Honestly, the peak moment of hearing this for me was Madarame's museum. It took me months to get through it, and this song motivated me into pulling an all-nighter.
*Yoshis Calling Card*: Yoshi, Tax Evader and Dirty Thief, Your time of Greed is over, We will successfully take your heart without fail - From the Phantom Thieves Of Hearts.
The problem with being a persona fan is that I can’t mind my own business without this being stuck in my head at Walmart and thinking I’m infiltrating someone’s palace
True story i saw a friend of mine sprinting and i caught up to him cause i thought he was in danger and he said his girlfriend parents arent home and im running there i stopped and died laughing
Honestly, having never played a persona game, approaching kamoshidas palace and hearing this track wind up, blew my mind, one of the best game experiences I've ever had.
I've played P3P and P4 before I started P5, and the "blew my mind, one of the best game experiences I've ever had" happened to me when this song first played in P5 too lol
Finally got this game and just beat kamoshida's palace....the moment this cranked up and I got to the throne room i just casually strolled to the treasure as if our little rag tag group owned the place....and let me tell you it felt great
SuperHexer123 trust me, you will love hearing this theme for all 7 palaces! Wait, does that mean every palace ruler represents one of the 7 Deadly Sins?
Mimikyu Playz looks like it, remember Kamoshida as lust and that mafia boss as greed, but the rest is i dunno coz theres no gluttony unless hungry for power instead
This is from the SMT wiki Suguru Kamoshida/Asmodeus: Lust Ichiryusai Madarame/Azazel: Vanity Junya Kaneshiro/Bael: Gluttony Shadow Futaba: Apathy (Acedia or "Spiritual Sloth") Cognitive Wakaba Isshiki: Wrath Kunikazu Okumura/Mammon: Greed Sae Niijima/Leviathan: Envy Masayoshi Shido/Samael: Pride The prison in the abyss of Mementos: Sloth Yaldabaoth and Satanael: All the Deadly Sins "Sloth" and "Apathy (Acedia)" are sometimes considered the same.
Renegade Games I've made some connections This will have Spoilers Kamoshida: lust Madarame: vainglory Kaneshiro: gluttony Futaba: sloth Okumura: greed I couldn't decided which is which but Nijima and shido are either pride and wrath.
Yup. Security won't be lowered + unavoidable boss fight. That's why I take on most of the Shadows, especially all the ones that are in my way when I'm going to the objective, a safe room that I haven't discovered yet, or a chest. It's also why I have my character train from time to time.
The first time I went through this, I forgot that I could just jump to a Save Room from the start.. Nevertheless, running through the whole castle (palace) was epic, thanks to this song!
I gotta admit this is easily the most hype moment when infiltrating a palace. Just alerting the boss and seeing that 99% detection and this music kicking in as your rushing towards the treasure adds a whole new vibe in palaces
Listened to this with bluetooth earbuds while going outside during a pandemic to buy p5r steelbook edition, 10/10 would infiltrate walmart to this theme again
I did the same thing but instead of doing it on i got the steelbook. As the minecraft weeb I was. did it while infiltrating a Nether Fortress. I've never felt so strong in such a difficult area before
I swear to god.. after going through the entire palace, (especially the long ones) hearing his music and seeing the 99% security meter pop is enough to tell someone to play this game. THIS MOMENT IS SO HYPE Edit: Yeah take out the fast travel system on the infiltration but make the enemies a biiiiittt weaker lmao.
They don't disable fast travel, so you can literally just teleport to the last safe room- and until I think Futaba's palace, you can pretty much just stroll right up to the treasure, doing this badass theme dirty.
@Galen Perhaps, but it also kinda kills the whole story beat of "making an infiltration route", whole point being finding a safe route to the treasure.
I had 5 minutes to write like 3 paragraphs for my Spanish class and got it in the last possible second and I don't think I could have done it without this music to keep at peak performance at the last second. Definitely the last time I wait till the last minute again. 😭😭 thank you so much 😭😭
"I am thou, thou art I. Thou art willing to perform all sacreligious acts for thine own justice! Show the strength of thy will to ascertain all on thine own, though thou be chained to Hell itself!"
Alright i went to this game blind and i never played a persona game so i bought persona 5 i had no knowledge of the characters music etc it was all blind so when i went to steal the treasure i was just enjoying the music and it felt so epic to be a phantom thief this song stole my heart
Just made it to the final palace and I'm glad there are points where this song gets more than a minute to play, because I was rather disappointed in the first palace when I walked up to the treasure in all of 30 seconds.
>Waluigi sees a poster >To Waluigi, false god of mario representation, this is a warning to prepare you for the confession of your sins. You have created false hope in those who expected you to be in Smash, and so we will steal your most distorted desires in becoming a meme among the Smash community as revenge. Waluigi: W-wah?! wah! >SECURITY LEVEL 99%!!!! Shadow Waluigi: Wah.... wah wah... Mona: Alright, now we just have to infiltrate his palace! ... Panther: Is that his treasure? What is that? Fox: It appears to be an invitation of sorts... >Joker grabs it, and reads the front. Gives a smirk, and walks off.. > *CUE SMASH ULTIMATE REVEAL OF JOKER*
Its a joke, because in Persona 5, the phantom thieves need to first warn their targets about them stealing their hearts / treasure, in this case, its Waluigi's desire to be in Smash Bros. When the thieves succeed in stealing a treasure, they can then take the item they stole and make it real in reality. So basically: Waluigi is salty he isn't in smash, so he became a meme. He is salty and has a desire of having an invitation. Joker infiltrates his heart, steals the invitation, and changes Waluigi's heart, letting Joker have an invitation.
Absolutely one of the best tracks in the game. Makes everything you do going in feel that much cooler. Hearing this after sending that first calling card immediately made me decide that buying this game was easily worth the money
Hearing this whenever the target knew they were in deep sh*t is like the same feeling of proving an adult wrong when you're a child. that smooth satisfaction. For palaces I don't instantly hop in save rooms, instead I rather enjoy this sound track while trying to manuver around without getting caught I'll let you guess how many times I got caught sound was a banger though, adrenaline rush was the best.
"All right gang remember, it's do or die. Joker, you sure you're ready to send that calling card?" [Let's take his heart!] "Hell yeah! I'm gettin' all pumped up!"
Guys I've found that if you have a uni exam approaching, draw something like "20 days until exam failure", listen to P5 every day while studying, get to the day of your exam and play this while cramming, you will inevitably ace any aforementioned exam.
The moment I got hooked to p5 was during the final part of the first palace with this on loop whilst cruising through to the boss. Felt appropriately epic
Everytime I heard this song I knew it was time to get the treasure and omg it made me feel so pumped. God persona5’s soundtrack is the best. Like all the music in the game fits so well with whatever you’re doing
I haven't even finished the game and whenever I hear this after I send a calling card, I always get fucking excited Like the time has finally come, it's judgement day, and making your way through the palace to get to the dickhead shadow, will always get me pumped up for the finale.
i remember when i was first playing kamoshida’s palace in royal and i heard this song. i had all of the safe rooms set but i literally did not move for a few hot minutes bc i was just in that hyped shock. with a lot of effort put in for that moment to face off against him, haven’t even played any other persona games so i just had no idea as to what is coming up,,, it was such a magical moment for me omg. i was so hyped that i literally went through the entire castle to reach him instead of teleporting to the last safe room just so i could hear this ONE song on repeat. it left such a good mark that it became my favorite song for the overall game.
Just chilling with my friends at a bar, a bum, a cop, a bar girl, a dude pretending to be another dude, some Chinese guy and my secretary from work, listening to this CD I found collecting trash. Respect to you if you get it.
Now I need to rewatch the last 5 mins of every episode of Hustle and play this at the same time. It's just too good as a theme of "oh that? Yeah well you see, here's how it all went down..." These moments in the palaces were never about a "will they won't they?" type scenario. It was a "how will they?" and I always love those.
You can technically just fast travel straight to the safe room near the treasure, but I always chose to run through the entire palace all over again. It felt awesome going through this maximum security palace, slipping past enemies and getting through large puzzle areas with ease since they had already been cleared, all the while this fucking amazing them plays, even if you accidentally get into a battle. Literally perfection
My first time hearing this I was so fucking hyped because it took me a while to get trough Kamoshida's palace (first persona game I've played) Holy crap I will never forget that feeling.
