Check out this full mountain review of Perisher Ski Resort in Australia.
Australia is not typically known for its ski resorts, but it's actually home to some incredible options. Perisher is the country's largest ski resort and the southern hemisphere's largest as well. Spread across seven different mountain peaks, the resort is divided into four distinct areas and boasts 47 lifts. With so much to explore, it may take a week or even a season to fully experience everything Perisher has to offer. Although we visited in late September 2022 towards the end of the season, the blue skies made for an exceptional trip to the Australian Snowy Mountains. Don't let the misconception that Australia doesn't have great ski resorts deter you from experiencing Perisher, as it truly is one of the best alpine experiences in the country.

Awesome video, I’m a big fan of Perisher. The resort built a new lift in 2019, replacing a T-Bar. The mount Perisher double and triple chairs are due to be replaced by a 6 pack express chair soon, which should be good. Great video again!

I really appreciate this video, not many people make videos about the snow in Australia (even though it is amazing) so thank you and keep the the good work.

The magic of Perisher is the amount of rideable terrain between the runs means you can really plot your own trails across the mountains and results in many hidden runs that only require a short hike to access.

This is one of our favourite things about any resort, really getting out and exploring what’s not on the map.

Perisher is certainly a great resort, nothing compared to Japan or New Zealand but for a local mountain it’s great.

Hmm, is that Uwe Boehm in the image with the Sundeck in the background? He was in the ski school when I was a small child.

Epic pass good value, day pass price a shocker😮 had a week's skiing in FIS WC downhill venue Bormio/Santa Caterina this year for price of day ticket in Perisher.

there are two other expert trails, them being kamikaze, and rock garden (this is rated black, but is by far the hardest on the mountain)

Sadly it is quite flat, it’s a huge resort but certainly not steep or have consistent pitches.

@@snowstash I did a couple of days there in 2011. I had a good time and don't remember the flatness!
@victorsamsung2921

@@snowstash Quite flat compared to your Aspen, Chamonix, Whistler or Saalbach-Hinterglemm etc. Then again, those areas have rocky peaks of 3km (10.000 ft) and higher in altitude with steep descents. The Australian Alps are very young when compared to the Rockies or the Alps. Hence, no wonder Mt. Kosziusko stands at 2.228 meters and the Australian Alps continue to grow according to recent research.
