I wonder if the Library books that become avilable are because Ren spots books specificly about the Personas his friends awakened and becomes interested in reading those specificly, so now that Yusuke awoke Goemon, Ren finds a book about Goemon at the Library that he wouldn't care about otherwise but is now curious to learn more about, at the very least it's a headcannon of mine
Note that I planned the series out before the new ports were announced, so I always planned to cover the vanilla and Royal DLC separately. So no OP Izanagi-no-Okami here. There's a Royal DLC Persona who only makes sense to talk about in the 3rd Semester, so I'll have to think when I cover those. Also, the Picaro Personas have no official art, so I had to do my best and crop in-game screenshots. Hope they don't look too awkward.

I’ve actually got a ton of trivia on the DLC personas from the Arena games, so this is gonna be a long one. Kaguya: So Shining Arrows is based on Marie’s Awakening Skill, which is a very good mixup tool, especially since you can control which side of the screen they come from with the C and Skill Boost versions. I’m also pretty sure her trait and Repel Phys are referencing Shell of Denial, another one of Marie’s supers that’s invulnerable on startup. Izanagi: Cross Slash is another super, this time one of Narukami’s. Not a ton to say about this one, but you can combo after it if the opponent lands behind Narukami and those are very fun to watch. Ariadne: Labrys has a mechanic called Axe Level, which gives her a damage boost as long as she keeps attacking, but if she’s not, it lowers her damage. It’s actually a big reason she’s not good, but Fortified Moxy and Heat Up are pretty good representation, as well as Charge since her damage is stupid if you can keep the momentum up. Beast Weaver is one of her supers and the stronger versions completely drain her axe level after use. Don’t know what Tag Team is referring to, though. Magatsu-Izanagi: So I actually have a lot to talk about here, since basically everything in his moveset is a reference to his user’s Arena appearance. Maziodyne is a reference to his 5D and j.D, Megidola is a very scary command grab, Ghastly Wail is another command grab that does massive damage with Fear (and with this character, that’s not hard) and Heat Riser is a nice buff if you combo into it. However, Magatsu Mandala is the real interesting one. When it’s used, you get a buff that makes almost all of your attacks apply ailments. D normals and Megidola inflict Shock (aka no moving), C normals Poison and most also give Fear, Heat Riser apply Fear (everything is a Fatal Counter and you can’t break throws) and Poison, Atom Smasher gets Fear and Panic (reversed controls), Ghastly Wail inflicts Fear, Silence (no Persona), and always gets bonus damage even if the opponent doesn’t have Fear, and Magatsu Mandala itself inflicts Panic and Silence. Tsukiyomi: So Abyssal Wings isn’t all that interesting a reference, though Minazuki does get wallbounce combos off of Wings of Purgatory, as it was called. Myriad Slashes is almost certainly a reference to either Sho’s rekka or Blazing Moon Barrage, Vorpal Blade is probably there for Moon Smasher, and the Drain skills are there for Minazuki’s command grab. One version steals HP, the other steals SP. Bolstering Force probably isn’t a reference, though. Asterius: Titanomachia’s association with Fire in this game is due to the animation of this move having a finisher referred to as “Hellflames”, and Asterius uses a lot of Fire attacks in general. Terra’s Eruption is a huge anti-air projectile, and Flame of Hades is a good combo tool for Shadow Labrys. Gigantomachia could be referencing Brutal Impact, but I choose to believe it’s a reference to the super colloquially called “TV Punch” Thanatos: So Mamudoon actually works very differently. It does still have instant death, but it’s more like a trap where you set it up and then combo your opponent for long enough that they die when it triggers. It’s definitely the worse instakill because Mahamaon has a bigger AoE and hits grounded opponents as opposed to only airborne ones. Still mad that in the new version of Ultimax, they don’t instakill unless there’s 10 seconds or less in the round. Iron Heart might be a reference to Elizabeth’s Invigorate, and Door of Hades could be either Ghastly Wail or Megidolaon.
Thanks for all that. I feel like Thanatos' skillset here is more based off P3 though, but I didn't realize Izanagi's Cross Slash comes from Arena. If I ever cover the Arena games I'd like to ask for input from people who know the game like you, because I'd like to at least talk about how the characters play theoretically. According to another comment, Labrys is in Cross Tag Battle, so maybe that's where Tag Team comes from. Marie's Shell of Denial comes from P4G itself, didn't realize she carried it into Arena.
I didn't know ANYTHING about the stat doubling glitch until you mentioned it. I can't believe I didn't notice after playing both versions of P5 all the way through.
It's not displayed in-game, but it explains why a certain party member's +10 all stats gun is so broken. I only found out about it while browsing subreddits and blogs to research this game.
Back when I first got Vanilla P5, Kaguya was the only DLC Persona I bought and boy howdy did I win the lottery on that. Out of all the DLC Personas to buy, I picked THE most busted of them all. Suffice to say once I realized how powerful Kaguya was, she NEVER left my Persona stock ever. I somehow (I can't remember how exactly) managed to get Bless Amp and Spell Master on her and the rest of the game was piss easy. 23:22. Aka. Gary Stu 32:06. I mean technically it's not Pay to Win because he's free in Royal. Doesn't make it any less busted. 37:11. I can totally picture Thanatos Picaro with his punk rock look telling Nyx "It's not a Phase Mom!". In fact, all the Picaro Personas look like they're going through that teen emo/goth phase. 42:05. Cutting to Joker getting out of the bath makes me think he spent the entire time in there in deep thought about those DLC Personas he keeps seeing in the Compendium

Also reflection is broken in P5 if speedruns are an indicator, so she's broken in so many ways. 37:11 Yeah they all do but honestly I consider Thanatos one of the cooler ones. Along with Messiah. Kaguya Picaro is probably my least favourite, it's just her in a Shujin uniform. 42:05 That works. Mainly I did it because I wasn't commentating on going to the bathhouse and sitting through the bath animation so I thought it best to cut that.
Yep, I realized that too but... well, that's a long way off. (The build you can run on Faith's ultimate is hilarious though and I can't believe I only found out about it while doing research for this playthrough. You basically make it so Joker heals 80-100% max HP per turn.)
Tsukuyomi appears in the Persona 2 Duology, ( I knew I wasn't going insane. I had a feeling I saw him somewhere before.) One of the best Personas from the Moon Arcana, (No surprise there.)
Thanatos's door of hades skill is also affected by alices trait just die meaning i doesnt cost sp to use. that doesnt realy help because you could just use victory cry, i just thought it deserved a mention.
Here I spotted a certain unique student in the background of the Yusuke station scene. Next time I play through P5R I REALLLLY need to remember to always check the background in station scenes. If Thantaos is the worst of the dlc Personas I can feel less bad for it being the first dlc Persona I had to use. But boy broken doesn't even begin to describe the Royal dlc Personas... I was just wondering, if Ryuji wouldn't bleach his hair and button his uniform would we or even Joker recognize him at first (though I guess that's something we won't see)?
OH. I had to go back into the video but that's very subtle and not who I was expecting. Thanatos is cool though, and Door of Hades is great in combination with some other Traits.

But what would really be wild if there was one or two in-person cameos from characters not from P5 but other Personas like Naoto, Dojima or Rise. Of course doubt it to be but who knows, I haven't seen all the station scenes and scanned the background for cameos.
Fun fact about the 24th. If you send the Calling Card on the 23rd, the chat starting at 43:53 is altered to reflect how the group already has plans on the 24th and Ryuji's therapy scene is moved to the following day. It is interesting because certain things get their dates moved and not others depending on your actions, but typically it's not by much and the things that don't move are very much understandable for why they don't. For example, you can't send the Calling Card on the 29th due to the 30th's event. Yes it wouldn't take your timeslot but hey, cleaning up is going to be hard work and you can't change the school's mind to move the event back a day! (49:36 edit - What was basically typed...that's what happens when I type before totally finishing the video.) Other note - I wish the therapy sessions had voice acting. I can somewhat get why, but it's...well as Ryuji says, "this is pretty awkward". Due to them being starter Persona, I kind of wish Izanagi and Orpheus were designed around being at lowest level 5 to reflect it with the Picaros being higher leveled by a decent amount to reflect hero's journey. Then again seeing how busted Kaguya is, they likely would've messed this up horribly. 18:16 - Looking at...everything, all I have to say is. Wow, you know it's bad when I can't tell if it's busted just due to its level OR BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING ELSE. Repel Physical for 3 times the damage at level 22, AND 4-8 TIME MULTI-HIT BLESS AND MEDIRAMA AT LEVEL 16, almost instantly gets that boosted, and then, because a 50% boost on moderately healing all isn't enough, it gets the full heal move at level 21. You know the earliest anything else gets that which isn't DLC? LEVEL 43. I know DLC needs an incentive to be bought but good god. 23:29 - ...what. AND it gets Endure, because you cheating death 4 times wasn't enough. 25:47 - Wow, a DLC Persona that doesn't come off as stupidly broken. Even Izanagi has God Maker but the exclusive attack has a notable downside, the trait requires you to sacrifice a Baton Pass for item usage, the skills all seem reasonable. All it'd need is being 5-10 levels higher to start and it'd be totally balanced. Of course it's for Labrys' Persona who I keep forgetting. (I say this as the trait in the video is described as busted, maybe there's some items that are not clicking to me as busted, though I can see the connection such as Bufu on an ice weak Shadow, pass to Joker to use the Cocktail on a fire weak Shadow, then pass to another for Baton Pass x2 at no cost to Joker). 31:25 - Nope, but was added in Q2. 38:59 - "Huh, I wonder what that means, surely..." * proceeds to read their skillset and come to the realization of [redacted] and how disgusting that is * "...at least it's late game?" 41:00 - At this point I'm wondering why the Picaro versions seem to be consistently WORSE than the originals. What, did they design the Picaro movesets first for the originals, decide to make two sets, then for some reason put the earlier and worse movesets onto the Picaro version instead of vice versa?
I still find it weird that the cleanup event can't be moved, but a MUCH more major Royal-added event in October will actually shift forward a day if you send the Calling Card on the 2nd. I guess since this is a school event, it doesn't make sense for it to move to accommodate what one student does. 38:59 You can do a more minor version of that with the ultimate Hermit trait. 41:00 Apart from Ariadne and Izanagi, they're mostly worse.

My actual favourite was one that cemented how much I don’t want to hit the bottle. 30:19 It’s honestly a pretty decent accessory to give to Ryuji given that he can get surprisingly SP hungry. 40:32 I’m honestly a little bit disappointed that Messiah Picaro doesn’t have its Curse and Bless affinities swapped to fit with the colour scheme. A small warning for Xenoblade 3: Don’t look at unobtained Heroes in the “Heroes” section of the game’s “System” menu (the part that shows their model as well as VA) as that features the same issue that Xenoblade 2’s Blade menu had with unobtained Blades by still showing silhouettes. The same is also true for unobtained classes in the classes menu to a lesser extent due to it using Chibi art of the related character.
3:53 The Bottle level (it's kind of a spoiler to say whose mind it is) was decent and good from a story standpoint (and its boss fight is amazing), but it had a lot of frustrating parts that prevented it from being one of my favourites. It also took me forever to find its last few Figments. (I scoured the actual bottle parts over and over, only to find they were on islands or on top of palm trees in the opening "Wind Waker segment") I'd say my favourite is [Redacted]'s Collection, and it should be obvious why as I'm a Persona fan. Cookoff is also up there. 40:32 That would've fit, but I think the only Picaro to change affinities is Izanagi going from resisting to nulling Elec. Huh, so they do that. If it shows the VA that could be problematic, but honestly I actually thought looking at the silhouettes in Xenoblade 2 enhanced my experience, since it hinted that certain people would join, which got me very hyped to find out how and why. I'm of the opinion "knowing a spoiler turns surprise into suspense, which doesn't ruin the experience, it only changes it." For example, I've seen someone in a cutscene who I know is going to be a Hero later thanks to the website having an accidental spoiler, but I have no idea when, how or why that happens.

When it came to the DLC Personas I used them once and only once I got the same level as them to have some kind of balance in place. even then I remember only really using Thanatos because besides Chernobog it was my go to Persona in FES since I was an edgy teenager and thought "oh a God of Death who uses a sword, that is so me!" I still feel like Chernobog would be my starting Persona if I was in the series but it be the Moon Arcana version from P3 and if it evolved it would become the Ultimate Moon Persona which I won't name for spoiler reasons but I think it makes sense given Chernobog is a Dark God while the Ultimate Moon Persona is known for being a Dark Angel

I really like how the unique skills for the DLC Personas are references to unique moves in Arena, to the point of Xander Mobus imitating the way their original wielders say the names. Also, when you max out the level of a DLC Persona, Joker has a unique line per Persona. Orpheus doesn't have a specific Arena reference, but, their trait... Well, it should be obvious what that's referencing.
Wait, Xander has lines for maxing out their level? Is that when summoning them or somewhere else? I'll need to look into that as it sounds interesting.

From what I've gathered on social media, apparently the whole "dressing fine for Minions 2" is part of the bigger "Clown on Morbius" joke that happened earlier. You know, when the internet fooled Sony into giving Morbius a second theatre run which bombed at less than $100K in ticket sales? Take this with...several shakers worth of salt, I could be talking out my own ass here, but that's the vibe I've gathered from Twitter posts.
I'm still weirdly curious to see Morbius just to see if it's really as "so bad it's good" as people say. That entire last scene sounds hilarious though. "Not sure how I got here, has to do with Spider Man I think." That's definitely the new "this is Katana, she's got my back." The whole meme culture around it was still pretty strange though, especially posting the entire movie on Discords. I still can't believe Sony actually expected to make money off its ironic fandom with a second run. That's the thing with the internet: people will meme on a movie, but don't expect them to actually WATCH it.
I love the DLC personas it’s like holding infinite power in my hands, if you didn’t know Joker himself actually has unique voice lines for each persona and when they level up which is cool.
I just found out when another comment linked me to it. I personally prefer not to use them for a main playthrough, but in NG+ or if I just want to breeze though things, they're fun.

Funny thing, Nanako in a scene in Persona 4 does mention having a friend called Miwa, although it’s likely a massive coincidence since that involves her moving from Inaba and it’s not like Uehara which is a somewhat uncommon surname and was a semi major character whom the creators would likely remember, which would make it an intentional reference, but fact that Miwa is implied to be young and anybody who was Nanako’s age would only be 11 by Persona 5 makes it slightly possible. I tend to much prefer actually fusing the DLC Personas if I’m going to use rather than just summoning them for free, typically just using the free one to itemise them. Since they will just start with their base skillset and no gained levels, which fusing them with inherited skills and able to get Arcana Burst is able to do With Kaguya if you couldn’t fuse the Personas below their level, hence you couldn’t get ones like Messiah before the 80’s I feel that Kaguya would still be quite a bit more broken than others, because she’s Level 16 and hence would be fighting way weaker enemies with a severe tier skill. When it comes to the skills on the higher level DLC Personas I find that their massive SP makes their skills incredibly impractical I remember using Izanagi Picaro against the next palace boss in my second play-through of the original Persona 5, and something I noticed is that in that version the boss can’t hurt him. I feel that Orpheus does suffer from him following his Persona 3 affinities somewhat closely does really hurt him, since he has two weaknesses and only resists Bless, which was added in this game when everybody else only has 1 weakness and better resistances, and since they were willing to mess around with their affinities a bit, like giving a Resistance to Gun to Magatsu Izanagi and gave him a weakness. When I first saw the games DLC Persona list I was wondering who the Arena original Personas were, since I had completely Magatsu Izanagi Picaro has more syllables than my full name Ring of Darkness did Null Dark in Persona 3, and talking about the item I found out in Persona 3 Portable that if a party member who is immune to instant death takes an instant death skill from the Protagonist they still take the skill and are reduced to 1 HP, since I had a Radiant Halo using Koromaru take a Light skill Q DlC was Orpheus Telos, Kaguya, Thanatos and Magatsu Izanagi, so the Arena Personas weren’t in that albeit they were DLC in Q2. I find it somewhat annoying that the only way to get severe tier Dark damage is through an exclusive skill that wasn’t free in the original game. So with Thanatos being iconic to Persona 3, something interesting is that it’s one of the few cases, if you count it as just a regular Persona rather than an Ultimate like how Messiah is considered is that it would be one of the few cases in a modern Persona game of a design for a regular Persona who uses a design original to Persona . Rather than an SMT original design so Personas like Shiva and Loki don’t use their Persona 1 designs. Theirs only other case I can think off, and that’s because it’s a Persona in a modem Persona whose only appearance outside of being the highest level Judgement Persona in Persona 1 is in Devil Children/Demi Kids, of which I think the only design for a Demon commonly used outside of it is King Frosts, since the wiki has the design we know of in the modern Persona games being listed under that series, hence this Persona only had that design to use. Something I like doing with normal versions of DLC Personas that have skills I want that the Picaro version doesn’t have is using Treasure Demons to fuse them from their original version.
I feel like it's probably not the same Miwa, but I'd need to see the kanji to be sure. Thanatos and Messiah in general suffer from P3's "Early Installment Weirdness". They're both treated as the MC's evolved Personas, but both are just normal fusions, albeit ones from plot Social Links you're guaranteed to max. The really awkward part is that I think you can miss Thanatos by not doing Elizabeth's request that unlocks Nata Taishi, since without Nata you can't fuse Alice, without Alice you can't fuse Thanatos, and without Thanatos you can't fuse Messiah.

Let's hope that the School Cleanup Event doesn't turn out the same way as another School Cleanup Event we all know about. If I played Persona 5 Royal, I would use Tsukyomi Picaro as my Partner Persona.
As someone who regularly plays P4AU (Fun game btw) Tsukiyomi getting Life Drain and the Picaro version getting Spirit Drain is a direct reference to Minazuki since they're different variants of his command grab. This is also where Cross Slash (Yu's Awakening Super that is usable by both versions) Magatsu Mandala (One of Adachi's MANY Awakening Supers) and Shining Arrows (Marie's Awakening Super) come from to name a few.
It's cool to see all the Arena references in these movesets, I love when something from an action battle system gets translated to a turn-based RPG or vice-versa.

Although I see him being best as a random encounter killer, this skill seems like they can generally stay live for almost any fight. 30:35- Also his Picaro version looks less like a recolor and more like a new model; Granted it's probably the same model and the posing makes it look a lot different with the new color, but he wins the coolest recolor thus far. 31:12- Oh, didn't realize this guy was in the series this early on. That's cool. 32:49- I recant my statement at 30:35 since Tsukoiyomi has the most unique looking Picaro form. 33:23- Wait the minotaur actually has a name? That's interesting to know. 33:32- Agreed, amazing design, though I'm not sure if it tops IV's Minotaur design. 34:40- That's a really bizarre upgrade since when do we see random moves suddenly become entirely new ones that are also a signature move? 35:17- Also missed opportunity to use Battle B2 from SMTIV for Asterius's bios. 35:26- He is in mainline SMT on rare occasions like SJR, but with a VERY different (and quite ugly) design. 36:37- Wait hold on this is just Death Flies! *Que Beelzebub readying his copyright lawyers against Thanatos.* 37:54- Yeah Demonic Decree is reminding me a lot of the Holy Wrath-type of skills in Nocturne that only half enemy HP, which is nowhere near as good as the stronger instant kill spells like Hama and Mudo, its counterpart hell gaze (which drops a foe to 1HP and its upgraded version is just another type of Mudo), and is especially outclassed by Death Flies (which still damages foes it can't instant kill) and White Rider's God's Bow that's a 100% instant kill against anything that doesn't null instant death. Yeah these types of skills are not good in SMT. If this was Ogre Battle 64 or the Digimon Cyber Sleuth games this would be a VERY different story, but here, it kind of sucks a lot. 42:01- Admittedly, I might use some of them during my run, but only the weaker ones who aren't a free win button, though I'm not sure yet. 44:07- As seen in your RD and Tear Ring playthroughs. Live A live Spoiler Warning... *Last time on Jared Playing Live A Live... Pain. That's how we'll be summarizes last time, so now...* Unfortunately, not too much progress as it's mainly been grinding, but I did make some good discoveries. Most notable, the hidden field of healing grass balms infinitely resupply, so that partially solves my healing item crisis. I only say partially since I only have maybe 12 total AoE healing items and maybe only 5 Joshua Tree Seeds, which are your best source of revival items. But one issue being resolved at a time. Speaking of which, I also decided to finally find Oboromaru and recruited Masaru, temporarily benching Pogo and Akira for now since after the first bit of grinding, my team became very high level and Akira's a bit over leveled at 19. I then got Marasu caught up really quickly. I think he might be more of an Est/Magikarp character than Yun, though differences himself being a lot more focused on attack (already capped at 99 around level 15-16) and having a crap ton of HP (he has 777 HP right now. Pogo only has like 652 and for my current team, Oboromaru has only like 435ish). If I keep my team as is, he'll help a ton as a desperately needed team tank. At least the grinding is going well experience wi- *Ishtar appears* What the hell is that enemy and why does it have 1,600 HP?!?! That was a nasty surprise and its full field hitting move nearly ended the fight, but two panic Cola Bottle uses later and it was dead thankfully. I think I'm almost ready for all the dungeons, but there's one problem... Cube. So I already know where Cube is, but I hardly have as many robotic enhancements as I want. Despite my entire session being mostly grinding, I've only gotten like five of them and I think I'll need many more for Cube before I begin to use them. So if my progress will seem stifled for the next few sessions, blame bad RNG with getting Robotic Enhancements. When this grinding gets done, I think I'll either do Sundown's first to get his ultimate weapon first or Masaru's since I know he's needed to do all of Pogo's. Also I'm going to be researching Akira's since I know how to get there, but I heard it was one time once you clear it, so I'm going to make sure I don't miss any items. End.
I am not sure of the exact amount of money but it is a decent amount so saving the money is wise. That quote does feel like that. Matador giving Oyamada the Nocturne experience. Wasn't that meme supposed to be ironically funny? That was the vibe I got. Anyways, Kaguya. I fused a really strong one in my playthrough and she became my best magic attacker. I either started using her on the Will Seed Guardian or the next boss. I do vividly remember using her against the next boss and you can probably guess what happened. Wasn't expecting Klingy to talk about that either. Izanagi Picaro does look really cool. I made use out of his Cross Slash a good amount in my playthrough, in the next dungeon. That trait is one way to counter that dark weakness huh. I didn't make use of the Tag Team trait but it does sound extremely good since SP becomes a complete non issue if you can use a Soma for free. Hollow Jester does sound like a fun strategy to make use of if a boss can be inflicted with a status. From what I remember, it is the same model for Magatsu Izanagi Picaro. That Picaro form reminds me of Halloween a lot. I think it is the same deal with the models for Tsukiyomi Picaro too. I think I prefer the SMT4 design too but this design is still epic. It is a good upgrade since severe fire damage at that point is really good. It really is like Death Flies. Door of Hades does sound like a fun skill to build around. Demonic Decree is very underwhelming but it does have one use later. I mean I used some of them and I still had a good time. I would avoid them if you want to try and challenge yourself. Can we also point out the date when the school cleanup event happens. Tweedle Three La will feel my wrath really soon. I am interested to hear about that mystery project. Anyways, my brother finished God of War PS4 so it was time for him to start playing Xenoblade 3. He played a good amount today and we had so much fun seeing things playing out and discussing about it too. Time to discuss Live A Live some more... Those healing herbs are really nice. I think the best way to heal is the Medicine Box from the Ninja Chapter which is prize for keeping the women alive. I remember using it a lot for the tougher bosses. Masaru used to be considered kind of bad in the original, probably because of his level 16 skill, but if he has been buffed he might be a fun physical tank to use which is really rare in this game. Most people like myself use the Cola bottle against the Ishtar because of how scary it is. I know in the original, it evaporates like the bosses do when it dies. They do give a good amount of experience for killing them. About the robot enhancements, was I right that they are dropped by the green spider robots if you manage to kill them without breaking them down. If I wasn't, I may look into how to find them more easily for you. I do hope you have found a reliable way to kill those green spiders too. Akira's dungeon is one time so do make sure you do everything there before leaving. Good luck with the dungeons and once you complete one, I will give you another tip that I only found out in my second playthrough.

Not sure how that confidant goes and if there's any resolution about that prick who got her fired, so Matador, despite having the best of intentions, will sadly just get lost for the sewers and will have to settle giving any shirtless people like Demi the Nocturne experience down there before returning to Ren. Xp Yeah the meme was supposed to be more ironic and watch it just for the memes, but the sheer mass of people who did it and just how big that meme got is why I'll never understand it. Kaguya is disgustingly broken and I can imagine most of the bosses like the next one just got obliterated because of her. It might require some extra steps since it requires a baton pass, but it's absolutely worth having that trait to get practically infinite healing and SP restoration. If we're allowed to get statuses on bosses, Hollow Jester seems worth it even with single fights. They're both great designs, but I think IV's barely wins over this design in P5R since IV's take on the minotaur is quite unique. Curious to see what Demon's Decree one use is for later. Crack that egg of a principle. lol Yeah sorry for keeping it hidden for so long and delaying it, but I did get burned out from grinding to address the latter and for the former, there's a very specific reason why I haven't mention it yet. A very dumb reason, but knowing my luck it makes sense to withhold that info (and I'll be sure to explain that reason when the time comes for as well). Nice to hear he finished up God of War 4 and I hope you guys will enjoy XC3. Once Live A Live is done, I'll be heading back to XC3 ASAP since I've barely played the game. Live A Live Spoilers... Oh right the Medicine Box. I should probably be using that more as an item rather than gear (though I'll really need to find Oboromaru a really good special boosting accessory since he'll lose 28 special attack if I take it off. Yun already calls dibs on the Rock of Rocks for now, so that's out unless I take him out for a bit). At the very least, he's a MASSIVE HP sponge. He's currently level 20 (not my intent to raise him that high; He just grew that quickly combined with all the robot enchantment part farming) and has 903 HP, which is absurd. I do find his damage output a bit mixed, but apparently a lot of his moves scale off of different things, so that could explain his wonky damage output sometimes. He at least got buffed with his healing skill now recovering like 85-95ish HP instead of the 40ish before. And I think his ultimate got improved a bit, but I'd have to see/know its older damage numbers for a decent comparison. That they do since it gave everyone, including the probably overleveled 19s, a level up. Very nice to have the Cola bottles for random boss encounters, especially since I just found the evil ship that has around 2K HP not too long ago after I began writing this, which the bottle also destroyed. From what I've seen and read online, they made the parts able to drop anytime randomly so you don't have to kill every enemy, but honestly I wished we had that old system since it makes grinding for robot enhancements to Cube much harder to do. I can at least kill the spiders fine with Sundown's multi hits if he hits at least two times. Speaking of Sundown, do his multi-hits usually miss a decent chunk of their shots? Only because when using hurricane, I've noticed it misses a fair number of shots (most amount of times I've seen it hit so far is 8 out of the 12). If I'm going to rely on these moves for more serious fights, I'll need to rely on setting up buffs first to reduce the accuracy issues (wished there were more accessories that buffed accuracy). I read up on that fact thanks to the guide. That said, I'm probably going to go online and see if I can find a map of his dungeon since it's kind of awkward reading the guide's instruction on how to navigate through it. I'll look forward to the tip. Next time, I think I'll at least do Masaru's dungeon because how unexpectedly high level he became and how weird it sounds with how the guide described it. End.

SMT4's Minotaur has that really cool looking head that blends together with the skull face so well. I will mention if it pops up. I do hope that at least something good will happen on that day. I will be waiting with eager anticipation. Xenoblade 3 is proving really good so far and I can only imagine how good it will be later. Time to talk about Live A Live... I don't know how many people agree with me but I do think that the Medicine Box is extremely good and maybe necessary for some of the tougher fights. I think I really disliked how long to charge that level 16 technique for Masaru was. At least, he can tank well and he does some decent attacks like the attack the debuffs for example. Funny you mention that evil ship because for some reason, I never think to use the Cola Bottle against it so I kill it the hard way thanks to Sundown. That is one change I am not the biggest fan of but at least you can somewhat avoid Hell Fragrance hell thanks to Sundown. Increasing the level with buffs will help the accuracy and is the best method but apparently, from a little bit of research I did of the original, hitting an enemy in the back or the side will increase your damage and accuracy. Of course, if the attack has a charge time, that becomes a lot harder but for instant attacks, it could be worth a try. Hopefully there are some good maps out there. That is a strange dungeon but I know you can overcome it with not too much difficulty.

irrc all the dlc personas (including the ones from royal) are free with the switch, xbox and PC releases later this year. im definitely gonna get kaguya, not to use, but to itemize into the moonlight robe bc of how good that armor is, especially on ann with how squishy she is. i may also get orpheus, mostly as a last resort thanks to a certain boss fight that i will NOT talk about until much later :')
Yeah when I made these bios I didn't know the Royal ones were going to end up free in the other ports, but these ones are free in the PS4 version too so I wanted to cover them separately.
I never really understood the point of the Picaro Personas, personally. I get that they're designed to mach Arsene's color scheme to imply that that's how they would look if Joker has awakened to them instead of their original wielders, but they don't really serve a purpose in-game. Maybe the original plan was to only use the redesigns until someone pointed out that people would be more interested in the original versions? So they just added both? I don't really have any evidence to back that up, though.
I think they're just there so you get more for your money, making it feel more justified. Or as an excuse for the artists to go ham with P5-themed redesigns on old Personas.

idk if this is a case of synesthesia but whenever I feel pain I always hear a sound and it's different depending on what it is like with a cut I hear like slashing sounds, a broken bone I hear cracking noises, or even nonphysical pain like say heartbreak I hear what sounds like glass starting crack and shatter, my parents said when I was a baby whenever I was in pain I would always cover my ears I guess since the noises I heard upset me more then the actual pain I was in.
I also feel the pain of injuries that happen to others whether it's in real life, movies, or video games especially games where you create your own character. I never noticed until my friend Yin pointed it out when I was playing Awakening and I always let out a sharp exhale and wheeze every time my avatar was hit with a crit

You know, I was planning to write a comment on my thoughts on each DLC Persona, but I eventually decided against it because it was dragging far too long, going into too many tangents, and I was diving into far too many spoilers for past games, such as blatantly name-dropping the owner of Magatsu-Izanagi among other stuff, so I decided against it, so guess I'm running kind of empty. Now one thing I'd like to ask, since Thanatos Picaro can be a source of the Maeigaon Skill Card: I have been trying to find a good place to find that Card for an Arsene build, but I have struggled heavily finding it, and I don't wanna have to rely on DLC for it if I can help it. Does anyone here know anywhere else where you can get a skill card for Maeigaon? Figured I might as well ask.
A lot of sources online only list one source for each card, including the DLC ones. To my knowledge the Justice and Caroline events (we'll see those later) give skill cards, and I think that's how you get Debilitate's card without DLC. There might be an enemy you can negotiate Maeigaon out of, too. I feel like "fusing down" is probably an easier way to pass that onto Arsene though.
@@BigKlingy I did read that you can get a Maeigaon Skill Card out of negotiating with Mara of all things, but given the point you get to do that and the chance for enemies to drop Skill Cards is really low it's less than desirable. Plus for all I know that might be info for vanilla P5 and not Royal. And fusing down into him implies fusing him away first, which just for novelty factor I'm trying to avoid. I guess an option would be to use one of the later features and hope it causes him to gain the ability from another Persona, which I think because of the inheritance type has a higher chance to happen. Welp, I guess if it comes down to it I'll just use Thanatos Picaro, I guess using a DLC purely to get a Skill Card out of them isn't too intrusive.
Speaking of skill card negotiation, one I find is a real pain is Taunt. It's ONLY available through negotiation from Koppa Tengu. No Persona itemizes into it, and yet it's something I'd really, really want on any Psy-based attacker. (Since not only does Rage trigger Technical from Psy, it also drastically drops the enemy's defense)
I wished persona 1(Nyaono) and 2 protagonist(tatsuya and maya) personas. I would think Apollo would his nova kraiser that would be 2 heavy magic one be fire, one nuclear, while Artemis as her signature which would severe ice attack that mostly freeze enemies.
@@BigKlingy yeah i always annoyed that persona 1 and 2 are kinda left in the dust by atlus, especially with no port, seriously people would play them more if they were ported(also it would reduced pirating).
When I planned this I was always going to do the vanilla DLC Personas first and cover Royal's later, because I didn't know there'd be a new port where they'd ALL be free. And one of the Royal DLC Personas only makes sense to talk about in the 3rd Semester.
The museum aesthetic is definitely on the more unique side. There’s a few games I remember having “dungeons” that start off as museums, but that usually doesn’t last long (Normally, the “true” dungeon is always some hidden place beneath the museum or whatever). While this arc does have a lot of good points, it does have some parts that don’t really work for me. The pacing, for example, always felt wonky and the events that lead to opening the hidden door in the shack also come off as a bit awkward. Another really weird detail is how the Phantom Thieves meet Nakanohara in person for some reason… That one feels like such an oversight in the plot. This game has so many historical and mythological references I feel like I have to mention the Fate interpretation basically every comment. Nevertheless, Hokusai has actually gotten a decent about of attention in Fate. He (and his daughter, Oei. They come as a pair) is one of the earlier examples of the hilariously named “foreigner" class (As in “foreign to our world / universe”. Basically, its a class for Lovecraftian beings and other weird universe Nasuverse stuff). Its very clear they took inspiration from the “dream of the fisherman’s wife” he made and formed a story about how Cthulhu tried to take over his mind, but Hokusai was already too obsessed with art to succumb, so he instead got turned into a small flying octopus instead (Who can, as expected of Japan, temporarily possess his daughter’s body if he so wishes). Honestly, like I mentioned in my previous comment, I don’t really think “operation nudity” is the worst, but it does come at a really unfortunate time. If it had happened like 2 or 3 palaces later after the Kamoshida arc, I don’t think most would have mind, but the fact that it happens right after is a bit of an oops. I personally don’t really mind, but I can see why some wouldn’t be so comfortable with it. The DLC personas are all really cool. Pity they’re so ridiculously broken, though. Makes them hard to use for regular content unless you want to completely break the game. Anyways, for the topic this time around, Kiseki: So yeah, a long trailer for Kuro II came out and man… Falcom is really good at creating trailers, but the spoilers are horrific. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend watching it unless you want to have a lot of things “spoiled” (Seriously, though, this is top 3 trailer material up there with the Azure and Hajimari trailer). Anyway, I won’t get too much into it for spoilers sake, but I’ll say this… If there was any doubts before that the Kuro’s arc Sept-Terrion was the Time one, they’ve all certainly vanished by now. This trailer makes it so on the nose it’s almost ridiculous (Makes sense that the trailer showed so much, though, since Falcom had been very minimalist until now with the details they’d revealed). At the same time, part of me can’t help but feel this game is going to hit the “Kuro fixed all of CS’s issues” crowd pretty hard… Kuro was already kinda like CS1 when it came to being more moderate with the “Falcom formula” (Harem, few to none “true” deaths, anime tropes, etc) than later games. I can totally see Falcom going back to that with what the trailer showed (It will be interesting to see how those people react, if anything). Oh well… I guess we’ll just have to see if I end up being right or wrong.
As I said, the anime "fixes" the Nakanohara scene. I looked up Hokusai in Fate after this and... yeah, it's weird but oddly fitting. It's really just the timing that's the problem for me. I watched that trailer too. I like it, and I doubt the death shown there will stick. Or rather, I'm DESPARATELY HOPING it won't, because a lot of fans are very worried they're going to backpedal on some of the well-liked aspects of Kuro 1.
@@BigKlingy "weird" is putting things lightly, but honestly, that's one of the reasons I like the Nasuverse so much. Not only does it have some really good stories and themes, it's also genuinely one of the most unique fictional universes I've ever seen (with literally endless amounts of weird lore rabbit holes). And yeah... I doubt those 1st deaths will stick given all the timeline implications, but I'm curious to see how Falcom resolves things.

Those DLC Personas are really beautiful though. I think that's a good enough reason for people to use them. Or perhaps it has something to do with Nostalgia or Fondness of the other games in the series. Either way, I can't wait to see which Personas you'll use after you'll get to a higher level.
I'm looking forward to finding out my endgame comp too, since often I can't predict which skills I'll carry on throughout a run. I usually end up with different endgame skillsets every time.

In the p5 I bought all of the dlc personas and cheesed kamoshida's palace with thanatos and messiah picaro and during madarame's I just got rid of them all they made the game boring (and were impractical considering how much sp they used up) it made my madarame experience a lot more enjoyable
Admittedly using Messiah Picaro on Kamoshida would be satisfying. (I'd say not as much as Yoshitsune, but the fight has forced phase shifts so you can't oneshot it)
I'll be showing off the free DLC ones. I'm not sure I'll show the Royal costumes as it's a LOT of money to spend for just cosmetics. (I think it'd be about $50 my currency)
@@BigKlingy Its kind of poor taste for game companies to make DLC expensive when games in this day in age are already around the same price as the game which is $59.99. Some of the games are cheaper than that but the DLC somehow is more expensive.
@@tiffanysparks4668 I find Nintendo is generally pretty good about DLC. Except FE Echoes. Usually with Nintendo, you're getting a full expansion pack of content for the price most other companies charge for a few costumes, songs or things that were already in the disc to begin with.

What would happen if all your messing with the guide would mean that you failed to max all confidants. Would you rage quit? Honestly given that you only have a dozen save slots you might make a irreversible mistake and save over it
There is PLENTY of extra time towards the end of the year in this game. Effectively all of December and January are free days. There's basically no way I'm going to miss out on maxing all the Confidants, the only ones I'd need to worry about are Sun and Councilor (which have deadlines), but neither have stat checks. I guess there's technically one deadline Confidant that does have stat checks, but it's only Lv 3 Charm and Knowledge.
I always hate how the iconic main persona in 3-5 are so weak and yet purposively relevant as there are in the cover. I always found it better with Persona 2 having the ultimate Persona be on the cover. Maybe P6 can have it.
To be honest it's very obvious who the main characters are in the original game because of the box art and into and just in general but I think persona 5 royal puts it in our face too much
I guess some aspects of it could be okay relaxation techniques, it's just the "Einstein and Newton believed in it" thing and the whole "the universe will magically give you what you want" part. I heard the author got into controversy for implying people in poverty just aren't wishing hard enough.

It had a video where a boy wishes for a bike and a creepy-looking old man comes and gives it to him. No, this was not a skit, this was an actual official piece of media for The Secret.
