Is this the ultimate beginner friendly quilt?? I think so! This pattern was a huge sewalong during the summer of 2022 and that means you can find a bunch of great examples and inspiration for different fabrics and color combinations over on instagram in the #perfectpicnicquilt tag ( / perfectpicnicquilt ) Even though the quiltalong is over, this is still a fantastic quilt to bust some fat quarter stash or to make your first quilt with. I'll show you some tips for working in small spaces, two options for row assembly, and how to nest your seams for a nice finish.

I watch soooo many tutorials that one of these days my brain is going to explode! But, I have to tell you, I love your tutorials so much! Your voice doesn’t drive me crazy, you have projects that are doable, you don’t ramble, you don’t try to get everyone to buy new fangled (waste of my hard earned money) quilting tools, you seem so sincere and kind…. and you are just adorable! Love the plaid pattern! I like the idea of a beginner-friendly quilt once in a while. I've recently been working on a couple of more difficult projects, and this one looks like a great way to relax. I certainly have the fat quarters available!
