Oh, neat! So the evil presence behind the whole GP is twisting the words one person thinks they’re saying (e.g.: Kanji saying he wishes Naoto wasn’t so formal with him when you’re playing as Kanji) into an overblown caricature of what they’re actually saying when you’re playing as their “opponent”.
I love how every media makes the crush between Naoto and Kanji mutual. Like the simple fact that him simply showing up throws her off her game, it's clear she likes him too. She's cute but I could never do Kanji dirty like that
In the original game, if you get Naoto's female school uniform as an alternate costume, which sadly you can only get by dating her and I don't know if it carries over in new game plus, you can activate an adorable conversation. If you have Kanji in the party too and talk to Naoto while she's wearing it, she will say she's still getting used to it and ask if it looks strange. Kanji will respond, "No! You don't look strange at all! Actually you look really cu- cu- cu-" he can't finish but you can tell he's trying to say cute. Naoto will reply, "Oh please don't force yourself, Kanji-kun. A tough guy like you pretending to get weak in the knees over me is beyond the pale." So this conversation proves one thing: Naoto DOES know Kanji acts this way because he likes her, but she THINKS he's just pretending. And that is hilarious.
@@dr.tacophd1239 I found out from a video showing all the costume dialogues. I'll never romance her myself; though she is my favorite character. Another cute thing with Kanji and Naoto is in the dancing game. If you pair them as dance partners they have special dialogue that's really cute. If Kanji is the main dancer, with Naoto as the heat support, he will end the dance by saying, "You outta breath? Dance with me again ok?" Or sometimes he'll say, "You look, uh, good doing that!" On the flip side, if Naoto is the main dancer, she will sometimes playfully tease Kanji for blushing. As an added bonus: Kanji dances worse with Naoto because he keeps getting flustered and loses his rhythm. 😆
My favorite thing is that, unlike Kanji's side of the conversation, Naoto can tell something's off with Kanji immediately. Naoto: Who are you and what have you done with Kanji? Kanji: What? Naoto: The real Kanji would never have the courage to speak to me that casually. It's often more blushing and stumbling over his sentences.
2:22 Naoto channeled her inner Jonathan Joestar XD (for those who don't get it, she screamed HAMON) [Yes, I know she's casting HAMO-ON, but the way she said it sounds like HAMON]
