Reviewing 'Ombré Leather' by Tom Ford. www.aaronterencehughes.co.uk Instagram - AaronTerenceHughes #FragranceReview #AaronTerenceHughes #TomFord Music: Sleepdebt - I C U
This is a leather fragrance if you smell it straight from the nozzle or on test strip. However, it doesn't smell like leather when worn and catching the scent through the air. This is the first fragrance experience where I realise how it can be transformed and be different between straight on smelling it and on skin.
Hey Aaron. A few videos again you said that someone having your fragrance as a signature is the highest compliment, and I wanted to tell you that Onyx has been my signature scent since I first tried it 2 years ago. I love your work🙏
When I first spray this on, it smells like a black leather jacket. Then the Jasmine just sinks in and soars on my skin. I love the floral aspect. It’s so rich. It performs beautifully. I own a large bottle and a small one and I went through a travel vial and somehow this makes me want to buy more. Can’t see how much is left and I love this size bottle 🖤
I absolutely love this fragrance! I own this and the Parfum and they're both almost the same with the Parfum having a smoother, lighter, and more floral opening. This scent reminds me of a leather jacket with raspberry or strawberry jam kind of smeared on it or something lol. Awesome review!
As always great review Aaron! Would be very interested in a review of Armani Privé - Bleu Turquoise, and hear what you have to say about it. Its by far my favourite fall/winter fragrance and very interesting since its a warm Vanilla/Seasalt combination wich the perfumer nailed perfectly.
This was a transformative fragrance for me like so many have said. It really struck me as one of the most magnificent things I had smelled, especially as somebody new to the game. It's wonderful to hear your impressions and the methods of construction. Love your work as always! My scent of the day today was your Maverick! Love that stuff!
Thanks Aaron, for your fantastical reviews! Personally, I would've preferred the leather in this to have been a little more smoky. By the way, would you please consider reviewing Kalan by Parfums de Marly?
This is the fragrance that actually got me into fragrances. I'd love to see you do something like this as I think you could do it better, do it in your own style and make it super fantastico
Aaron rereviewed one of my top 3 fragrances in my collection, since I love leather fragrances. I was so surprised in your previous review when you said it doesn't project, since this is one of the few fragrances my gf says they project a lot and I only do two sprays. So, I am really, really happy that you scored it so high and that you rereviewed it. Thank you!
This is my favourite tf and oud wood ,grey vetiver, lost cherry. I immediatly purchased after smelled it 4 years ago. I can smell this all year ((but not days off summer) It gives me luxury feel . However,i recently bumped into "black leather" at tj maxx for 15$ and it's the same cologne. Now i have them both. But surprisingly there are no differences at all.
Dude, i've been decanting your 9+ reviews -- gotta say, your nose is unmatched, a lot of the fragrances I've tried from you, they definitely take you on a journey (been stalking your channel for a while)
Its one of my favourites. It doesn't have that dryness of Tuscan Leather, which is very very leather with that raspberry touch. For Ombre Leather I would like the fruit upped, or perhaps a leather and jasmine, or the raspberry. But it is gorgeous.
Well priced for the 150ml Quality all the way I do prefer the parfum (with the white label) seems a little more refined to me 👌🏼great longevity too ,lasts days …..
They only time I'll disagree with you Aaron. For me, this is a 10/10 fragrance. There is something about it that captivated me the first time I smelt it. Great video as aways!!!
I use it when i ride my motorcycle. I have a leather racing suit, and Umbre Leather is perfect. Got to go one spray in the high heat, but it has never been a problem.
Hi Aaron, your first review of Ombre Leather was not that good at all. I was devasted since its my favourite fragrance. Im sooo glad you turned around and reviewed it again. Amazing video as always !
Sephora has/had an offer to purchase a sample pack for $70-$89 wich can be traded, in the form of a voucher, for a full size bottle of your choice, but must be one of the options in the sample pack you purchased. TF Ombre Leather is/was one of those samples=TF Ombre Leather 50ml for $70-89. Updated: In-stock 3 "Sampler Sets" options $85.00. The Pink one has 16 samples w/ (Ombre Leather) as best value. 50ml retails for $155 on their site. But there are others in various sizes 30 ml, even 100ml. Pick the 1 that peaks your interest. 🤞 good luck!
@@osmathgreenle8986I agree! And I own a large bottle and this size. I use it a lot and can never tell how much is left. I really love this size and I may get a set just to have another backup
TF OL is such a great scent, when we are inundated with freshies and super sweet this scent stands out. TBH I think it is more floral than leather. This is the only scent for which I was happy to break my own £100 barrier; although I got a brand new 100ml for £90 (airport discounts if pre-ordered!!)
Great review. I've grown weary of TF because most lack longevity, at least on my skin. Would you please consider creating a video with your top favorite fragrances that you'd consider year-round? Thanks again. 😊❤️
There are people that don't want big Longevity because they use different scent at work ,gym, and night . Also people that are clean and bath everyday also don't need 12 hours perfume, and again people that wash their clothes also don't want to have a shirt smelling perfume for 2 days.
Just received my Addicted and two Kunts. Both are nice. Quite unique scents, wearable. I like 30ml format. Kunt have something from Ombre Leather and PDM Pegasus Exclusive (opening)
Hey Aaron, love your content. You definitely got me interested in perfumery from a technical standpoint. I wanted to recommend you a house, Mes Bisous from Turkey. I have their oud and it’s absolutely monstrous. Can we get a review pls? Love 🇹🇷
I will say. This fragrance is very very sophisticated smelling. Professional, mature, yet could still be youthful. It’s sweet but not cloying. I’m not very good at describing the notes but it reminds me of a hotel, with a lot of leather furniture and incense in the air, with roses everywhere. That’s where it takes me . I do like it but it’s kind of not worth the price
Not worth the price? You know by that performance you need 3 sprays an it lasts the entire work day… 100ml I'm convinced will last me 4 years no problem. Sure I own 30 fragrances but I wear one everyday…. 2-8 sprays depending on which one I wear. Same goes for Ombre Leather (fk the hype I love it on my skin/hair) and 2 sprays are enough for 10h and 4 sprays does it for 16h+ on my skin… You can’t say that’s not worth it, when we’re talking about a scent that doesn’t blind your nose after 1-2 hours and it’s gone for others after 5h or so… (I work 11h a day) You can smell it yourself constantly and it will last 4 years plus if it’s not you daily fragrance… I don’t say this because otherwise it would hurt, but most of my fragrances I love the most are 150€ plus fragrances.
hey aaron, do you think it would be possible to review the 2023 YSL M7, one of those days. Really curious about your take on that controversial new formulation...love your work
I own both the edp and the perfume and I noticed there is a lingering scent of smoke or ash almost to the edp which I absolutely love. You can smell it close to your skin in particular. The perfume doesn't have that, which makes it more suitable for...business settings I guess? I have been wearing both to office though, in order to a/b how I experience them. By the way, would you ever consider doing a Tom Ford homage scent? I bet we would be all over that one haha 😅
Now, the most important question: Is it similar as patches released before? Does it have the structure as it was in earlier patches, OR has it changed similarly as almost ALL other TF;s do???
I like this scent but I can’t wear it as it gives me a headache which is really annoying. Wonder if I should try the parfum to see if it’s any different?
Gents I only wear this cologne and need a summer scent but all summer scents to me smells like designer/mainstream scents. What would you recommend for me if I like leather, smoky and a bit dark/mysterious scents?
Best fragrance reviews on RU-vid. However, I really didn't get on with this scent. It smelt of mouldy wet leather on me. It's definitely not a blind buy scent.
I want to buy my first original tom ford (i own you know, the arab clones). I am between Noir Extreme, Black Orchid or Ombre Leather. If I listen to Aaron's score then Black Orchid it is!
Hey Aaron, love your videos! Something I've been missing across the whole community, is what type of person do you think the fragrances suit? Like, what clothing style or behavior, or even 'stereotype' do you imagine'. Of course this is very subjective and in a way promotes prejudice so I do see the downsides, but I've tried some highly rated niche scents lately, like Naxos and Herod, and while they are undoubtedly high quality and I love them both, I don't think they suit my style. It would be great to have some general archetypes, compare fragrances to certain celebrities or popular fashion styles. Let me know if this is a stupid idea or not!
Yeah I think it's probably too subjective to comment on strongly. I'd say the best advice is to try fragrances on your own skin before you buy. Figure out what notes you like and what fragrance family suits your style
Smells sexy asf, give it time to adjust. In the air/wind smells beautiful. Picked up another 100 ml bottle as my other bottle running low. Great stuff, scent for life.
