Time to FINALLY go over these! One for P5, one for Portable, one for FES, and for P4, the most broken one of all... #persona5royal #DLC #izanaginookami
The new few videos might be delayed by a few days. I have the gameplay recorded, but we'll be getting all the party's 3rd tier Personas in a row and I need to record bios for all of them. That might take a bit.
Music Used: Raoul: Beneath the Mask Smash remix. Orpheus F: Danger Zone - Persona 3 Portable. Athena: Heartful Cry - Persona 3 FES Izanagi-no-Okami: I'll Face Myself Smash remix.
Actually it’s kinda funny how much InO makes both final bosses a joke. AND IT MAKES SENSE IN LORE BECAUSE HE’S DISPELLING THE FOG OF LIES FOR A BRIGHT AND CLEAR TRUTH! It’s amazing! So amazing that some people backported Myriad Truths into P4G. It’s as insane as it sounds. Is there any wonder why Yu has this as his instant kill?
Honestly with how op the dlc personas are in this game. I wouldn't be suprise if in Persona 6 we get Satanel as dlc and gets a skill that one-shots bosses and also heals the entire party
10:46 This is giving me shades of the Play Arts Batman figure. Raoul sticks out like a sore thumb amongst all the other DLC personas; wish he got more attention, because I love it as an evolution of Arsene.
10:46 Funny you should say that now... (there's a later 3rd tier Persona VERY clearly modelled on Batman) Me too, it's pretty clear he was supposed to be in the main game but their either couldn't work him in or... got greedy, because he's easily my favourite 3rd tier design and Satanael doesn't have much obvious progression from Arsene.
9:05 I just realised that giving Odin "Ice Age" is unintentionally fitting considering Fimbulvetr. 12:50 That calculator is a freaking godsent for trying to fuse something specific. 21:05 Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro seems like it exists for the sole purpose of taking Persona 5 Royal over it's knee and delivering the game a Galactic Punt.
I really like Raoul’s design. I like it kinda of nod to lupin The third’s desgin with the red jacket. I kinda wanted him to be a bit more powerful and have more resistances I play the lupin the third ‘s theme when you did Raoul’s bio. Izangi-no-okami: aka the persona that shows the power of friendship and socializing destroy your enemies.
So, two things. One, a dumb fanfic idea. Lavenza letting Mishima to spend one night in Joker's Thieves' Den as reward for his encouragement of the public on Christmas Eve. All the hijinks ensues and, once it's done, Mishima wakes up, remembering his dream, but still thinking it wasn't real. As for the second one, finally watched ep 6 of Northern War. A certain former student made his debut. Gotta say, if it keeps on going like this, I will prefer to watch first two Erebonia games over Crossbell. 7:53 Nice Fate reference. 9:57 Slaneeshi demon. No two ways about it. 13:22 Oh, nice. The Smash remix.
SMT V was the first MegaTen game I played. In it, Idun has the skill Golden Apple, which heals your entire party and buffs all their stats. Even though it was balanced out by costing a TON of MP and only being available at level 42, it was still one of the most overpowered skills in the game and made Idun my favorite demon. Then Persona 5 Royal came out on Switch, and it gave me Female Orpheus, which has Golden Apple for a fraction of the SP at level 11. Even though I refrained from using her, it was a sign of exactly how easy this game was going to be
Golden Apple is also somewhat balanced by being locked to a Lv 40's-ish Demon. Idunn CAN be late game viable, but it takes work. Yoshitsune is similar.
0:46 It's always comforting to hear Igor welcome us to this place. 2:33 Possibly an odd time to bring this up, but Reshiram has a crotch... crest? And that has also always bothered me. Beartic and Blaziken have... things, on their groins too, but those are at least less immediately phallic. Not that that's stopped people from mistaking them for male parts, but still. Reshiram would looks so much more majestic without that... thing. Having used Neo Cadenza myself against Kamoshida, BigKlingy ain't kidding about how broken it is, y'all. Seriously, I annihilated that pervy d-bag three times while half-asleep thanks to Neo Cadenza, even after _manually_ infiltrating the Palace (as in actually navigating my way to the throne room, not just Fast Traveling there, meaning I had to fight some things) all three times. I promptly stopped using Fem!Orpheus both because I needed Personas of all the Confidant Arcana so I can max them all out, and because that SP problem wasn't going to be a problem for long. Not much else to say. Raoul is like, the one Persona here who, if you get him when you're supposed to, doesn't really seem like that much of a game-breaker. Maybe that's just by comparison though. It really bothers me that he's a DLC Persona though. I'm sure it'd be a lot of work, but why not give him a special extra slot in your Persona stock and make him a story Persona like Arséne and Satanael are? Did they really _need_ to release the game faster or something?
Ah, I was wondering when you'd talk about these, including Mr. Broken-Beyond-Reason. This should be fun. 2:33 Must have gotten fashion advise from Incubus. 6:45 The hype man will live on in the dragon. 8:10 Laguz Friend is certainly an interesting skill, even if the name is somewhat odd for what it does. The fact Raoul exists as Joker's third tier Persona makes it really weird that they didn't let you summon Satanael in the third semester.
Considering Raoul was most likely meant to be part of the base game, I wonder why they couldn’t fit him in. Did they not have enough time to find a moment for them to give him to you, or was it just greed in atlus and sega’s part. Regardless it’s still a massive shame because Raoul is not only relevant as a third tier persona but is actually balanced unlike the other dlc. 13:07 Oh hey! The smash version of beneath the mask I really love this version, if I remember right didn’t one of the xenoblade composers make that remix? 14:51 w-why did they give her a cheap multi targeting healing HEAT RISER!?! I know she’s dlc but still!! Oh and that’s danger zone, I remember you using that song for one of p3 party members 16:41 Huh, her skill set’s a mini Aigis, out of all the dlc personas Athena is the one I constantly forget about, which is a shame as she isn’t bad at all. 18:30 Everyone: “H-have mercy, please!” Izanagi-no-Okami: “There is no mercy” CONCENTRATED MYRIAD TRUTHS Honestly Izanagi-no-Okami is in genuine contention for most overpowered thing you’ve shown (or explained in this case) on your channel, this puts Radiant Dawn Haar to shame in how broken this persona is, I can’t think of anything else except maybe Seth and Awakening Robin, also P4 Yoshitune but that’s only because he didn’t have much competition in that game
0:56 All we had to do was break out of Maruki’s BS. Let’s just keep it that way. 2:34 The fact that you had to say that only made me realize that. 3:18 I think using a Persona representing Maruki is fitting to show Maruki the power that allowed Joker to get this far in the first place. 8:10 Ike was stated to be one of the strongest Emblems in that game, and I can see why. He’s capable of making you tank all non magic attacks and hits back harder with Great Aether. 10:40 The Background for Raoul fits perfectly for an ideal hero protagonist. 14:46 She clearly got one of the single best skills in the game. You would never have to use Thermopylae with VotT ever again. 16:37 Aigis! I still love you! 18:40 Chad Izanagi no Okami in P5 > Virgin Izanagi no Okami in P4
14:46 You do need to feed her a lot of sacrifices to get her up to endgame-viable levels, though. 18:40 P4's was THE epitome of "bragging rights reward", here, the epitome of brokenness.
Today we destroy every possible remains of balance left in this game. And then proceed to hide the crime away and act like nothing happened. And another note, Arsene + Satanael also makes Raoul (makes complete sense)
21:15 I have noticed that Izanagi no Okami is the only Persona to be the World Arcana in every game he has appeared in. Unless you count Messiah in PQ (but I don’t).
So Raoul is shown I might as well talk about him. Raoul is so cool in looks. Hazy Presence is actually interesting as it kind of makes sense for a leader of the Phantom Thieves. Phantom Show is really good on none boss non immune enemies. Get Curse Boost and Raoul is killer Curser. Now I actually like using and trying to only use Raoul on Royal’s Final Boss and never switching. The Raoul I got served me well. Though I did have to fuse up Personas to make a really good Raoul. Only DLC Persona who isn’t OP for when he would have been gotten. Fem Orpheus like all other DLC Persona. Is OP Athena. Like all other DLC Personas. Is OP. Izanagi-No-Okami. Unlike all other DLC Personas. Is not OP. He is fucking unfair. He effectively is Mega Rayquaza but somehow more OP. If you need anything more OP. Pick up Picaro. Aka I never use him he is just that OP. Though nice touch of him being World. But god I swear the devs must have been challenging themselves on if they can make something even more busted than all the other DLC Personas. Well guess what Devs. You did. Only thing more busted is you gave us the Demi-Fiend himself with all his immunities and Gaea Rage. Want an easier than easy difficulty. Pick up Izanagi-No-Okami. Though at least we see Myraid of Truth outside of a final boss cutscene in P4 and a 1HKO in arena, a 1HKO which I find absurdly easy to get off that has lead me to get hit by Thanatos sending a Megidoloan to my face.
@@BigKlingy it really is. I think what’s funny is I’m sure I have said nothing will be more broken than Mega Rayquaza. Now Izanagi-no-Okami is a thing I am eating my past self’s words
0:39 an alarm 6:45 the throne who realized his god was fake and joined the fight against him. Rest in peace, you beautiful angel. 10:26 so we can fuse raoul outside ng+, but not satanael. 18:30 and there he is, the destroyer of p5r 19:05 that begs the question what sinful shell might do in p6 dlc (theoretically). I dont think that it will be as op as myriad truths because for me, it looks a lot more like a 1 target skill. Maybe it will one shot any enemy (not bosses)
It was a pretty cool alarm though. Let's not forget the sacrifices that the Throne went through to get here. Myriad Truths is very funny in this game. I could see the Sinful Shell having some defence piercing ability like it does damage as if the opponent has half endurance or something.
0:06 Yep. If people thought that vanilla's DLC Personas were broken, they haven't seen nothing yet! 0:44 FREEDOM!!! 2:36 I don't f*cking know. 3:24 But don't you need to itemize him to get Akechi's ultimate gun? 4:21 Lol, yeah, wrong game. 4:29 No, you don't. 4:35 There you go. 6:42 Really? No reaction to Judge End? 7:52 Heh, nice reference. 8:13 Yeah, pretty much. 10:57 I kind of wish he wasn't DLC, but I'm not sure how he would have been obtained otherwise. Maybe by getting everyone else's 3rd-tier Personas? But even then, due to... certain reasons, that would be pretty impractical. 13:05 I see you have gone with the Smash remix of Beneath the Mask. Good choice. 13:33 Okay, confession time: for the longest time, I thought the name of Raoul's signature skill was Phantom Snow. It wasn't until I looked it up a few months ago I realized it was actually called Phantom Show. 14:38 Hell yeah, Danger Zone! This song slaps! 15:02 Yep, easily one of the best skills in the entire game, on a Lv. 11 Persona! 16:37 Yes, Heartful Cry! 18:28 And now, time for the one Persona who is even more broken than Yoshitsune! YES, I AM DEAD SERIOUS!!! 18:30 Nice, Smash remix of I'll Face Myself!
I'm kinda mixed on Raoul being DLC. He should have been in the base Royal game as a reward for making it to the 3rd Semester. If they aren't going to let you fuse Satanael, then the least they could have done is make Raoul free. Does anyone else think that Metis' Persona Psyche should have been DLC to represent The Answer? Of all the DLC personas, the only one whose brokenness is even remotely justified is Izanagi-no-Okami. The guy has an Arcana all to himself.
The concept art in the Thieves Den implies he was supposed to be part of the main game. I got ninja'd but yeah, there's evidence Psyche was planned to be DLC.
6:15 I actually used vasuki to get the high score on the level ??? on the p4 protagonist but the only difference is that I had wage war on him for reasons. Those high score was hard to get well more so on the p3 one because he survives with 1 hp and the only way I beat him was doing joker and Morgana alone. Speaking of Morgana I have a theory on what his human form is based on. If you go back on one of your videos at the time where they was eating on New Year’s Eve when Morgana said “ If I was a human like him then maybe lady Ann would…” the guy he was talking about looks just like human Morgana just that his hair color was brown not black.
Very Looking Cool there for Joker's Thought-of-to-be his Ultimate Persona storywise but Oh well as a DLC in Royal Exclusive (no color Pallet tho.) along with other DLCs like Aigis's, Makoto Yuuki own, even includes Yu Narukami own Personas U very familiar with for most people & having their Picaros Color Pallets & some of their skills added or not. 🤔...🙂
18:29 I have a level 99 max stat Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro. if you're able to get both Spell Master and Magic Ability onto it you could wreck shop for a cheap SP price.
Really sucks that Raoul is paid DLC, yes, I'm a PS4 owner and I don't think buying P5R again just to get it for free is not worth the money. Having said that, at least I can still use Satanael which goes a ways to healing my broken heart since I don't have a Helel in this game, for obvious reasons.
I typically don't go for the DLC Personas, I just wanted to show them here. Might use Raoul later because he's not THAT broken and should've been part of the game, but still.
@@BigKlingy Pretty much everyone agrees that Raoul is the one ""DLC"" Persona that's fair game in terms of the usual No DLC rule. Since he was intended to be in the base game at some point, Yeah. I'd say it's fair to use him.
Hey, it's Valentine's Day time for a rapidly escalating comment about chea- Oh wait, it's not Valentine's Day yet in the game. Never mind, wake me up when we get to the real Valentine's Day. Xp 2:37- If it's any consolation Klingy, better a crotch spike instead of- *Mara, Theorin, and Cthulhu bounce around* That. It's better than that at least... 8:12- Good I'm not the only one who thought that. As soon as I saw that Ike had that ability, my mind went, "Wait isn't that just firm stance?" Also I oddly feel like I like the "Firm Stance" in Engage more than it here. Am I the only one like that? 9:14- Also is it just me or does Ishtar look ghastly pale in this game? She kind of looks vampiric because of it. 13:23- On that note, while we've yet to see the other 3rd Tier Personas yet for the other party members besides Morgana's in this LP, I have to say that so far, I think Raoul nailed the "modern interpretation look" so far. Looking at Morgana's, I didn't really like it in regards to it being a "modern" look for his Persona. I feel like whenever someone tries to "modernize" a character design, I feel like it has an incredibly high chance of failure. But here, I honestly think they did an amazing job for a more "modern look" for someone's Persona. Raoul looks like the perfect upgrade from Arsene's looks, but it feels perfectly natural and feels a lot less forced with the "modern" look to it. (Also take a shot of water (AND ONLY WATER) for every time I said "modern" like that. lol) 15:18- That's utterly absurd. How many times has this make the game's balance just dying again? Like what, the 52nd time or the 53rd? 16:24- So 54th time the game's balance broke, got it. Xp 21:04- And now time to see how many more time's the game's balance just broke after going over Iz- *Game Balance Broken Counter is now nothing more than a smoldering crater after going over their bio* Errr... At least it gets the point across about his brokenness...? In other news, some smaller bits of progress into Engage for what was probably one of the easiest maps I've done despite how far I'm in now. But on that note, seems like stuff is about to pick up after that pathetic showing, so that should be interesting to see.
8:12 Firm Stance in the Persona games usually isn't too relevant outside of the Superbosses. In Engage, it's insanely useful for letting you tank whole armies at once. (Especially since it halves Corrupted Wyrm damage, which otherwise ignores defense) 13:23 Raoul might be the best one imo.
@@BigKlingy Okay, that explains why it feels so much better in Engage. Really interesting how you can take the concept of one skill from one game, put it into another, and it suddenly works so much better compared to its home game. Also didn't even think of the latter application, but it just makes me like it more. I usually try to just end them before they can strike so I don't usually think of the damage they do. (Also side note, can we all agree how dumb it is there's like several different ways of dealing effective damage to "dragons" but they do jack to Corrupted Wyrms because they're technically not considered dragons despite being frikin Dragons!) And I'll take your word for it, but I do hope at least some of the other Tier 3 Personas the other party members get at least come close to coolness Raoul has.
That should be fun to look at. It is better than that. Also, you can't see the spike in Persona 1 due to how his sprite looks like in game, I think. When I saw that skill for the first time, I immediately thought of Firm Stance in this game. I am mainly using it to help setup my Wrath and Vantage and it also really helps with Great Aether too. I think Ishtar did have a more pronounced skin colour in SMT5, thinking about it. I really like Raoul's design too and thinking about the other 3rd Tier Personas, I say he is probably in my top five at least since I feel like I like some of the 3rd Tier designs more than most people. Neo Cadenza is hilariously powerful considering you can gain access to her naturally in the first palace considering her very low starting level. That also reminded me that I should have made much better use out of regular Cadenza at the start of my Persona 3 Portable playthrough. You could get that Enduring Soul skill card as long as you reach the treasure in the third palace which is also hilarious to think about. Myriad Truths has the highest damage potential in the game without too much setup like status for instance but if you don't have it, then that would go to Hassou Tobi. Good to hear that you made that map look easy and hopefully things will go smoothly for the next maps. As for myself, I beat two paralogues and they went well and the first one had an extremely powerful optional opponent that I did beat which was cool. I also got everyone to promote too which is very cool as well.
@@BerserkerRohan It will be if there is one. Xp Looks like P1 inadvertently saved you from seeing the spike in multiple games with how it handle the sprite. Xp Again, nice seeing I wasn't the only one to think that. Yeah that skill would help a ton with wrath vantage strats. Been mainly using it just for tanking purposes. Not just that game, but pretty much any other game she's in. Seriously, I have no idea why she looks like a vampire in this game. It is really a cool design and I hope the other 3rd Tiers get close to its coolness. Which just makes her even more absurd of a Persona. Wonder how normal Cadenza works if this is the upgraded version in this game. That is also absurd, but given all the other DLC we've seen, that's scarily not even the most broken thing here. Again, also a stupidly absurd skill. Many thanks and I'll need that hope given the frustrations the current map I'm on is giving me. Well done on your end as well, especially with that first paralouge and its optional fight. Also now I have a good read where you are, so really good job so far. Also now your core team is finally promoted? Makes those other victories more impressive given how difficult some of those maps you just finished can be. Again, well done.
@@jaredfayette2567 I guess that is good thing. You can make some units really tanky which really helps. Normal Cadenza is heals the 50% of max HP on everyone but only gives everyone Sukukaja and the original Orpheus in this game has the normal Cadenza. The Royal DLC is absurdly strong and you bet I would have tried making use of it, if I had access to it. I believe in you for clearing that map. What I meant was everyone unit I have recruited is now promoted so my next goal might be to get everyone to at least Level 5 so they learn their class skill.
Yup, yup, yup, love Izanagi-no-Okami if you wanna break the game but can they make an even more broken Persona with Persona 6? Who knows, only the future will tell but I could imagine that they can make one if the start by giving Satanael a seven times severe Almighty attack with Sinful Shell (Seven Sins after all). I mean the whole point of that Skill is to kill a god which Izanagi is. I supposed Tyrant's Mind would be great to put into Izanagi if you can transfer it as well but I think that ones exclusive too. I guess klingy will tell when we are at Satanael.
Joker’s third tier Persona is DLC? That’s incredibly bizarre. Thought for sure Joker would get his third tier Persona in the final battle (assuming you make it to the third semester.)
So since Raoul is the equivalent of the Tier 3 Persona and hence would logically be a combination of Arscene and Satanael and the others take their affinities from the Ultimate Personas even if they resemble the base Personas more then shouldn't Raoul have Satanael's admittedly insane affinities. Talking about those affinities, them being transferred directly into Q2 when you get Joker's Ultimate turns them from something that you have to play the game twice, at the point the main new challenges are the Superbosses to being something that you can take through the entire last part of the game. even better than the other Protagonists Ultimate Personas albeit that's because their also trying to be accurate to their home games affinity wise which dilutes the refence, albeit somewhat failing in some way, since Orpheus Telos is resistant to everything, Izanagi No Okami resistant to all normal magic and physical and Messiah resistant to all magical elements in their home game combined with an immunity to Light but a weakness to Dark, but all of them are not resistant to Psy and Nuke, while accurate in a way since it just didn't exist but is against the spirit of the original resistances, and the first two lost any resistance to physical entirely, and with Izanagi no Okami specifically it wasn't going to be entirely accurate anyway because both there and the first Q its a direct upgrade of Izanagi in the same way the party members have Ultimate Personas so it has to keep Izanagi's positive affinities like its immunity to Dark. So looking at how Raoul has an exclusive ailment skill and hence he can set up Technical for himself and others, it reminds that very Personas in both 5 and Royal are designed to take advantage of Technical by themselves, especially if its something that's somewhat specific like combining PSY with some of the ailment it does technical damage against, while Technical wasn't as strong in the original game it was still there, and you admittedly cannot design a Personas base ability after the extra technical conditions that Royal added because their locked behind a book. So Athena here has actual heavy tier skills, one of my main issues with Aigis in Persona 3 is the fact that she's stuck with medium tier skills until the 70's long after everyone else has learned some kind of heavy tier option. the shakeup with her skills is appreciated but since they gave her Akasha Arts, a skill from her home game as her exclusive skill they can fully recreate her skillset in Royal if they wanted too, which the others either cannot or do in the same way, their either made up for this game or are in the original game or aren't regular skills like how Candenza is a Fusion Spell and Myriad Truths is a cutscene skill. Talking about Izanagi no Okami, considering how the original game had Messiah it actually somewhat surprises me he wasn't in the original game
@@BigKlingy While Satanael move set design is somewhat weird in Q2, while he has higher Strength than Magic and Riot Gun everything else he has is Magical/Support or Passive in his home game I always felt that how he works as a whole is also weird for Arscene, while his skillset is more appliable to Arscene because his attacking elements are Physical elements and Dark with a slight focus for physical because of Cleave and Dream Needle but he is mostly Agility focused with identical Strength and Magic, while in Q he has very high Strength and Endurance over both his Magic and Agility, both weird for him and the archetypal Phantom Thief in general.
