. In shorts, this game really lives up to its name. ♡♡♡
Best song on the entire game... I used to play deathmatch with bots for hours at a time with this song looped... I'm so happy I found this song again. I love it.
I'm so nostalgic, even 5 or 10 years after playing this game for the first time, this song was in my head. Too, too-too, TOO-TOO, too too-loo-loo, too too, TOO TOO
I have literally not heard this tune in years! Favourited! Just thought I'd look it up, seeing as Perfect Dark is going to be released on Xbox Live Arcade later this year with improved graphics AND online multiplayer! YES!
OMG I couldn't believe it when I heard this news! This is probably the best thing to come out of E3 this year. I loved the classic Perfect Dark on N64, but hated Zero. Now I can finally play one of my all-time favorite games again! =D
I remember the first time I heard this song when my brother first played PD, I got cold shivers just by hearing it, still get shivers from it to this very day
I can listen to this over and over again sounds so mesmerising and out of this world aliens 👽 from another dimension sound Rare did an amazing job when working with Nintendo
I love this track, reminds me of those furious multiplayer matches me, my brother, and my best friend had. Perfect Dark was the best game on the N64 IMO, even better than Goldeneye64.
This tune is so great. One of my favorites from the game. Pretty much all tracks were great and they fit the game's situations well. This one was great when you played with friends, have one guy be the terminator with 1000% health while others are at 100%, then block the view of the player who plays as terminator so he cant see what others are doing, nor others see what terminator does. With this music added, it brought a new level of excitement to the game. Ahh, memories!
What they achieved was so eclectic & yet stylistic for its time. I am truly grateful these gentleman made my childhood so full of happy memories spending time with my friends (In the same ROOM IKR? Post-Covid19!). It was the don.
Ahh, how it is to be 6 years old again. I picked this up at a local flea market one day with my brother. Best deal I've ever made in my life. 10 years later and now I'm playing it on the Xbox 360. Perfect Dark is Forever!
Imagine if Nintendo and rare still had the rights after goldeneye for this game to be another bond . I think it would have definitely failed to air this diamond of a game !!!! Joanna Dark we Live you
I love this game, and I miss it. To me it was so entertaining, this game and donkey kong (the yellow disc) overall, shamazing loved it than, love it now, and always will.
This reminds me of hitting up about two or three bowls before I finally press the start button to begin my (our our, if friends were ready for vs.) night of quality gaming.
One word: I feel so amazing listening to this theme song. Matter of fact, I'm fucking incredible mother fucker chocolate tea kissing tea bagging muff diving dude who plays N64 for a past time.. .. Well, that wasn't a One Word matter of fact.. ^_^
