I'm speechless. Bob pulled out a Steve Lukather like solo and that's some compliment! Ronny did a great show and Louie nailed it with perfectly executed rhythms. Petra was and still is the best music ministry EVER. They remained true to what they believed and NEVER ever let the message they carried fade behind obscure wording. THanks God for them.
Louie is inspired me too.He is a great drummer. Now,he's with the band named Viktor, and they have a record.Right now He' also working for the Project Damage Control's second cd.
awesome video!!! great solos, Petra never ceases to amaze me, it's such a shame :( I'd never seen them live, only in video, the couple of live albums and the few bootlegs. thank you very much for upload this video
After seeing this video, I realize Ronnie Cates is alot better at playing bass than some give him credit for. Sure he's not one of the all time greats, but that was a great bass solo he did.
Are you a guitarist yourself? I am an I always play less than 20% of my ability. Labels, producers, genres, fans e.t.c always have a way of limiting a players ability. This is just a teaser. Give the guy a studded belt and a Metal label and he'll blow you away. check out some of Petra's Metal-like albums eg Jekyll n Hyde and Unseen power, Beyond Belief and On fire on youtube you'll be pleasantly surprised. They don't have many solos but have meaty riffs and aggressive leads with serious rythms
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DX92oKySB5M.html. I love Ronny and no disrespect but my vote is AL is the best Christian bass player ever.... correction, the beat bass player ever 👍
Well. That's very very debatable. Most guitarist play well below their abilities e.g. Eric Clapton etc etc. One solo is not enough to judge a guitarist- are we together? Plus this guy was playing guitar professionally while dragonforce guys were being weaned off mama's milk.
