I adore Beatrix Potter. I’m older than dirt but still re-read her books along with wind in the willows. For a short time I have no problems or cares when I’m reading them and I am a child again. Thanks for reminding me !

I like johnny jump ups too. I once saw a cake at a cake walk that was two layers of dark chocolate cake and had a beautiful pastel yellow icing and then they jelled several johnny jumpups and leaves and put them on top. It was so beautiful.

I hope it is ok to mention a channel I think you'd enjoy, Tessie...or perhaps you already follow Jeri Landers of Hopalong Hollow. Her channel is quite different than yours and not as frequent. I love your daily encouragements...I've needed this boost from you. Jeri recently did one featuring "having tea with Beatrix Potter" and makes the wool felted rabbits herself!! She talks about Beatrix in it. Love this video! Thanks again for the inspiration! You are keeping this old gal busy with all your wonderful ideas.

Hi Tessie, thank you for sharing this seed planting tutorial! I already have a bunch of the plastic bonnets on hand, now I need to buy a few plastic bowls and some seed packets! This will be a fun project to share with my seven year old granddaughter. 🌿🎋🌼🌸🌞 I’ve always been a fan of Peter Rabbit 🐇! It may be because when I was a child we had rabbits and chickens. As an adult, I also had pet rabbits for several years. The last pet rabbit we had followed my husband around the yard like a puppy!

I love planted pansy ever year, I love the pepper taste it gives to salads. I use to also planted Johnny jump ups too. Not many people down here call them johnny jump ups. I miss have a big garden. My parsley would stay around till middle of January. I also planted one row of collards I will plant two tomatoes, cucumbers and squash. This is my first garden season here. I hope I get something out of my efforts. Can you believe another weekend will be here, times flys by. I have a blessed one.✌💖👍

Tessie, I don’t know that I’ve ever commented before but I’ve been watching your channel for awhile now. I am learning so much from you! I just cannot tell you how much I loved this video! I absolutely love Beatrix Potter and all her darling stories. I have a collection of her books and have dreamed of having beautiful gardens like hers. I do love Peter Rabbit and I saw the last move that was put out 1to2 years ago at my grandsons house(they had cable TV movies) this video in the Peter Rabbit garden play taught me about the bowls and showed caps to start seeds. Thank you.💙👍

I love this series Tessie! I decided a few months ago that this year, instead of just planting flowers, I’m going to plant just a few vegetables. I only have a very small spot, so I can’t grow much, but it’s just me anyway, so I only have to feed myself! I think I’ll plant a few herbs, too; you’ve inspired me! Much love to you! 🥰

Hello Wendy, even with a small garden you can grow some vegetables. A few tomato plants, some swich chard plants (you can harvest them several times in a season) or some runnerbeans doesn't require a lot of space and it's fun to do. I downsized my kitchengarden, because I didn't needed that much too. I produced more than needed. In other words I was giving away a lot of stuff. And since my back is playing tricks on me, it is a lot wiser this way. Good luck and happy gardening!

I'm a daily visitor of this channel, so if you need some advice or help, don't hesitate to ask :) Some vegetables are eachother friends and some are enemies and those last ones isn't what you want. Onions next to carrots is good, but don't plant tomatoes next to potatoes (If one of those get sick, there is a chance that the other one get sick too). Today I bought 'root parsley' which is excellent for a small garden, you can use the green just like normal parsley, but they have roots and you can roast them or just adding to your soup or stew. It is just one of the examples that is very usable in a small garden :)

@@wendymathews1030 well a few poles make a lot of difference when you want some beans, they are more productive and less vulnerable for mold. But it has another benefit, you can create a bit shadow for the broccoli, too much sun or dry makes broccoli starting to bloom very quickly. Carrots are always a good choice in a small garden, because they don't need a lot of space and you can get easily pounds from it.

Love flowers. I have a neat one in the top corner of my front yard. I get so much pleasure from it and love sitting out side and enjoying all the pretty flowers. Some come back year aftervyear. Just have to keep the weeds out and keep them watered..love this video.and who doesent like peter rabbit

This is going to be such a fun series! I need to try starting some flower seeds in the bowls. I always have lots of vegetables, but no flowers. So far I've never had much luck with flowers, but I always sow directly into the ground, or spend way too much money buying plants that wind up dying. Fingers crossed that I can get some results using those bowls :)

What a great idea! I usually just do direct seeding for a lot of stuff or use leftover starter plants from the organic farm I work at seasonally. One thing I’ve found is the garden needs to be watered day and night. Some stuff is less successful if only watered once a day. That’s one reason why I like herbs so much is you can neglect them and not water regularly and they still do super well. I transplanted a type of bamboo from my grandmas house and put it on the side of my parents house. Can’t wait for it to start growing. Also have a gooseberry bush I planted in the fall that I had ordered online that will hopefully come up.

Tessie I'm loving this garden planting series that is one thing I can do I will give it a go:) Good tip on using shower caps for the bowls:) So far I have my Marigolds growing I'm going to get to planting Morning Glories and some herbs going to look for Johnny Jumpup's too:) Loved Peter rabbit growing up:) Next time I'm in the thrift store I'll look for those books:) Great planting series look forward to many more:)Spring is right around the corner just wish this rain would stop enough for me to get the garden ready:) Love you my sister:) God Bless you and Ken:)

Love this video! Your instructions are so clear and the uses of the herbs is a great addition. I love Beatrix Potter. I have a copy of her journal which has several interactive items inside such as a map you can open, envelopes with copies of letters inside, and it has a small book at the back you can take out and read "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". Just love it. I will be saving this series to my saved videos. Have a blessed day.
