Nuh uh! Ryuji was straight up asking the right questions! You only understand the quality of the toilet paper when you have to use the low quality ones
@@Takejiro24 Exactly. It’s such a ridiculous question. It’s like asking “Would you prefer to eat scraps out of the garbage can or would you prefer to eat a real meal?”
No ryuji has legitimate concerns, if akira answered single ply then not only would ryuji have a legit reason to not marry but Akira would be worst protagonist in persona. Though really stuff like that is for the prenups.
@@lemonfresh8606 That's.. I thought they were much more different in age, but only 2-3 years? Why the community is in so much debate about this, if my parents are like 8 years apart and according to everyone in my country that is normal.
@@kuefati Literally just a year or so apart, the person above is lying. Futaba is 15-16, she'd be a first year like Kanji, Rise, and Naoto are in P4 if she went to school. Joker is a second-year, 16-17. The "debate" about her age is just attention-seekers making up problems to be upset about. Now on the other hand, Joker hooking up with adult women who must be in their 20s actually IS something to raise an eyebrow at... but that's not effective as outrage bait so the complainers ignore it. Funny, that.
Honestly I like to imagine that the none canons things are our perfect reality as to how we would want the protagonist to act. (I know no one asked but that's just how I see it)
@@N1SPECIAL I should have done that... I still feel bad, just from remembering her reaction. But it was only my second play of the game, counting the original P5, and on that one, I dated Futaba... As I don't use any guides, Haru's confidant ended up at level 5 at most, on P5. On Royal, I decided to check what all the buzz about Makoto was, and she was my girl, and I decided to not go haren. Didn't know Haru was going to get more screen time. Next playthru, I'll go with Haru, for sure.
@@Mr.M_M.M.2 *Not to?* She has an exclusive Hawaii date and is constantly seen as the mother of the group to Joker's pseudo-fatherly status, not to mention how tightly involved she is in Joker's life compared to the other candidates with her sister being the one hunting down her leader's identity.
Futaba's and Haru's hit me in the sweet spot. Like, damn. Futaba's was extremely sweet with her being proud of herself for growing up alright, and Sojiro's pride in his daughter. But Haru just punched me square in the heart. Never liking how she looks in these pretty dresses as a kid, only to grow up, and on her wedding day, she finally looks in the mirror and thinks "I feel beautiful." Fuck, man.
I might be one of the few that might prefer the memes over the fanservice. But I admit, Yusuke did gain my respect for carrying about having a family someday. Dude is built different, but he is indeed a builder.
Well let’s be honest here Ryuji is just a straight up dude with honesty completely in mind. Makoto will kill you if you cheat on her and while that sounds very psychotic her entire attitude screams that if you fuck around you Will Find Out. Which I honestly respect considering how I have similar traits
Ann one is certainly something that puts into perspective how Joker see Ann as being the glutton one of the group while at the sametime being the one who he thinks intentionally makes all her clothes very tight. Makoto on the other hand probably ends with his own funeral.
I think Ren prefers Ryuji to Ann as one of his friends, like I've been playing Royal again and his responses to what he thinks of her range from "she's hot, she's a strong fighter or she's stupid". Like none of those really say "friend", stuff like Sae's interrogation, Sae lists Ryuji off first as "your bestie for life" and Ann gets "idfk some chick fucked over by Kamoshida" and even her romance route feels forced at the end given how half of it has her singing sea shanties about Shiho on top of him being like...weirded out by how airheaded she is.
Ann being the gluttonous one in the group? I thought Sumire was the gluttonous one (like seriously, girl eats 6 full plates like its nothing and she still is hungry, literally and figuratively 😏).
@@elae4051 It's hard to like Ann because they make her so much worse after the Kamoshida arc, it feels like they even acknowledge it IN THE GAME as well. Ryuji is best bro without a doubt, wish Ann was just like that too but.. eh.
I interpreted the Ann scene as her ping-pong-ing back-and-forth between contradictions but being happy about it in the end. I didn't see Ann as being bad after the Kamoshida arc, but I do find she has been portrayed as ditzy and a ball of contradictions. She doesn't want to be viewed as a sex object, but she her Phantom Thief garb and how Atlus "fan-services" her say the opposite. She wants to stay in shape, but she is always downing sugary food (lack of proper nutrition might be keeping her skinny in an unhealthy manner, like Futaba, if you think about it).
Even in his wedding, the Joker cannot escape Sae's silent (and Makoto's verbal and painful) judgement. Haru's wedding has no right to be that emotional... damn you. Don't do my sadistic floof like this.
Sae would probably make sure she’s the one Joker has to turn in all the paperwork for marriage too. She’d probably get a side-license as priest JUST to make sure Joker felt her stare at every possible second.
9:17 don’t care what anyone says this right here is cannon to me 😭 (homie literally shedded a tear thinking about marrying haru if that ain’t love ion know what is 😭😭😭)
Man.. haru is just so pure and sweet I really wish Haru didnt get so shafted in both installments. Seriously in R they could’ve done more with her i mean she would’ve been a much easier pick for romance if they allowed haru to have a few more scenes to really shine with the protagonist like they did with Sumire who you cant even romance with unless you get the true ending route.
Yusuke: PLAP! PLAP! PLAP! Get- Ryuji: he's playing the long game, he's at the wedding and already thinking how to live together. Ann: • Eat cake • Marry MC(optional) Makoto: Phantom thieves: Jokers die twice. Futaba: So cute that it almost makes me forget about the Futaba shippers... *Almost* Haru: The best girl being condemned to the role of being a secundary character in her own arc.
@@javelinmaster2Some people have sibling complexes and see her as Jokers sister. That’s genuinely the main issue I’ve seen from people hating on Futaba shippers. I don’t see it, but they seem hell bent on that view
@Shevlander ah ok. The thing is just that it's complicated. I mean Brojiro is Joker's legal guardian for a year. So that only brings up the question if that alone makes Joker and Futaba brother and sister. The series however doesn't really treat them like a brother and sister like p4 did with Yu and (I forgot her name). Plus Brojiro was also ok with Joker and Futaba being a thing in P5. Futaba was also the 1st girl I picked as Romantic partner in P5 mostly due to her Personality.
Honestly a lot of this game is Persona Q coded. The art style, it being set in a massive game wide cognitive world about a specific new character, the way personas are handled.
@@anneprocterA very similar scene happens in Persona Q. Main differences being you have 4 times the options, and every single one of them is fully voice acted.
While nowhere near close to being as intuitive as the PQ marriage scenes, this is a nice little distraction. Bonus points for letting Ren pick the fellas in the what-if’s.
@@Crispman_777 going off the anime i mean. In the anime joker is characterized as having the social charisma of a wet brick when it comes to anything not phantom thieve related. But the anime also is has him spending time with everyone. This means joker keeps hanging out with the girls and they all think he's dating them.
Did anyone else notice that Futaba read Joker's silence twice in her scene? (One in the imagination, and then when he sparks back to reality- she goes "huh? you'll make us happy?" That's a detail I love. They're around each other and both non-verbal enough that they have eye-contact language + read each other's silences. So cute
Saying a lot that Joker's same-sex marriage fantasies are played as unserious jokes while the marriages with the girls are played more straightforwardly.
They didn't seem malicious though. For example with Ryuji it just sounded like a young couple deciding on dumb couple things ahead of time from the wedding. That's just normal (and adorable), isn't it?
@@sparktwochristopher7240 Yeah, seems like those two were getting the lions-share of love here (Not unwarranted though). Ann's came off as more comedic, and as for Makoto... I get the feeling that if Makoto doesn't do him in, Sae would definitely finish him off.
We missed out on a lot not having the guys be romancable in P5/P5R, but seeing some of their sillier relationship priorities and Makoto's scene really made me reflect on some of the cheating drama we were robbed of. Ryuji being completely blindsided and openly hurt, Yusuke having a measured but disappointed response, Akechi feeling deceived and maybe the most doubtful of himself. Well, at east it was cute to see everyone in what Ren imagines their dream outfits would be.
I find it funnier that they actually took this semi seriously for a 3 minute gag. Even the guy characters treat it seriously, when in all honesty you'd expect the Ryuji one to be a follow up to the White Day part of Persona 5 where neither he or Joker have bitches. You'd think they'd take the obvious route of the two getting married bc there was literally no one else, but they actually take it seriously. Kudos
F that we couldn't also pick confidants because I'd be marrying Mishima in a heartbeat. He seems like he'd be the absolute biggest sweetheart (even if that may be just because he's so grateful to have someone to be with LMAO)
Wow Ryuji was the only one who said cute stuff since the start instead talking about how good he looked or complain about someone. Best boi, best waifu (I chose Futaba in P5, but... I have to be fair, Ryuji was the best here)
While I still believe Makoto is best girl (Haru is a VERY close second) and and that I’ll never romance Futaba, Haru’s was definitely my favorite and made me slightly tear up, Futaba’s was very wholesome, the boys were great, Ann’s was good, and Makoto’s was pretty funny.
@@jschannel6319Its 2023 can y'all drop that stupid headcanon? Futaba is not Joker's sister and never will be. Romancing her is as fine as romancing the rest of the girls in the group.
@@tulaamami7759 firstly, I said basically. And say you get adopted into a family with another adopted son/daughter. You get feelings for them or the other way around. Would you date the other adopted son/daughter and feel absolutely nothing about it?
Makoto's wedding scene made me laugh when I got to it in my playthrough. Ren is putting himself in hot water if he dates Makoto because Sae would watch him like a hawk, and kill him if he messes up lol.
I mean. He already escape law once, i think he can escape and angry chick. And for makoto, maybe IRL makoto has a slight advantage but if they go to the metaverse joker can do a myriads of truths and one shot her
Im honestly suprised Ann had the most adorkable one while Futaba's was one of the most heartwarming. I expected them reversed. Unexpected but not unpleasant.
After choosing my partner from my first P5R playthrough, I came back to this conversation and the worst part is, I choose Yusuke as my first option instead of any of the other girls...
