Iam a Rangers man, but I would have had Peter Grant in my team any day of the week. One of the most underrated Scottish footballer's of the modern era. He loves Celtic just as much as I love Rangers. That is why i can identify with him.

As an older fan who never grew up with the delights of Rebel Trebles, Peter Grant was one of the many players that represented us through some bad times. He was a limited player when compared to McStay or Collins in midfield but he had desire and heart. Guys like him are Celtic, not Van Hooijdonk or Di Canio. They fucked off for the better deal while we struggled against Rangers.

A kicker, hatchet man - never a footballer. A thug on the park. Want me to point out all the games he lost us due to his thug attitude? OK he did help us win a couple of games (with real footballers to help him) but he lost us way more than he won. I never doubted his desire to do his best for Celtic but he was never an intelligent footballer never mind an intelligent human being. He has perhaps learned lessons now, but why didn't he learn them earlier?
