Stripper shadows...... that is all. This is the dungeon theme for the Marukyu Striptease I do not own anything of the Persona series. All rights regarding the Persona series is owned by Atlus.
Shadow Rise is the only shadow that the Investigation team never successfully defeated. Rise Kujikawa's innermost desires must have been pretty intense.
@@greenydogous7426 how so? As far as I remember, it's not anything like Futaba's max skills where she can charge/focus the party, give all 3 stat boosts and stop an attack from downing the party regardless of strength. Also she can get boosts to how frequent she uses her abilities.
I wouldn't say it's her desires, if anything all three support persona users have one thing in common: seeing and experiencing the worst that humans can be to one another, and still finding the strength within themselves to help others in their time of need: Fuuka had to experience intense bullying from her peers, and it was only her will to save Natsuki, S.E.E.S and the immediate need to do so did she use an evoker for the first and only time to save everyone. Rise, who was an idol, had to have experienced the worst that people can be (feel free to look up how bad Japanese idols can be treated, you'll find plenty of examples of how bad it can be, including Perfect Blue.) was only able to gain control of her shadow after it took a literal sacrifice of someone else to help her realize what she perceived to be the truth of her situation: her understanding of people, and their shadows, which in turn helped The Investigation Team. And Futaba, who had/helped The Phantom Thieves fight the literal manifestation of her anxiety, had to be told she was nothing more then a burden to other people from a forged note to come to terms with the fact she could be more then just a NEET with computer skills: she also knew how bad people can be to each other, both behind a computer screen, and face to face.
Dear Shadow Rise: Please Please PLEASE stop the weird squishy noises. I have a hard enough time trying to explain why a technicolor featureless woman (save for face satellite) is on a stripper's pole laughing like a maniac. You aren't helping!
@@ebihara8655 No, I really didn't. That just felt uncomfortable. Namely the slime-like sounds as she did it. At least its easier to understand and explain before she went full rainbow on me, and sadly I don't mean going lesbian...
Fun fact: in Europe, Persona 3 is rated 12 while 4 and 5 are both rated 16. This leads me to believe that the existence of Rise's dungeon and Kamoshida's palace increased the age rating on their own.
@josiahwright3751 The weird thing I find about kamoshida is that he's a pretty good-looking guy. He's ripped, and Tall has a good amount of money. He's the type of guy who wouldn't need to grape because he would have easy access to most women. Most grapists are ugly dudes whoabre either scrawny or fat. It's like well why did he grape her if he could go on tinder and bang a swimsuit model instead!? I find Mitsuo graping people to be much more plausible than a guy like Kamoshida.
any navigator born after 1991 can't cook. all they know is "I'm ready! Invoking Oracle!", "...shouldn't someone heal Yukiko-senpai...?", and "This one! Defense up!"
The choice of picture for this song is also great. Not Rise on the pole, not in a bathing suit. Just her normal self. Even that shows what sexual power this girl emanates by merely existing.
I’m one of those detail oriented type people, and since I pay attention to detail, your description of Rise seems pretty accurate. The way how thirsty she was to Yu/us players of the game post-Shadow Rise, matches with what you said.🤔😂
@@alexanderavila8488 It's a tabletop roleplaying series, but I was specifically referring to the video game "Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines" because this song just reminded me of the club music in that lmao.
Played this dungeon next to my big brother when I was younger. Needless to say I spedrun that dungeon as fast as I could to escape the uncomfortableness.
My grandparents entered the house while I was lost wondering this dungeon and I didn't have any items to leave the dungeon at the time so I had to try explain how it wasn't as bad as they were thinking.
Currently going through P4 Golden after P5 Royal was my first experience with Persona. This dungeon made me more uncomfortable than Kamoshida's, largely because of this song.
At least in kamoshidas case, you are hunting a very bad teacher in his palace to make him confess his crimes and basically beat the shit outta his shadow. Rise however....
The psychedelic form of Shadow Rise has to be one of my favorite, if not my most favorite boss designs in this game because of how deeply symbolic its features reflect Rise's real feelings. For one, the whole reason why her Shadow embodied a stripper is because of how she feels objectified by the public. It's colorful featureless properties resembles how Rise doesn't know what her real identity is due to her whole life being surrounded by acting a part in showbiz, and the giant sequin for a face is representative of how she feels like she always needs to put on a glamorous mask for everyone, never being able to be herself anywhere because that is the only face and identity that the public knows and accepts her as.
@@samsungtv2656 Ya in his bossfight, in fact if you look at the whole arena it's a woman's body , above him is the chest and the doorway has a pair of woman's legs above it suggesting... you know
