We agree that there are situations where you want your dog to bark. Bark Control Systems are for those times that you don’t. For example, excessive barking that disturbs neighbours. There are situations where bark control is not suitable, in dogs under 6 months, pregnant or nursing bitches, dogs with health problems, dogs with aggressive tendencies or dogs with anxiety disorders for example.
i agree that this is a more suitable method to break a dogs excessive barking habit. It is much more humane then those awful shock collars. I would never use a shock collar on my dog.
Dog's learn by association, not by reasoning, even adult dogs. Also, since your children are usually supervised all the time, but your dog is not, there needs to be a deterrent in place to discourage the barking, particularly for dogs that seem unable to control their barking habits (I.E. they bark at everything, or bark at most stimuli).
It is the ability of Bark Control to 'interrupt' a dog's excessive barking that makes them valuable social tools. However, we do recommend that they are introduced slowly and carefully according to the instructions. If you want to find further information on this subject, please visit our website and download our Bark Control education leaflet.
Some dogs only bark when someone's at the door. Others bark at fucking everything, and they do it when you aren't home, and the neighbors complain. The reasons for this device aren't as small as your mind.
I am totally against this what is the dog suppose to do if someone breaks into your house, or if their is a fire your dogs bark for a reason (sometimes)
