@Poon Slaayer You don't have to worry about guerrillas unless you go to the middle of nowhere on the Amazon near Venezuela or go to the Darien rainforest... The problem about Colombia is that our geography is so crazy that the government can't really make presence over all of it's territory, hiper-remote areas have suffered, but cities are secure and even more developed if compared to Peru. Cartels from here where destroyed and dismantled decades ago! In fact, you might be more in danger of being a victim of carteles in southern US than here because the mexican cartels rule over the border and have many roots, large commerce and weapon deals in the US.
There is no way that I would watch 36 minutes video of somebody shopping for touristy things, I hate to shop myself, yet here I am watching this viking doing this and those minutes felt like 5.
It all started with the $0.30 street shave in India video to get me to discover this page. Loving the videos. This Peruvian series is my favorite, so interesting seeing these markets and locals. My girlfriend is peruvian so i plan on visiting peru one day
The peruvians are wonderful people. I have adopted 3 peruvian children from SOS Children Village in Arequipa. There are lots of poor people in Peru who needs help. I suggest that you go to the village Pisac. It is not so far from Cusco. The have a wonderful marked and the women wear fantastic hats. Harald will approve !
@@NobodyKnows-pi1lk If the Spaniards had not colonized Latin America there would be no native people left like in North America! Have you thought about it?
i do it sometimes as well (if they dont start with a ridiculous price)... it makes them happy and for us (europeans/well off societies) the amount is not alot :)
He's said in the past that he haggles otherwise it's spread quickly that the foreigner overpays. Doing it this way, they know he's not dumb and he'll tip if your nice!
Now I know why so many people are waiting for your new uploads. Am addicted. For you language is not a hindrance that's what I saw. Your smile makes all the difference. By the way You're a great shopper & good bargainer too 😃 thanks love the content 👌🙌
Those are a "mestizo" type hats. It is used in the andean region of South America and it represents the hispanic hats with an andean touch. It's used by our andean cowboys in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and some parts of Colombia and Argentina.
you know what harald, thank you for making these videos and putting them out. and making it your lifestyle travelling and vlogging. compared to a common/typical life in one city. thanks for showing us the world. i appreciate you man.
He actually wanted a keychain and he seemed to like it.. he just misunderstood the lady when she said (llaverito) that translates to little keychain.. he translated it to laverinto that means labyrinth. 🤣🤦♂️
great job harald..u see the expression from the little girl.. 😊she always dream it to buy this condor..and one day she find a angel who does buy it to her😂....🙏🏻. God bless u
Hi Harald, the Llama & the Alpaca are not the same animal - but are closely related (& can interbreed) . Llamas are bred for as work animals/meat & wool, whereas Alpaca being smaller are 90% just for their wool - which is very soft.
Ireyon Moya that's because all types of hat in South America are somehow related with each other. This hat is more andean type, and the gaucho one is more hispanic from the argentinian pampas.
I’m traveling to Peru next month and have been watching all your videos. Subscribed! You’re entertaining, I love your sense of humor and very informative. Thank you for the work that you do. ❤
I agree, I want everything also! I love the wooden round bowl with cover the most. I enjoy this channel immensely and. I love you also. You make me laugh while healing in the hospital.
Harald will have memories for whole life. An ordinary mortal from his office will never go to this adventure. people can eto earn millions but with their money they will never to optaine this experience. I respect Harald.
Harald , you are a sweet man . You were so nice to the vendors ! I like that about you ! I watch all your videos from the USA 🇺🇸 Thank you for sharing your travels !
Agree. Wasn't bad price it really comes down to the construction of the garments at the end of day. As long as the are made properly they can last long.
@@rudyfromhouston8811 I don't mean to be mean or insult anyone. I'm just sceptical when it comes to them saying "It's handmade" when it's so cheap. Would I be wrong in suspecting they are made in factories and then sold off as hand-made ?
The lady with the axe wasn't selling it she was saying pay my price. :-) The shopkeepers there were so nice and customer orientated! I cry when I think you left Jeff in Bolivia! "Jeff is dead but he is happy!" That was cold bro! :-) Your videos are always captivating and entertaining! Thank you!
I really enjoyed your videos, it’s a great experience that you will never forget. I also believe that it’s a great help to speak Spanish because you can comunícate. Thank you so much for visiting Peru and for helping the people, you are very kind.👍🏻👏👏👏😊🇵🇪
I normally don't comment on videos a lot but as a fellow world traveler, I must say that I am very impressed with your patience and generosity with these amazing Peruvian people. You have just made me add Peru to my travel bucket list.
Awesome Harald! Love the way you help out these people. They are innocent and hardworking locals. Yes you may easily get a 25% discount at any place but if your bargain hard you can get 40% discount depending on your skills and luck. But yeah it’s always good to help these people. Try a meal at the Cicciolina Restaurant in Cusco. That’s a famous place. And visit the disco that teaches foreign tourist to dance salsa which is fun. I have lived in Peru for a while and done a bit of travelling. One of the tip I would give you is to give respect to their cultural icons like Tumi, Pachamama, and all that. If you notice every pattern, design and shapes have a meaning or represents something from the Peruvian incan culture. The culture and history is very rich over there. People are always kind and nice most of the time. If you are heading to Lima city please visit the “Inka Plaza” in Miraflores and go to store number 255. I’d like to introduce that store person who was very helpful when I visited the market. Peru is heaven - enjoy it !
Great video, you bargain with the vendors for the video and it seems like u want to support this small business owners that's why u buy all these items. U r always helping which is great.
