Peripheral Neuropathy treatment is challenging. One may have foot tingling and numbness or possibly fingers and hand tingling from chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) or other medical reasons. In this video, I share ways to find relief from neuropathy pain with sensory treatment at home, balance training, and peripheral neuropathy exercises.

Thank you so much Kel. I've just completed my chemo for lymphoma. I get alot of numbness and pins and needles. I find it to be annoying. I start radiotherapy in September also. I will try all that you shown in your video and hopefully that will help. Chemo is very challenging, but I am getting there slowly. Thank you for your wonderful video.

@@funniful OMG you took the thoughts right out of my head. I finished my 6 treatments on chemo one year ago and I have had severe neuropathy in my feet ever since! It's horrible life changing pain that I feel 24/7. It drains my energy everyday. By nightfall I get extremely tired 😫 and the pain gets worse. My doctors told me nothing about this as well. They have no cure options besides Gabopatin and Ladacane Numbing cream does help alot. I have researched that Laser treatments can instantly cure CIPN. I have to pay 3k out of pocket as insurance only covers half under Physical Therapy. Look into that. If we were to wear ice socks during chemo treatments I feel as if I wouldn't have this neuropathy. Taxol is the chemo drug I think that mainly causes horrible neuropathy. Studies show that everyone doesn't get neuropathy during chemo and they don't know why.

I had chemo 20 years ago, and peripheral neuropathy and cramp. They stopped Oncovin halfway for my feet. Both symptoms have improved somewhat over time. Cramp is much less now, although I still get a small amount. Neuropathy (numbness and tingling in the feet) has a improved slightly, but not so much. I would say my feet are half-way numb. Good luck with your symptoms. BTW my doctor offered Quinine for cramp, but said it has little effect, so I declined. Fortunately, it just got better, slowly.

Hi.. What vitamin brand of B6 and b12are you using. I've been using a B Complex from GNC AND my neuropathy from radiation, Chemo and immunotherapy has caused too many side effects, my Oncologist NEVER discussed how serious some side effects would be, after round 4 of immunotherapy I had to stop treatments , ending up in ICU with Stevens Johnson syndrome, Now I had to stop treatments all together:( Any ADVISE on vitamins should be greatly appreciate. Thank you Take care Love and light♡ Mary.

I'm using Nature Made B12 1000 mcg once per day. To be honest, time could be as much a factor as anything as nerves take a very long time to heal. My fingers are much better after 6 months; my feet are improving my hope is 1 year to be better. My neuropathy was not debilitating, just annoying mostly numbness and not pain. I know that it can be really bad for some. I had six treatments and frankly the neuropathy was worst at about 4 months after treatments. In my case Vinchristine and Cytoxin were the likely cause. I'm sorry you're having a difficult time and have to deal with this. The emotional struggle is equally if not more difficult than the physical one. I can only say to you to do your best to treat your whole self as best you can. Vitamins aren't a sure bet, but eat good food, take good care of your hands, feet, head, and mouth. Find meditation and mindfulness podcasts and do your best to keep relaxed and your spirits up. Exercise if you can, if only for 5 minutes-- I did stationary bike and walking. We are all fragile and sacred beings, I wish you peace and comfort in difficult and trying circumstances. @Giovanni Maisano

Castor Oil on its own helps on the feet and cayenne pepper added to the oil brings nice warmth. It really relieves pain. Just take a cloth the size of your sole, drizzle castor oil on it, add 1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper and put on bottom of foot and slip a sock over top and sleep with that. It also makes your skin look great. If you get oil on your sheets, Dawn dish soap gets it out.

Folks reading this: you might want to look into R-Alpha Lopoic Acid (needs to be R ALA, not S ALA). My doc also has me on fish oil, vitamin D, CoQ10, and magnesium. Hope this helps - they seem to be helping me with my neuropathy. I didn’t get it from chemotherapy though - none of my doctors can figure out why I have it. I developed it after getting an MRI with contrast and being on methotrexate for three weeks. So far I’m about 75% healed after having peripheral neuropathy from the neck down to my feet. Wishing you all the best.

I am assuming you should do this AFTER you have chemical induced neuropathy. What about PREVENTING it? Such as icing your hands and feet? People use a cold cap to save their hair. It basically freezes the hair follicle not allowing he chemical to destroy it. What would you recommend for icing to STOP neuropathy to your hands and feet?

Oncologist same to not know anything but cancer, surgery and chemo. I have had ovarian cancer twice. Had the top oncologist at two different teaching hospitals with colleges. The first one couldn’t recognize muscle spasms or the cancer when it came back. The second oncologist at the second teaching hospital did not recognize lymphedema. Neither mention the numbness in my feet. I have followed a trail of videos and found doctors that are listening. It has been a journey starting in 2010. If only someone would have recognized symptoms my journey would have been much easier. This is the best teaching I have found for so many of my unanswered questions and ways to help myself.

Hi Leah... I too.have chemo, radiation. Immunotherapy post treatments 2 years out, Went crazy searching ways to have some kind of quality of life with all the serious side effects and nerve damages all the treatments caused. Dr to Dr, podiatrist. I massage my feet nightly, soak, wear socks to bed. Sometimes I wear my slippers to bed too...cannot stand my feet touching, or in caertain shoes. Difficult to walk morning in slipper and was hard to find a SHOE comfortable to get through days. Otherwise I'd sit in a wheel chair after hours of walking, SAME they'd get hot and painful, I found NEW BALANCE sneakers for heal pad atrophy and planter Fasciitis that ARE AMAZING for Neuropathy, When I tried them ON I literally had happy tears that they felt AMAZING . They have string laces that do NOT put pressure on feet: I FEEL for all who are suffering, PAIN ts aweful and we NEED quality of LIFE! , take care♡ Mary
