Persona is going to be like Mario, for each main line game there is going to be a tons of spin-offs developed by other parties, so Atlus get more licensing revenue and other companies can get development contracts
This game def needs a worldwide release. For those who don’t know all the new characters, while they are original, are mostly inspired by original designs and concepts for the Phantom Thieves. You’ll see a lot of similarities in the Concept pages of the official design works. I think they did a fantastic job adapting them into fresh characters all their own.
@@mizzix Actually no, he can't. Only basic Personas are available in gacha and you HAVE to fusion to get the good ones. At least that's how it worked in the last test of the game.
Arcanas for the new characters in the trailer: Blue haired gamer girl - Time Silver haired water girl - Fortitude Cowboy adult user - Juggler Small detective girl - Popess Arcanas are from Visconti-Sforza Tarot, like Sumire Yoshizawa's Faith Arcana.
Considering all of current P5 console games streaming restrictions lifted, Phantom X can go all out with spoilers in terms of narrative direction and potential new characters. Toshiro will at least have a proper scale and Phantom Thief design, as Tactica hinted Erina is his rebellion form separated from him.
IIRC. This game is a mobile game with Gacha to get members of the phantom thife playable charectors and personas. So maybe Wolf and Toshiro will join the game.
2:33 - 2:38, 2:43 - 2:46, 2:48 - 2:50, 2:53 - 2:58 There are four new characters. In addition from prior revealed new Phantom Thieves. This is not including the OG group, Violet, Wolf, Sophie, and Toshiro,(& Erina tecnically). If so then this makes the largest group of playable Persona users outside of the P4 Arena Ultimax. Even then this is probably bigger.
@@losharikoved The question is, aside from obvious cameo characters, which ones will have actual story or deep enough Event relevance. As we only thought it would the P5X characters but they are pushing Joker now even though he might be just a cognition. Not to mention as past Beta gameplay videos have shown they are going out of their way to personalize each character from others even if they use the same element by using different animations for said attacks, spells, or techniques.
@@ZimVerse I don't know I even saw a lot of them in civilian form being interacted in prior beta gameplay and trailers. Not to mention the all extra content this game has added they really did not need to but they did anyway, like working out, jobs, fishing, batting, musical rhythm mode, tests/quiz etc. Unlike most gatchs games they are REALLY stuffing this full of content. So the characters make me think this will be a long story. Of which they certainly take advantage of.
The very beginning of this trailer made me worried the Phantom Thieves were going to somehow be treated as this game's antagonists, but I'm relieved to see that isn't the case
I dunno if people realize this but if P5X actually is successful it'll be a super big brain move by ATLUS, as the money they made from X can be put towards making P6 even better.
@@vovan230183right? lol the money they made off 5 and royal alone should be more than enough to make 6. Hoping side projects, they need money to develop, blows up to add money to your main game makes no sense.
Or atlus finally wanna tap on successful gacha game market with persona franchise to get potentially lot of money, not that complex haha. Nothing wrong with trying to get more money. Like above said for sure they got enough money already fro P6, but getting more money always good
I think Atlus is taking lessons from Ryu Ga Gotoku now. The latter was learning how to make RPGs with their latest Like a Dragon entries, and now Atlus is seemingly learning a bit more about mini-games. I can see the influences between them. That is a positive feedback loop of great game design.
Five New Party Members Are Joining The Neo Phantom Thieves of Hearts Staring With Riko Tanemura Who's Code And Persona Will Be Revealed A Teenage Girl Name Yui With Spiral Twin Tails Another Teenage Girl Who is a Secondary Backup Navigator A Little Girl From Elementary School Who Calls Herself Riddle By Her Phantom Thief Code Name Riding a Toy Robot Like Persona And a Teenage Boy Who's Persona's Name is Gortula
This is honestly animated way better than Atlus's stuff. Like, the effect animation was always top of the line, and this is _juust about_ on the same level. Not a slight downgrade, like Strikers was. But the character and camera animation? Ho-lee
@@RoTVer122doubt the content way less, u can see lot new things already like basketball and soccer is somehow animated, and u got some scene of wonder playing soccer. Plus the rhythm game which not exist in P5 bsee or royal gsme
2:54 *My love shall in my verse ever live young* (Sonnet 19), are we getting Shakespeare as a persona, cause that would be dope. (Never mind, it's Gorgyra)
All footage seems to be captured on the PC version (based on the rhythm minigame they showed) but assuming it'll still be at least a little stable on most mobile devices it'll be pretty good.
Based on what I've seen it feels like a retread of Persona 5 in a lot of ways, it's not bringing anything new to the table, but it's pretty and looks like it runs well so I'm all for it. It'd be cool if it could get an international release.
Ohmygod, I can't wait for the release!! My theory for this is that this game is some sort of alternative universe born out of one of the bad ending in P5. (Tho I lean towards the Ally Ending, where Joker agreed to work with Yaldabaoth) Because of that, the fool is considered failed in his journey, and a new fool need to be chosen. Came our MC, who is given dream of the dark future ala Lavanza via his own attendant (or he's someone from the future that gets transported in time? The clip for his awakeningdoes mention a promise), and need to race against the Phantom Thieves before Joker mess things up once more, all the while trying to fool Fake Igor.
I seriously will spend money on persona if we can get a global release in the west and english VA would be incredible honestly id be still happy with japanese VA with subtitles because they are incredible
Theory time: Wonder used to be an assassin that specialize in using personas and dealing with persona users (like the strega in persona 3) but something happened to him that he lost his memory, that also explain why he forgot about the promise Luffy mentioned and can hear him talk despite never remembering having entered metaverse. (and also his lack of desire) This also make me wonder wut will happen to a wild card user if he or she is forced awakened through experiments like the Strega? Also that fighting choreography in the beginning is chef's kiss
0:50 that yellow cutie dog with the blinking eyes would make for a cute animal mascot :) and whoa! looks like something has happened to brings the persona 5 cast into along side this new cast
Great, more Phantom Thieves...If this continues, it will soon become a Phantom Army! Also...If they're going to keep adding more Phantom Thieves, then add Zenkichi and Sophia, I really want to know what their "All Out Attack" will be like
@@alexroth882 Considering all P5 console games streaming restrictions lifted in JP, Phantom X can go all out, in terms of characters and narrative direction. At least being a mobile project and live service has an advantage in terms of performance, QOL improvements and characters.
They are focusing a lot on What If Phantom thieves since the Main character can summon Phantoms of the person in the Seas of Souls. So they are not exactly the person themselves but a What If version if they were Phantom Thieves. This does give them a interesting opportunity to introduce other What If Phantom Thieves such as the Arcana characters. Imagine Takemi Tae and Kawakami Sadayo as Phantom Thieves.
Wow I actually hope it gets a worldwide release now that I know it is basically Persona 5 but with a Gacha system- as long as It’s like something like genshin where I hopefully can play the game without paying a dime it’ll just be a bit Grindy.
As much as I like Persona 5, I really want a Persona 6, and seeing Atlus constantly milk Persona 5 is getting boring. Especially since we're seeing all of these new gameplay mechanics and characters in P5x and P3R that makes me wonder why they don't just make a new Persona game with these assets.
Atlus isn't gonna stop making Persona just because they're milking P5 lmao. Just be patient. They always take their time with mainline installments and the wait is always worth it. Play other things while you wait. There are going to be too many RPGs to play this year anyways. Metaphor will have taken 8 damn years to make when it finally comes out and there was nothing but radio silence until last year. It is the same case with P6 and is how Atlus has always operated.
I really hate that there is still people who look down on gacha game/ mobile game, mobile game has been increasing in quality a lot, also not all gavha game are bad, some of them is really great and fun to play (and not trying to scam you) even tho the gacha rate is kinda bad from previous beta, I think this game will be really great
It's nothing to do with the quality. People just don't like having to win a lottery to get characters they want or worse, make decent progress in the story. I already see a red flag with the games enemies. There's several clips showing basic enemies taking triple digits worth of damage and their health barely lowers. Normal Persona games are nowhere near that obnoxious with basic enemy health pools. That already tells me you'll need to run your luck (and wallet) into the gacha to get anything remotely useful to push through the games damage sponge enemies. I wouldn't be surprised if each major update adds a new palace and a "legendary" character with a 0.3% chance of acquisition whos soul purpose is to get you through said palace before being nerfed just in time for the next.
Atlus. I think I speak for everyone when I say. *You're allowed to make an official sequel to Persona 5 if you want.* We're not going to stop you. I think the idea of the Phantom Theives helping a new cast of character as their mentors, training them to take over the title of Phantom Thieves is an awesome idea.
@@fraserodonnell7618 Nope. These are the public’s cognition of the Phantom Thieves, not shadow versions stemming from the people they are based off. Example: Cognitive Panther is how the public views her, not Ann herself. Whatever happens to that cognition doesn’t affect her in any way.
Probably the end of a tutorial section. The MC was fighting a cognition (or something ) of Joker. Makes me think of the end of FF7 Crisis Core's tutorial where Zach gets ambushed by a hologram of Sephiroth.
It's funny how a lot of the marketing for this game is so similar to Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes with P5X being an AU with the plot involving the old protagonist fighting against the new one. This is after Fire Emblem Three Hopes premise was EXACTLY the same as SMT4 Apocolypse. Random NPC who died off screen in the main game gets revived by a godly force and who's survival creates a butterfly effect that drastically changes the timeline. Persona 5 is in the same series as SMT4A. SMT > FE > SMT. It's all coming full circle. Shez cameo please?
Ah, so we're actually getting three Fools: Joker, Wonder, and ???. Because, with that amount of characters (like I know it's a gacha game, they could just handle it like FF7EC does it, but no), you can't tell me that the cognitive squad doesn't have their own leader.
Perfect World usually avoids shutting down games, they make it more and more P2W to milk the playerbase first. So even if it's "bad" it will live for at least 2 years as they are milking the players.
@@bigmight2358 Yes and no. They mentioned it take place in a parallel universe.Even the game is made by a Chinese company, their official channel on Bilibili released an interview with Altus and the early designs of the characters. Atlus is still in charge of the story and art, so😶
Guys, this is a mobile gacha game. It LOOKS cool, but it's another predatory gambling/lootbox game. There's no calendar, there's a cool down like candy crush. Don't let the highlight trailer fool you. It's designed to make you want to play the game
