I'll forever be grateful to this man for sticking with the club during the dark days of the 90s he deserved to play at a higher level but the club was in his blood proper legend
Rangers fan here, Paul Mcstay was tremendous player, was the one Celtic player we feared the most in the 80’s mid 90’s, he had a natural ability, Gazza was the same, he should’ve tried Italy or Germany he was suited to that style of play and would’ve been a legend wherever he went to, definitely no bad word to say about PM
A real club legend! Could have went anywhere, but choose to stay with the club he loves, his whole career. KT will NEVER be remembered the way the maestro will
@@Delboy-hi1ld The game and the world has changed. KT left when we are the dominant force and I can't blame him. Good luck to the lad. When the Maestro played for us we were in decline, but he stayed. He is a Legend. He is remembered in our songs and rightly so. Tierney left to prove himself, fair play to him. He did not do a DiCanio or Van Hooijdonk when we needed them. I personally dislike both players due to their actions. Tierney has done more for Celtic than both of them.
channelbizt To be honest, Arsenal are a big opportunity for Tierney. We all know the boy deserves to play at the highest level, and one good season at Arsenal will earn him a move to a top European side. We have a good enough squad to win 10IAR without him, and he earned us a good amount of money with which we can build for the future. People need to stop acting as if he has renounced his support for the club, when he is just making the best move for his career.
Kevin Devlin it been and played Celtic since 7 yrs old.. he filled his dreams.. how many time u want play Hamilton and Kilmarnock etc.. it was his time to move on to bigger things ie Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea even I’d get bored tbh
Watched Paul grow from a young bhoy to the man we all love the guy could've played in any league in the world & became a superstar but no he stayed loyal to the club he loved & I for 1 is eternily grateful the did a true club legend
All this is priceless McStay Billy Connelly Tommy Burns & all TIMS doesn't get any better than that must tell you something about the heritage the Celtic genes who's like us
What a player Fken absolutely a legend gave his all paul and Henrik r what Celtic about bring on Stevie g he dose not know what the fk green and white about Brendan stays ur fkd our day will come
Great servant for celtic , Pity his first championship medal was a fix as St mirren lied down and let celtic score the five goals needed , They should have been thrown out the league , Hearts should have been crowned champions but they blew it themselves and with help from St mirren celtic snatched it ,. Wouldn't get away with that nowadays , Back to mcstay what would he be worth in todays market????, A great midfielder and good eye for goal a celtic legend and great for Scotland too , Why does scotland not produce this type of player now .
Stuffin nonsense about St Mirren on 03/05/86. They played significantly better than the score suggests and forced defending from Celtic and saves from Bonner in the early stages. It was only after Celtic's second that we took compete control, and no one in Scotland would have lived with us after that.
up there with the worst as a captain ,,,,shat it at ibrox against raith rovers,,,, disappeared for weeks on end him n burns during 83 84 85 seasons cost us dearly,,,,, ....stan petrov was more a player .........
