This is my favorite video about the Saint Edge. You have a great way of explaining the great features of the rifle and I really like your showing the switching of the muzzle device - casually twisting it off like a bottle cap while steadying the reaction rod in a vise held down by your hand. Gives me the confidence to do the same.
Hey brother, Edge is a great shooter your review was factor to pick one up, like the mods you added. Enjoy your videos keep it up. Looks like you shoot out around maybe Initial Point area. Cheers brother Ret AFSOC guy
Every Edge is a Saint , but not every Saint is Edge. There are Saint Victor, and Saint Edge . The Edge version seems to be better than the Victor version.
Hello Man, i am looking to buy that Spring Field Muzzle brake, but Springfield has them out of stock at this time. Was hoping that if you aren't using i can buy from you? Would be sick man!
Very nice... Been seriously considering an AR-15 and got a chance to shoot a Saint. Unsure which it was, usually runs about 1k and was on sale at Sportsman's for $800. A friend picked one up and I shot ragged holes at 66 yards. Wish I had a chance to shoot a little further out. There wasn't a thing I didn't like about the gun. Clay, what is your take on buying something like that Saint Edge and doing a barrel swap to 300 BLK, suppressing and using for home defense with subsonic rounds? I saw your other video on short barreled ARs and you seem to like the 300 BLK for CQC. This would be a rifle I'd have the wife comfortable shooting. Would converting it over be a complete waste? Edit: I also see they offer a Saint pistol in 300 BLK for my exact purpose. Many choices. Also curious on your thoughts for home defense gun choices. Something the wife can handle.
get a spare upper in 300 AAC. Saint is mil spec pattern upper/lower, so any upper will fit. It drops right on the lower, and uses your same magazines/bolt. I do like 300 AAC, but not at the expense of not have a 5.56 gun. 556 is way more overall useful, and much cheaper to feed. Look at Hornady Sub-X for a home defense bullet in 300, they are the heat.
@@offthereservationtactical69 Thanks clay, that was exactly what I had planned to do. The Saint Pistol looks great but I wanted a fully functional 556 as I can easily hunt Caribou with it here too. So would I have any issues with a short say 9" barrel swapped on to the Saint as far as ATF goes. If it has a suppressor, does that count towards the barrel length? Or would either config be considered an SBR? Thanks for all you have, and continue to do Clay.
Great vid. Is it possible for you to put links in the description of all the add-ons you talk about in the vid, or at least a list of them? Some of the items are tough to hear what you’re calling them. Thanks in advance!
no sweat. this one is also wearing an Aimpoint Comp5, which is spendy but nice. flashlight is some model of surefire, but I recommend the scout light if you are buying once and crying once.
@@offthereservationtactical69 great video man! I'm considering buying an Edge. Does the rifle get excessively hot due to the pencil barrel? Has it been reliable for you?
Thank you for this video. 1 Question. 1. Do you suggest using a inch/pound torque screw driver when adding rails and handguard upgrades or will a regular screw driver or small wrench work?
I just got the Saint Edge Rifle. Just wondering if you've had any problems with the QD attachment point on either side of the adjustable stock not holding?
I need to know did you add those rail accessories or did it come built in? I’m trying to add a grip but I don’t know how to get a rail accessory without changing the hand guard to a quad
