I keep seeing people in the comments saying stuff like “this is why I don’t play fes, the ai party members suck.” You guys do realize that this video was talking about the enemy ai, right? Plus, the ai for the party members really isn’t that bad.
@@tristanraine it does suck, yukari knows mediaharen and the entire party is at half health I have her set on heal/support and she fucking uses dia on a random party member
Look, I'm gonna sound dumb right now but bear with me, Persona 3 FES is the most fun I've had with an turn based RPG's combat system, and I've played Persona 5, 4 and Final Fantasy 7, exactly because of the AI controled party members, the unpredictable nature of it all aligned with the strategy that comes with using the commands menu just makes everything extremelly fun to me. Anyways, I just wanted to express my feelings about the matter
Well, I'm glad that there's a fellow chaos enjoyer. But I guess we can't blame the majority for disliking the lack of control mechanic in a strategy game.
Eh, they mostly did what you want them to do. The only hard thing is telling them to use aoe healing spell so you have to do it yourself. But if it's just attacking or debuffing they're good.
I can relate to this. Fighting those rocking chair bosses that mostly attack with fire and ice. Aigis is the only survivor and I just spam normal attack

@@antoinelandry1140 Yes but no. Because the tactics menu doesn't say "100% guaranteed to do exactly what you want". It's still a gamble if they are going to do exactly what you need them to do....
You still won, but right after that Mind Charge I'd have buffed everyone's defense, cast Tarunda or at least defended. Mind Charge in a boss battle is usually bad news 😂
I don't know what's more idiotic. Is it the party members using their weakest attacks and getting themselves knocked out due to it, or is it the shadow that keeps using a skill that you can block despite having the ability to nullify the resistance? I get that you're supposed to set your part members to other command styles, but anyone who thinks that excuses the atrocious "act freely" A.I. has some screws loose themselves.
He nulls/absorbs every element but elec, which is why. Understandable for Aki though, I do wonder why he never used a Zio skill. That said I actually don't mind FES' battle system. If you know how to actually use the tactics system, it's not that bad.
@@mattiswan1 So I heard, don't worry I won't give up on it. I want to experience The Answer for myself. I know that there's also the Tactics which I heard if you use it, it can make things better, but thanks for the reassurance, I'll make sure to enjoy it :D
The ai party member and the answer existing are why persona 3 fes is the worst way to play, p3p atill has the garbage story all p3 has but atleast you don't have to sudfer through garbage ai
