This shows my way of finding the limit at which the burrs start to touch, in a single disassembly process.
With the top burr freely moving (just slid into position, without clicking it counter-clockwise), you have to swivel it in position and listen to the sound it makes.
If there are any scratching sounds, the burrs touch and you should "unscrew" the top burr one click (rotate the top burr counter-clokwise, so that the larger white wheel moves a position clock-wise)
If there are no scratching sound, screw/rotate the top burr clock-wise, and test at each step for the scratching sounds.
When scratching, move back one position and that should be the minimum distance the burrs accept.
This way, when the dial is set to minimum, you will actually have the absolute minium distance between the burrs
