Fast travel definitely moves time faster than if you were to run there yourself. It also just goes by roads and never takes shortcuts either. Also, I was happy when I got my horse upgrade too! So much faster and way more stamina. It made me ride from place to place a lot more than before I got the upgrade for sure.
You can get Cobwebs from chests, mostly the ones outside in barns and workshops. They have low level locks so are a good way of levelling Lockpicking. The Cobwebs briefly count as stolen but clear quickly and morally counts as cleaning rather than theft. The Merhojed attack happens regardless of your actions but unfortunately that 2nd burned out Farm, the one where you previously found Timmy, only happened because you told them to take all the guards. I believe it's the only effect of that choice.
Hahaha that’s so funny I have to steal cobwebs from chests 😂😂 I’ll go look for something, a good way to train up my lockpicking too Awwww noooo I knew taking all the guards would have consequences :(( there were so many dead there. I feel awful!
Yay, no timed quests from here on. Either now or inbetween the next couple of main quests is a good time to do every available sidetask including all the DLCs - maybe 3 missions from now the main quest pace will flow in such a way it would be implausible to take time for anything else, while for now we can imagine it takes 1-2 weeks per each clue we uncover or person we speak to. You will reach a point when the game outright warns you it's endgame and to be sure if you'd like to go on, as several sidequests will fail or be unavailable to pick up past that point - that's the last possible moment you can turn around to do other things. There's an interesting one in Talmberg which involves more than it looks, more to do with Fritz and Matthew (they're at the Glade Inn), some random once you can find via the innkeepers. You've completed maybe 2/3s or 3/4s of them all DLCs excluded.
I love these story flow advice from you! It really does give me the best experience getting non spoilery advice like this, thank you! I can’t believe I’m that far through side quests already! I’ll do a little more of the main quest, then back to side quests and to rebuilding that town! I really want to hit up the tourney again and try my luck once more.
Sorry to hijack topic but Dawnwhisper on youtube has dropped a vid focusing nearly 100% on char creator and very little on "stuff". My mind is made up but you might appreciate it. Dawnwhisper is part of the EA superfans group they flew in, but she actually showed off options and actually made a not so bad Qunari
Awww even if the game is not for you, that was so incredibly thoughtful of you to let me know about it. I’m excited to see the character creation! I’m not going to watch it though because I want to be surprised on release 🤍
@@heyamarii lol apparently so. Also yes, fast travel takes more time. I think a lot of it is because they tied the fast travel to pc and hard drive speeds so they have time to load the new area etc.
22:29 far as I’m aware this all happens regardless of how many soldiers you sent to the battle. Last vid I think this was called a retaliation move for the battle
Ok, I was raised in a religion that frowned upon dancing. We had a joke that went "Why do we only make love in the dark?" answer "We don't want God to think we are dancing."
It was the guilt!! I thought this town fell victim to the raiders because I summoned too many soldiers to that last battle haha I only just found out that this happens regardless 😂
@@heyamarii That's exactly what an imposter would say, but I'll let it slide because you're finishing quests without getting sidetracked as much as she does 🤣
@@heyamarii LOL. That is true. To be fair though, there did turn out to be a lot of bandits at that battle and they were really well armed. If you would have gone the other way and chosen too few soldiers then everyone would have died.
@Duskwind_ someone in the comments explained that telling Sir Radzig how many bandits there were, is kinda like choosing your own difficulty setting. It’s clever! You can make the battle harder on yourself or not which is cool. More soldiers may die though unless you’re an exceptionally skilled fighter. Had I known all of this, I wouldn’t have had all that guilt on my shoulders haha
@@heyamarii Seriously though, good job. So many things could have gone terribly wrong, and you figured them out on your first playthrough. Btw, you are now ready for Johanka's story in Woman's Lot DLC, whenever you feel like it. It's some of the best writing I've seen in a video game with stakes sky high.
@marianpetera8436 woah there’s a part 2 to Woman’s Lot?! We get one of Johanka? Yessss I actually quite like Johanka. I didn’t know she had her own storyline we can play as
@@heyamarii You will play as Henry, but Johanka will be in the center of events. When she returns to the monastery, you can talk to her, you'll see the blue ish DLC marker.
Eh, more like you can try to convince the knob to go back and see his pops once more, but the outcome would probably be the same. A useless good for nothing returning for a quick visit once wouldn't be enough to fix anything, just makes us look like someone who gets needlessly involved in people's affairs.
@@Nast33 well, vincent glad he came back. its not only quick visit, he stay at vincent house and also help working in the farm. true it wouldnt be enough to fix anything but everything start from somewhere. its good enough for me.
This is a tricky one! I had considered letting the son know briefly, but families are complicated and I never know how deep the cuts run. Of course I would love to have the entire family back together and get on, but sometimes that isn’t the case and it just makes me an imposition.
Huh? When did you get that arm plate harness, weren't you still using the vambraces at the end of last episode? Only plat chausses missing for a full suit now. :) Fast travel actually simulates Henry walking, if you're on a horse it's a bit faster and takes less time. Also good to be on horseback to evade possible attackers more quickly imo. You were so worried you misdiagnosed them haha :D well done
I picked it up in the battle at Priby! I didn’t realise it was in my bag until I was at the traders selling stuff hehe I am almost a full knight! 😁 I get worried harming people! Even if they’re a bunch of pixels hehe I would feel so much more guilty. Especially since, at the time, I thought the raid on Merhojed happened because I took too many soldiers with me to Pribyslavitz. I didn’t realise that this happens regardless lol
@@heyamarii Ah makes sense, I assumed so. Henry looking menacing now. Yeah I love that. It was just funny how you kept doubting yourself and quadruple checking when I thought it was pretty clear cut. But then again, I know the quest.
Henry’s helmet has such a cute little white and red cord around the top. Makes him look festive 😂 I need a helmet that’s less cute, more tough guy. I really sat there reading it over and over. I was scared of killing that entire town. If the plague didn’t get em, I would 😂
@@heyamarii I like the little wreath :D Keep a lookout, there's not too many better than this one in the game. Amari in town with chemical warfare in tow eh? lol
@Bassalicious unintentional chemical warfare 😂 force feeding peasants with a cure when it’s actually just more poison lol I do like my helmet a lot! It just sucks the visor doesn’t come up when talking to people. I guess I should remove it for interactions, but it’s not something I think about when I’m playing since I have full view when walking around
If you sell to the same vendor again and again and full out they increase their funds the next day. The Butcher in Ratay has like 35k at the start of the day in my game cause I would just sell again and again to her.
You're such a badass Henry and pretend to be a good Henry 🤣 First you gave the cure only to the prisoner (so beeing selfish af) and not to one of the regular people. Then you avoided to reunite the father and the son by directly fulfill his "last will" without even trying to speak to the son. 😅 That's not what I would call a good Henry. 🤭 More like an "all about me" Henry. 😉 EDIT: Yes fast travel lasts longer then a regular ride. Can try it out if you look how late it is when you leave and when you arrive over just a short distance from Talmberg to Merhojed for example and then travel the same again with fast travel.
I honestly didn’t know who to give the cure to 😂 it took me ages to figure out it was only to the ones that I was able to talk to. But they all lived! Yahoooo!
@@heyamarii Yeah they live but the father and son still don't talk to each other 😞 If you had asked for the son first it would be an easy speach challenge to make him return to his now no more dying father 🤷♂
