Travel video about nature park Petrified Forest in The USA.
The Petrified Forest National Park is located in Arizona in the USA.Long ago the region was covered by a dense forest and mighty rivers cut across the terrain. Water caused by heavy flooding forced dead trees to float to a low lying swampland. In the deep quagmire of the swamp and having, in effect, been hermitically sealed, the trees were subsequently covered by layers of sediment. Thus their further decomposition was halted. As the trees piled deeper and deeper into the swamp the petrification process began. Mud, sand and volcanic ash settled above the trees that gradually absorbed minerals from the surrounding moisture. Thus, hundreds of fossilised trunks developed that today are scattered across the prairie. Today, the Petrified Forest’s formerly tall conifers are the most common examples of this stone world of plants that dates back to prehistory. The numerous colours of the pure quartz and various other varieties of the “stone trees” are quite remarkable and in stark contrast to the bright blue of the mostly cloudless sky. Most impressive is the millions of years old geologic phenomenon of the stone forest in the southern region that is situated only two kilometres from the entrance to the national park. In the Long Logs area that is located close to Giant Logs, there are hundreds of thousands of fossilised specimens. There are around three hundred archaeological sites in the park that range from small discoveries that have uncovered items of clay, to the incredible Pueblo dwellings of the Anasazi Indians. The Petrified Forest National Park combines the majestic brilliance of its petrifaction with the rugged beauty of a colourful desert. It is, without doubt, a unique masterpiece of Nature.

I went to this place in 1970 with my mom and sister. It was so beautiful. The trees look amazing. My mom loved the place and it's a fond memory for me. Thanks for the video.

thank you for making and posting this. just one correction: these trees did not all fall and get carried away to a swamp to be buried and fossilized. Many many of them still stand on their own roots,, meaning they were flooded and buried as they stood and were alive at the time of burial.

Amazingly giant forest trees once stood on that plain with foliage...and giant forest creatures too...to go back in time and visit such times..to be an observer for as long as one would want, to witness what life was like then, and go unnoticed...what a fastenating thought... all thats left is to the imagination now.

the petrified forest has some of the most spectacular formations of petrified wood I've seen and to have whole trees petrified is amazing. I am fortunate to own some Dobell ranch petrified wood (Dobell petrified wood is very close to this as getting your hands on actually petrified wood from there is very difficult to impossible) The agatization of much of the petrified wood is also very special, this doesn't happen as often as one would think.

hangman1128 channel goes into detail, he spent several years traveling and documenting every national park. His findings are amazing! Not what you will find on mainstream, but the parts hidden from weather that were more preserved.

One correction: Petrified Forest has not been in existence for millions of years. The park is on a plateau above the Chinle formation, and every time the place gets a gully washer extensive damage results. The park has gone to great lengths to keep petrified logs from washing down gullies or breaking as erosion undermines them. The plateau is essentially a very soft conglomerate sandstone that is easily broken up with pick and shovel, and even rainwater can cause it to disintegrate. Before the park was instituted, agate scavengers had picked the plateau clean to the point where virtually no exposed petrified wood could be found. Everything a tourist sees today has been exposed in the last 80 years or so.

those are branches twigs look at the plateau in the background that was the tree find a half inch round twig that has been dried out I mean really dry don't pick it up just take your heel and stomp on it gently pick up your heel and examine the twig it will be broken into multiple pieces but it will still be in line some of the fragments will be split straight up and down some will have a Jagged Edge but that twig will be split just like these pieces are. now look at the base of the tree where the twig fell from examine it structure kneel down and look at the base where it disappears into the Earth imagine it cut off inches above the Earth and while still kneeling look up look up and pay attention and examine that tree and was outstanding look back down at Twigs that you stepped on repeat this process a couple of times and then look back at the images of the Petrified Forest are there any similarities

That's what I don't understand. Why do most of the trees appear to have been sawn down to stumps and cut into logs? Trees that fall naturally usually splinter while these appear to have been cleanly cut into sections.

I don't think they were silicon based, but the great flood and the pressure crystallized them. Each mountain, just look at what specific tree is abundant in that area, on that mountain and that is the type of tree it was. Giant cedar trees, giant pine trees, etc were described in scriptures. There is a 2 mile high ice wall that extends vastly south. That is where the flood waters are held.

So how do they actually know for sure that what theyre dating as being so many years old is actually correct? Carbon dating is not an exact science if that's what they're going by and so they pretty much have to make a calculated guess that it's millions of years old or hundreds of millions of years old?

I don't believe this. In looking at some of the photos that's being shown shows tree stumps with roots in the ground. Others were chopped down right there and fell. To he cause of the change to stone is still a mystery to me. This was not a swamp.

Dude.... That is a foot buried in the ground from the flood with the Achilles Tendon surviving. The achillies tendon wouldn't dissolve in the salty water but only petrified hard as stone. It is now calcium carbonates or basalts or granite. We are in dire need of real education pr removal of the cataracts that blinds our understanding. All lands above the oceanic water's are the dead petrified body's of creatures that died during the flood and they were miles tall.
