Weight transfer is the name of the game! Smooth is fast, fast is smooth. I remember I once read an AutoX pro say: "Your hands should always be doing something. Never keep them straight" And when I was new I used to do that a lot. After turning at a cone I would turn all the way to point at the next cone and then straighten the wheel and continue like that until I reach the next cone and yank the wheel into it. But you shouldn't do that. You should turn kind of away from the next cone juuuust a little bit so when youre coming at the cone, you should then turn into it and use that weight transfer to your advantage. If done right, you should also "backside" the cone. Great tips my man!
Hands should always be doing something?? That’s… interesting. Hahaha! I need to come out to an AutoX soon to see your improvements! I wanted to make this video because it’s hopefully a simple concept to break down to not overthink it!
@@VictorPitstop yeah! I think they don't mean you should be like playing with the steering wheel like the guy you showed at the beginning of the video. But they mean like you should always have some kind of steering input you know? Always turning even if it's a little bit. You know like playing with weight transfer like the chassis driving you mentioned. Loved the video man it was super helpful. I don't go to AutoX as much because of the baby haha but hopefully some day I'll be able to go back or perhaps even a track day
