Jenny is given a lot of flak, but she seems to make investments and generally see them through. She makes fewer offers and has a higher success rate. This one and the truck ads kid stand out in mind.

Used to work in spoons and they stocked this gin, must be doing well.

It’s kind of smart though. They could replicate this all over, naming liquor after different towns and cities.

So can anyone else, many have tried, many have failed, they even discussed this in the video.

To be fair, it would be utter madness to have an idea of a local gin, then your first step is to open a distillery and find out how to distill gin. Makes much more sense to use a contract distillery to sound out the market. So that first step is not a bad one. As the Dragons pointed out, they need to start distilling for themselves asap.

@@Locutus Not happening. Jenny's £75k isn't doing much other than gaining her a third of the shares. They have managed to increase this to around half a million pound of investment... all they need is their financing facility to deal with the outsourced contracts costs and fulfilling any supermarket orders, as when their income rolls in for sold stock they simply pay off the finance. They don't have an office and the two founders work from home. You can obviously set up a very DIY distillery for much closer to nothing but to purpose build or to refurbish an existing building for a distillery is going to be pretty pricey. Also, HMRC are a PITA to deal with and get a licence. I believe they subcontract out to Manchester Gin.

Totally agree with you. I live in Mexico and therefore I watch shark tank Mexico and it has the best investors in Latin America and is highly entertaining, nothing compares to dragons den. Less dramatic but, just better, don't know exactly why.

I'm not sure who you think has a posh English accent. None of the Dragons in this clip. Not Theo, not Duncan, James Caan is very well-spoken, Nick Jenkins might be a bit posh. In general these are all self-made millionaires. The accent is very much NOT on posh. Also, old heritage? A disused factory? What are you on about?

It's true though. The Gin is not from there and it was something.they had to discover. BUT they did really well and got a deal, and they will find themselves very wealthy now. No worries.

That's a bad faith act and it's common on a lot of their videos. Furthermore, this video will live on here forever. Regardless of when they move the distillery to Didsbury, this will show up when people search their name. It's a petty and unnecessary shot at a couple of guys trying to make something from nothing.
