Rivers in the Desert really hits different when you're fighting a toddler in a fisher price car rather than the guy responsible for all the government corruption
this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WR_AncWskUk.html will always be the ATUS boss music to me they need to bring Metal Saga back for modern consoles
@@KuroJet I have a love-hate thing for akechi. Can't stand him for being a traitor even though it was obvious and he can be an asshole but I can't hate his character either. He can be relatable at times lmao and it's much better that he's not putting on the nice detective façade in the 3rd semester
@@murasakino101 Dead ass facts. I felt the same way about not like Akechi, but in 3rd Semester, I liked him a lot more because he was honest and true to himself. The snark felt a lot better with him just being an asshole instead of hiding it.
I believe we'll see Jose in Persona 6. His color scheme and overall design differs with the one in 5. Especially his shop design which is entirely different in color and aesthetics. It could be a hint towards the design philosophy of 6.
Yeah Like the theme for the next game being white like idk maybe the next protagonist is gonna be from a highly religious one explaining the white but that's my theory.
Gold and silver represents wealth. Gold represents influence and power with the ability to become confident. Silver means affluence and modernism with enlightenment of the mind, self reflection, and inspiration.
Nick Ts. Vincent made a cameo in Persona 3 Portable quite a good bit before Catherine was announced. Perhaps Jose is a character in Project Re:Fantasy or SMTV?
My current theory is that Jose might be working for Philemon, it would most likely explain the yellow eyes, like the velvet room attendants, but instead of wearing blue, he wears white. Just something tells me that Jose, when fully grown, will be as powerful if not more so than Igor, they might've just introduced him in this game, but he might appear in future Persona titles as a new staple character to transfer this system that they have with mementos to future games. So they continue the handmade main dungeons, and have a side dungeon with many many floors. Tl;dr: he's either working for Philemon or he is introduced as a new mechanic for future proofing in the series.
Or he could be a lost velvet room member for Igor maybe, either way he does share traits with the velvet room employees with the yellow eyes, as well as his name not being Japanese, and his ties to mementos.
I don't know if he persists in the 3rd semester, but I thought that it might be Maruki's "Shadow", remember how he had awakened his Persona but had never been to the Metaverse, I think that this caused Jose, a really similar temperament (A child, who researches humans, and make their wishes come true) appear OK NVM he's definitely a Velvet attendant
tbh i dont think igor is that powerful other than his ability to create attendants, stabilise the velvet room, and fuse personas, if i recall correctly he is never referred to as one that rules over power. personally i think jose was a failed attempt at making an attendant and didnt have the power necessary to be one so he was left to roam mementosand his task to understand humanity was given to him by philemon to keep him busy rather than just erasing him.
I mean there isn't many other good ones to choose from other than Jose and they managed to just half ass him by not explaining who he is and he's most likely gone now. Still rivers in the desert was required or this fight would be impossible unless only akechi attacked
Well i dunno how cannon Royal is and i don't want it to be. At least the golden ending in P4G was different than the P4 ending Royal ending is just slightly different with a slight twist which i fucking hate
Here’s my theory for Jose. Jose could be a new Velvet Room attendant in training because see the hair and eyes? They match the previous attendants, Elizabeth Theodore Margret and Lavenza. It made sense for to say this because of the eye and hair color as well as studying human life. But what many say will debunk the theory is he’s wearing white not the dark blue with hints of gold. But remember is in training as in he won’t receive his uniform until he finished his training. But another theory is that Jose could the child of one of the previous attendants but given their role and what they are it’s easily implied that they cannot offspring in any sort of way.
Mrex666 productions well that’s very plausible but at same time I can’t see Jose being an Ai. Sophie came in action after the events of persona 5 and into Scamble and sense Royal takes place in a alternate universe of Persona 5 Sophie didn’t really exist.
Mrex666 productions well I watched Scramble on RU-vid. And I won’t spoil to much of the two games but what I can say is that Royal is not connected to Scramble in any shape. Or form I would explain why but you know spoilers.
@@briayantheomnipotentone3047 I did as well, and there's this dialogue as soon as you reach the finale... Morgana: "...Oh, this is like *half a year ago.* " The month it took place is August.
I think he only refers to them when he states "Other are watching" But I believe Elizabeth is the one he is helping she send him to mementos due to few reasons she didn't want run into p5 group in Q2 she even tells Theodore who sees the twins and wants tell them they are lavenza to don't because it's not there place so it isn't her place be in mementos and another could be she probably couldn't fake Igor could've been pushing her back to not enter so she doesn't interfere or help.
Everyone keeps saying Jose might work for Philemon of Nyrla but here's a theory, what if Maruki created Jose accidentally with his actualization ability as a way to try to understand Humans and Momentos (the collective unconscious)? This would explain why Jose gives Joker the wish granting star just like Maruki created a reality where almost everyone's wish comes true? This also explains why Jose is constantly trying to understand Humans since Maruki also wants to do the same in order to help them. It can also explain how he's able to change Momentous (actualization)
I thought the same thing kinda i forget but at one point they mention something about mementos changing because of maruki and they're like how it's impossible and I was like wait jose must be helping maruki but no jose is just there doing his own thing
I feel like the comment around 15:51 disproves that theory. If Hose were talking about Maruki, he probably would have given some detail to show it, but it seems like he refers to Philemon and Nyarlethotep
@@loganmason5784 why should he give some information? He clearly say that it's not their business. The main theory i think is based on the fact that none can change the mementos, especially for someone who never went in the Metaverse... So, probably if Maruki did what he did could be also thanks to Jose cause he is the only one that have the abilty to change mementos, and by that, he can change the cogniction of the people. If not, there is a big hole in the story since you don't know how Maruki got access to the mass cogniction
I like this one however if maruki really did create him I feel like they would've addressed it in the same game not shroud it in mystery. Maruki story felt finished by the end so it feels weird linking him to another subplot.
They are going to change up the velvet room in 6. The main reason I can think of is because Igors JP voice actor died and they won't recast him. So they have to change up masters. Since they are trying to be sneaky as to who Jose's master is, I think he might be the new "Wildcard" guide and Jose and his type will be the new equivalent of Velvet room attendants.
@Shiva R No. They used old voice lines from previous games.(the jp version did). Not sure about the english version. But anyway, I think there will be a major shift in the velvet room.
My pet theory is that the "friend" whom Jose promised to research humans for is Philemon. They both have a white-and-gold color design, they both seem unafilliated with the Velvet Room attendants or anyone else in the story, when Jose says "there are a lot more folks watching over humanity" that's basically a dead ringer and when he says "No wonder the others just can't leave humans be" I think that's referring to all of the past godlike antagonists from all the previous games.
I think Jose is definitely connected to the Velvet Room and Igor and them, and that someone there created him. Obviously because he's got the yellow eyes and gray hair. But another thing is that he looks very doll-like, as seen with his ears, nose and hair. And I remember reading on a Persona wiki that Igor was once a doll brought to life by Philemon, which is how he came to be. So Jose could be the same. And if that's true he must be newly created since he still looks like that, which is also evident by the fact that he's trying to study humans. So I think someone in the Velvet Room or maybe linked to it created him and gave him this task for some reason. Could be Igor, Philemon, one of the attendants, etc. Perhaps he's a Velvet Room attendant in training or something.
My theory of Jose is that he's a velvet room attendant in training possibly promising to study human nature for Philemon, Elizabeth or Igor. If we go the normal route, it's probably Igor. The twins mentioned that they were surpised MC knew of mementos and that they knew everyone who should know of it. Its plausible to think that mementos has been their training grounds or where they study since its a collection of people's cognition. His hair and eyes hint towards the Velvet room. His curiousity about humans and his vague answers on who he is also matches the other attendants. His insane power is on par of them too.
He may be Elizabeth's Velvet Attendant, and to be able to guide he he needs to be able to understand humans and human emotion, because human bonds and feelings are foreign to Elizabeth and she only really exhibits it when she's around Makoto Yuki, otherwise she's just in her Curious Trolling Mode. Which honestly makes Jose being Makoto Yuki's reincarnation being a plausibility especially when you take in consideration the Jungian Psychology and how he incorporates in it with Makoto Yuki being the Messiah and all, and Jose being the only person in Persona with a name that came from the Bible(that I'm aware of).
I like that in the end, when they all laugh at Mona, except Crow standing there being like "I'm surrounded by fucking morons." THAT I say was the cutest thing out of this whole thing.
Futaba single-handedly won this fight for me. Ultimate Support when everyone was wounded and confused, then Final Guard... I was probably underleveled (Hard difficulty too) 'cause one more of his super move and I would've bitten the dust.
Oh wow, the playthrough I watched didn't have this. Interesting battle and dialogue. Good questions after from Ann & Morgana. And fun banter at the end. Thanks for this!
While yes Rivers in the Desert works well for this fight, I think giving him his own fight theme would work a bit better. I mean yeah, most secret bosses don't have custom music. The Reaper uses Last Surprise, the twins and Lavenza use Rivers in the Desert, but Jose is different from those bosses. The Reaper is menacing and appears in Mementos where almost every shadow has Last Surprise (plus he's the only boss that I know of that you can ambush or get ambushed by) and the twins + Lavenza are supposed to be powerful residents of the velvet room (plus they're real fucking intimidating in their fights). Jose is a smol boi who's trying to vent and is doing his all. I think a mix between menacing and childish music would have worked. Though if you agree with Rivers in the Desert, I won't blame you, that song slaps. Just wanted to give my opinion.
To beat this little muffin easily just buy a shitload of Magic Ointment and make sure everyone has them on at all times or get Haru's third persona and use Life Wall every turn
Jose is a strange one and im seriously wondering how he fits into things in the series. I dont think he will be exclusive to P5 for sure, what happened in this generation of games with him will definitely have an impact somewhere else. Part of me wants to think that the "certain person" is in fact Elizabeth and he is in some way helping her find a method to stop Nyx and thereby release door-kun. Dont think that is actually the case considering the dialogue, he is more likely working for Philemon in some capacity but still.
I think it's her too he said he was doing research on people and that he wanted investigate memento and understand people best he could.Elizabeth not able be there makes sense as well because fake Igor kept real Igor out of the velvet room tore apart lavenza as well so Elizabeth probably couldn't get close due to she knew she die or worse.
Anybody else recognizes Jose voice actress cause I do to those who don’t know I’ll give you a hint she voiced a character in a Nickelodeon show that aired from 1996 to 2004
I really don't get why people spend way too many turns on supporting skills, not attack, 2 turns later you have to heal the whole party then use the supporting skills all over again. Feels stupid to watch
Why do I have the feeling that he'll be in Persona 6 as an attendant of the Velvet Room? And that the concept of 6 would be learning about Humanity and their ways of the world?
There are more folks observing humankind than you might realise -I gotcha. -Who do you mean? I feel like the first answer comes especially from the player who already knows that pretty well with all the other persona games
Wtf, his first opening attack did so much damage that it put Makoto at one shot. Jesus Christ this kid ain't playing around. What do you get for beating him?
Out of all the boss fights in P5, one with a smol egg boy in a toy car definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. Then again, it’s better than literal Hitler.
I came to this video, after learning that you can fight Jose, in a boss battle. But the thing that caught my attention the most was the name of the team being 'Thot Busters'. Not gonna lie, I lost it for a moment there because of that name alone.
You know how Caroline and Justine are both half of Lavenza? I'm thinking that Jose and Morgana might be two halves of a whole as well. -Morgana was created by the Velvet Room, and Jose is implied to have connections to them as well. -Their voices are very similar. -They have similar goals: becoming vs. understanding humans. -And most important, they both notably find Ann to be beautiful.
