Will Feldkamp, 2023 NCAA All-American at 184lbs, utilizes 2-on-1 to set up his dresser dump. Spencer Lee also uses a traditional 2-on-1 hold to set up his fireman's carry. I will eventually be releasing a video on that as well.
No problem. It's a hold that I don't think is utilized enough. Especially since most of the guys who use it aren't really athletic, so it means that more wrestlers can actually do the techniques
Damn brother this is clutch i cant wait to use this… i been watching alot of seth gross and his whizzer kick off a russian tie these past few weeks during his world team matches
This was awesome, I actually learned something lol. I'm not a wrestler but I know it's kinda like playing chess with the body. I never wrestled and I'm 70, but I love watching this now and am keeping track of the teams and their standings. After I got over all these baskets on such prominent display all over the place I was able to try and start learning how some of these point are scored. It really a lot more f fun to watch and to f I was a kid again I would have loved to try this - don't know if I would have been any good, but it looks like a must try thing. I don't like how there are dirty players. This sport seems like it takes you to the edge of safety to try some of those really bad moves and end up hurting someone totally unnecessarily. I would very much like to see a stronger penalty for things that create a lifetime handicap. Thanks for the teaching you did - that was so appreciated 👍👍👍
Love the channel always been an advocate for the 2 on 1 grip. I’ve been trying out the assassin pin recently and I am curious to hear your breakdown of it, you haven’t posted a lot of content on pins so perhaps this could be a new discussion video moving forward.
Do you think the overhook beats the underhook? I see a lot of guys(iranians for example) with really good systems from the underhook (like throw bys, and knee picks etc.), but it seems like guys who are dangerous with overhooks like desanto and feldcamp with great ability to firemans/dump have an edge on them. What do you think?
No. A perfect underhook beats a perfect overhook all things equal, but people feel too comfortable with the underhook so they aren’t prepared to defend against the overhook most of the time. Look at a guy like Bo Nickal who had really good overhooks. And nearly no one has a perfect underhook. Both positions are great but the underhook still has the slight advantage
Yeah man you’re right. When they reach for the far leg for a cradle is the dresser dump. I don’t know why I did that. Let me change the title so no one gets confused
Can somebody help me figure out that final move on the ground? I understand the fireman’s and dump I think to some extent but that move that he hits under the sprawl I can’t quite get despite the breakdown I was wondering if there’s somewhere else I could look this up
Hey I had a team mate that was pretty good could you check out his style of wrestling (dominic Rodrigues) he is bigger in judo since he is on the world team for USA so you might have to look for his track wrestling account
