I had a combination of chemotherapy for base of tongue cancer in 2008 which has caused irreversible damage to my nervous system leaving me with polyneuropathy which includes my peripheral nervous system and my automanoic nervous system. I have been told there is no treatment available for me, it has taken me from 2012 to last year to get this diagnosis. I am a 75 year old woman who lives in England.

What amazing information you have provided to so many of us!! My only wish, would be to get lucky enough to find a Dr. like you near me I have lupus/Sjogrens/LN (not active)/pericardial tamponade 2016… But, I only receive basic test to see inflammatory markers and given prednisone. I get severe stabbing pain in my left side of abdomen, I experience an aura like sensation and I prepare for my body to slowly weaken to the point I can no longer move open eye speak. Prednisone stops it, but how long do I stay on high dose of prednisone without known cause. My last attack delayed my processing, executive functions etc. So bad that I am recovering but this short comment is creating extreme fatigue Both of you are wonderful

@@agingbackwardsphotoevidenc2159 I'd like to know how recently. I don't have diabetes but I do have peripheral neuropathy in my feet for which I've been taking gabapentin for around 5 years. It never goes away, and the pills don't do much except make the irritation a little easier to bear-most of the time. What I wouldn't give for this to be mitigated.

Please help..What info do you have about nerve damage or disruption to signals to my right diaphragm that can be corrected. It is paralyzed & rides up under my right lung. What triggered it? I lifted something too heavy for me with no immediate pain or symptoms. 2 days later I threw an apple as far as I could. Had extreme pain that night in right shoulder on scale of 7-8. Pain lasted 2 weeks. Then noticed my breathing was affected. It took several months to eventually have a moving x-ray which revealed rt diaphragm was not functioning. Started massages again since vaccinated & boosted. Massage therapists could feel rt diaphragm wadded up under lung. After 2 sessions she said she could feel rt diaphragm respond a bit when I did deep breathing. This positive response encourages me that whatever nerve or tendon or ? damage happened, I am seeking potential insights or treatments that reactivate the rt diaphragm. Can imagine a baseball pitcher that may have had a similar damage, & it was corrected/healed. Please respond with ideas..🙏 thank you! Penelope

Diagnosed CIDP in 2016 onset 2015, have been using Dr. Terry Wahls proocol for autoimmune disorders, it has been a great help in keeping me on my feet walking with some gait and balance deterioration but I have improved with constant exercise and mental focus on my feet each step. Best of Luck. JB
