I had the privilege of seeing Peter Frampton do a show in a small club back in '94 or '95 where I had a seat just above the stage and about 30 feet away from where Frampton performed. It was the finest rock music experience I've ever had, and the most lasting impression I took away from it was the total joy and enthusiasm that Peter showed for the entire show - he gave it everything he had and he never stopped smiling the whole time. It's so rare to witness an artist perform a labor of love like that.

Got to see the David Bowie "Glass Spider" tour at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa. in July 1987, from the fourth row. And seeing Peter Frampton stride out onto the stage and start playing his Guitar was, for me, the highlight of the concert. You could see he was really enjoying the moment, and he was playing great, so it was good for everyone who was there.

Bowie was a class act! And he had one of most iconic voices in Rock! He and Freddie Mercury singing together was quite special. Having Frampton play guitar with him on tour was a testament to his respect for a legendary guitarist.

As a teen in the ‘70s I clearly remember when “Frampton comes alive” came out, and the hoopla surrounding it. None of us had ever heard of him, so he truly came out of nowhere, and then seemingly back from whence he came, nowhere. Everything was word-of-mouth & peer reviewed then. Yes, I bought the album and loved it. I think it was the 3rd album I ever bought; the first being “Genesis Live” for $1.98 at a local convenience store. What a different and magnificent world through nearly every measure (but not every) we live in today. Thanks for this, cheers 👍

I saw him at the paradise..years ago..I was there with my girlfriend and her sister at the time. We used to greet each other by giving each other headbutts.. I was standing right in front of Peter and the sister had a few drinks. She gave me a hard headbutt. It sounded like banging 2 coconuts together.. Peter saw this and stopped playing and looked at me like "are you ok?? I laughed and said yeah man..she does that all the time.. He laughed and started playing again...didn't miss a beat.. So funny..seemed like a great guy..
@kencoleman5007

@kevinflynn4519 He still is. Being in the space with him live (his 2023 Boston show was at the MGM Fenway next to the stadium), you just how genuine he is about his love for performing among the audience. He was seated on a stage that protruded a little into the GA section. He'd share little anecdotes where he takes his nerve condition in stride. There were digitatized "liquid light" projections as he played a setlist including "Black Hole Sun" (which closes with a tribute to Chris Cornell). When he starts adlibbing his guitar vocalization, you see just how much analog talent goes into his reshaping that guitar audio into syllables. I saw Letters to Cleo and the Giggolo Aunts at the Paradise in the fall. Very fun show. People were geeking out about the songs on the Green Line afterward.

A Big part of the reason I went to see The Glass Spider show was because I knew Peter was going to be in David Bowie s band, his solo on the outro to Loving the Alien was one of the greatest highlights of the night . I was at one of the filmed Sydney shows that is on the DVD my friends brother worked @ Ticketek and got us fantastic seats about 15 rows back on the floor awesome night !

Have seen Peter many times starting with his tour to promote the live album. He is the most Gracious performer I've ever seen not to mention his talent. I was at his 35th anniversary tour at Pine Nob. The starting time was 7:30 pm. He began on time and was half way through his first song when a group of front row center folks hustled in and looked exasperated, He stopped I was close enough to hear the exchange they where surprised he didn't have an opening act. He giggled and said its billed an evening with Peter Frampton! And said folks do you think it would be ok if I started from the top? Cheers and laughter and He played for us till 11:15 and apologized for ending the show because of the outdoor venue's noise curfew. God Bless you Pete.

I met Carlos Alomar a couple of years ago. He is an incredible fella. He's gave a talk at a Bowie tribute conference and has an aura about him which just makes you sit and listen with amazing concenration. He was walking around afterwards, just talking to people. The closest I can describe him would be like a buddhist monk walking amongst believers. Very spiritual. Yet, I'm not in the least spiritual. But he could have talked me into shaving my head and wearing an orange robe 😄

I’m ok with someone having a shorter span of greatness creatively and then carrying that forward with continued and relentless excellence. Frampton Comes Alive is without question one of the great albums and rock experiences ever. It was and is bigger then life. I saw him in concert two years ago when he announced he was going to quit regular touring do to his nerve condition. He was amazing. No doubt he is a legend and as humble as they come which is the great part of old school. It’s just that they all back then got ripped off and should have made a ton more money then they did. But the world can be very predatory. But that humbleness I miss. Now ‘stars’ all seem to think they’re all that. I guess that’s what money and constant social media attention do to you. Sort of damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Anyway rock may be dead creatively but it’s legendary music and influence lives on.

I saw Peter & David on the Glass Spider Tour Auckland 1987 at Western Springs Stadium, I think I remember Frampton suspended over the crowd on some sort of diving board thing, doing the opening break to 'Do You Feel Like We Do, and Bowie on his throne birthed from the womb of the enormous spider covering the stage scaffold. Unfortunately I missed the Serious Moonlight concert at Western Springs 40 years ago, on 26 November 1983. one of Aotearoa's largest concerts, with a crowd of well over 80,000. Peter rocks on and Bowie has changed, fear not he will never, ever, die, he just cant play anymore concerts.
