Later Mac was great for the times,but I am with you here. This was a legendary band. Actually there were 2 different bands. These guys were Great

This is the band but i love the Danny Kirwan time frame also, not big sellers but i loved them then too. Danny played and wrote some dang fine tunes but they didnt get the push form the company,that they later got with Warners.

I am a huge 70's Fleetwood Mac fan and I always knew they used to be a British Blues band, but just recently started listening to these first albums ... and OMG, I absolute LOVE this! I have bought 4 of the earlier albums just this last week and cannot stop listening to them. Green, Kirwin, Spencer, and Welch ... wow. Tech has ruined music.

Discovering more historical live material from the original Mac is like golddust, particularly a moving version of "Man of the World" which I didn't think was part of the live repetoire. There's also a gem of a cover of BB King's "Got a Mind to Give up living" which features his piercing and beautiful tone. Rest in peace, Peter Green, a very special talent.

Fleetwood Mac did not appear in Helsinki on September 24, 1969, although so many sources claim. The band appeared at the Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki three times, 22 November 1968, 31 March 1969 and November 11, 1969. On the last day there were two concerts, at 19 and 21:15. This recording was made on the concert of 11 November 1969 at 21:15.

Never heard The Mac do Man of The World live . Peter once said they never played it live .

I was present at that concert, it's too bad that the photos I took of it have been lost over the years. The amplifiers were big Fenders, except John had an Orange bass amplifier and 2 big cabinets - the guys played very loud.

Danny came in too early on “OH WELL” must have been too stoned or drunk or both lol still great love that we get to hear some of these mistake only makes us human.
