Yea and its just heartbreaking that the love of America and the love between its citizens has been taken over by the Democrat liberal haters and cheaters and just plain scum! These are evil people and these are desperate times!
Unless you lived through these magical times, you can't understand the feelings and emotions that this music stirs. I'm so grateful to have been born when I was and to have grown up with these musical legends. Growing older is not for the faint of heart but listening to this reminds me I wouldn't want to be a part of any other generation. Reading some of these beautiful comments lets me know I'm in good company.
This was my late husbands favourite song and singer.. my husband used to often sing this to me. We were together for 28 years when he died in my arms of a heart-attack. Now there was a man of integrity and ethics. I was blessed to have him in my life.
Sadly things have changed so much since Como's time. It's all gone sour due to choices people make. One cannot produce sweetness out of sour. Even marriages don't last that long. With the world upside down, and this one gender world we are rushing into, not to mention racial hatreds and compensations , loss of morals, ethic and integrity, plus with zero respect for authority, I think it's time for Jesus to come and take out this evil.
The Music makers today don’t know those days … I’m so HaPpY I do . ♥️♥️♥️They are another Generation .. Be Good to them even If we don’t understand their Music …. Every Generation is different … Respect it or don’t listen. They are making their best way … I Really Appreciate they are not sitting on Streets begging for Money like here in NYC … B3 BLESSED
I sang this song for my wife on our wedding day 10-01-2010. Thanks Perry for singing this song for us and this song was the first English song I learned when I started to love singing English songs. RIP Perry Como, your songs will last a life time.
I never heard a bad thing about perry como. Knowing the good things I’ve heard about him makes me like him even more he has my respect one hundred percent. Why can’t there be more like him. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
These golden voices from the past will never be teplaced❤. I’m 65 and I remember seeing my mother putting on vinyl and spinning around our living room in her beautiful cotton print dress❤❤❤ahhhh those were the day..,,
In the 1970's I had a terrible crush on Perry Como. I thought he was so handsome and had a marvelous voice. Also loved the fact that he only married once and stayed married to the same woman until she died in 1998. He was devestated by her death. And he never had any scandal attached to his name.
Time does not diminish this great collaboration. Chet fills in everything we want to hear and knows when to let Perry take center stage. Studio musician at his absolute best.
My Mom used to listen to Perry Como every Christmas. Though my parents are both long gone to their reward in heaven, listening to this voice brings me back to my childhood and the joy that his voice brought to my Mom❤️
This is what we call a "masterclass" today. Superb musical talent vocally, and legendary accompanying guitar by a "studio musician". No over-the -top tricks needed, but Chet threw a couple in there and made them fit perfectly. Perry Como or Frank Sinatra - man !...their fans argued who was better for years !
I love the way you put "studio musician" in quotes. I wonder how many people, hearing this, think that Atkins was actually a studio musician. He was one of the best.
OH, what this music does for the SOUL cannot be measured in anything but sentiment and the beating of our hearts!!! What a treat this, to hear them together!! 🎵🌹⭐🎵
A voice from the clouds. A tinkling guitar in answer from a dusty street. All come together to make music so sweet. The electric impulses fizzes and pops in the air. Like magic touches your hair. Lifts it as would an unseen hand. Your heart and senses soar as if shot from a rubber band. Mr.C and Mr A's names are written in time,on your heart and in the desert sand.
@@margaretduffy2962 Thank you Margaret. My late spouse's favourite Funny how time slips away. By Mr C. And last date by Mr A. I could imitate Mr. C very well. My favourite And I love you so. Sang it to her for 51years.
The best singer of them all, and that’s saying something, he’s so smooth with his voice so full of emotion , thanks Perry you’ll always be my favourite RIP🙏🙏🙏
Wow thankyou so much for sharing the beautiful memories of Perry Como. Such an amazing gentle voice. I"ve always loved his voice and his beautiful songs. You will live in your fans hearts for eternity..❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Please if you have time please listen to Nathaniel Roberto's cover of this beautiful song and if it's ok with you please subscribe I'll be so thankful 🙏
This duo is hard to beat!!!! UNLIKE other friends Perry AWAYS comes to my rescue...He is so damned awesome and handsome!!! Perry is as handsome now as I remember him 10 years ago...Life agrees with him and THAT voice! Such a gentle human being!
You people that we're fortunate like myself, know what good music is like, believe it was a great time to be born in that era , Love appeared to some till death we part, of course some always thought the grass was greener on the other side of fence until they had to mow that to ! So glad I had a taste of the years where people helped one another, now it's so many are into self!
My father would listen to this all the time. I think that it resonates his feelings of war. And not being afraid to die. Love songs of Roger Whitticker
I concur a one in a million voice. An intimacy of feeling that sets your heart reaching and searching for choice. A timeless song . A moment in life's busy
Chet was also the producer for both this song but also the accompanying album of the same name; one of his last productions at RCA. He also produced another successful single for PC (Seattle) slightly earlier.
A most unlikely duet that is magic. Two incredible talents meet and that magic is created. So glad I happened on this recording. So very rare to find something as special as these two gentlemen doing what they do best.
I had several Perry Como albums. At Wilson College in 1970-'74 (all women then), I played those vinyl albums and I played Barbra Streisand's Stoney End album( At the Forum). I would face the speakers out my window mid campus, and crank up the volume. Haha. Both brilliant vocalists.
