merciless difficulty is the easiest difficulty ingame atm, enemies are tougher, but you do triple damage with weakness breaks and crits, so you basically can 1 shot half of the enemies ingame. Also, he had matarukaja on him, while being overleveled to fuck. And a debilitate on jin, for good measure.
