I went and attended a training camp practice going into his second year in Denver. I remember leaning over to my brother when the scrimmage started and said, “I want to see Peyton get mad.” Oh man did I get my wish. Ronnie Hillman ran the wrong route which caused him to throw an interception. Peyton went off. “We don’t know what the f***k we’re doing!” He ripped his helmet off and scolded Ronnie on the sideline. “If you don’t know the play Ronnie all you have to do is ask! Don’t guess!” Poor Ronnie looked like he wanted to crawl into a hole. There were thousands of fans there that saw all of it. After Peyton cooled down he put his arm around Ronnie and coached him up like a good leader. He then turned around and apologized for the language to the crowd and said he loved Ronnie Hillman. I will never forget that moment. Peyton was a fierce competitor, a strong motivator, and a great teammate.
@@beattie725, it was after the Pittsburgh playoff game when Vanderjett sailed it wide right (after the Bettis goal line fumble)... Colts were 10.5 favorites that day and I took them on a -575 moneyline just to win... Idiot kicker? Fuckin’ right he was...
Damn I was about to say 2-14? We went 10-6 and won the division one year, and 7-9, but yeah I was completely forgetting a bad year or two in there lol. Yeah nothing close to that anytime soon.
@@jjay__ yeah they got punched in the mouth but it happens sometimes. Doesnt take away from the fact that they were always in the super bowl hunt for those brief years he was there.
When Manning was yelling at his line, it’s funny that the coaches were just sitting back and watching. He was just the leader of the team it’s cool that he was able to do that. So legendary

@@gHenny. Peyton reshaped the entire QB position and guys like Brady and Rodgers adapted quickly to their credit. Still, I don't think anyone matches Peyton when it comes to pre-snap reads and adjustments.
@@gHenny. Brady did it just as much when he was in New England. He took a backseat last year in Tampa with the pre-snap adjustments. But this year it looks like he is back to doing it, but he definitely doesn't take so long doing it like Peyton did.
@@playtime5051 Context is everything dude. Peyton-Broncos-Demaryius Thomas-DT. DT of The Chiefs Derrick Thomas only played the first 2 years of Manning's Career and wasn't even in the same division of him. Great player, RIP, but not the player we're talking about.
You should be a Lions fan, losing goes down easy. They have won only 1 playoff game in the past 60 years. Have not won their 4 team division in over 25 years.
@@thegamingkitchen8429 talking to me like we the Bengals 😳🤣 broncos are a historically great franchise.... a rough couple years...... but this not the usual 🤧
As smart as he was, as talented as he was, it was Peyton's leadership that separated him from all other quarterbacks. His last year when he could barely throw the ball, the respect he had from everyone in the organization is what got them over the hump. Even with that great defense, they do not win the Super Bowl without him.
No what got them over the hump was Oswelier beating Tom Brady and the Patriots during the regular season which gave them home field throughout the playoffs. They were one missed XP from losing lol.
@@coolstory6193 losing? that was for the tie? the were one missed xp from tieing and maybe still winning in overtime....Osweiler's best game was for sure in NEW ENGLEND..but that was more c.j anderson than anything. Even Von said he was gonna get Manning another ring no matter what. . . and he did.
@@db212006 well actually had New England’s idiot punt returner not muffed the ball when New England was up and getting the ball back to put the game away, Denver doesn’t win that game and most likely ends up playing the AFC Championship game in New England rather than Denver
This is the mindset of a ruthless winner. Look at the score in every clip. They're up a few tds in every one. Teammates, crowd and opponents better not make a mistake no matter the score.
The real GOAT. Period. I watched him and Brady destroy my favorite team in their primes, but when Peyton was on the field it was so much more apparent that everyone was playing HIS game.
@@Zack_410Why so rude? Yes a lot of people say Brady is the GOAT. That doesn't give you a reason to pressure your thoughts on someone bro. Peyton and Eli are amazing at Football like Brady. Stop being so god damn arrogant

Weird you think Peyton fans would get offended at this. I think it’s awesome. He’s literally such a football machine that he hates any kind of perceived interruptions of the machine. He has permanent killer instinct.
been a colts fan my whole life and my god we’ve been missing this attitude ever since. love to see it as a fan bc you know he went 12-4 and made a deep run pretty much every year so he knows what he’s doing
Hardcore Chiefs fan here but I had a guilty pleasure watching Manning Orchestrate his offense. He's actually very comical. Dry humour and timing a natural.
Prolly because during his time in Indy his defenses had a tendency to not do their job and give away a 2-3 possession game. Offense wins games, defense wins championships, except in Super Bowl 41. All Manning.
@@TheFuckingShitLoL nah Peyton had a lot of help. Dominic Rhodes ran for 100 yds and the defense has 2 huge interceptions in the 4th quarter to seal the game
@@TheFuckingShitLoL It was not all Manning. Manning struggled in Miami that night. The Colts defense took a Grossman pick back for a touchdown to ice the game.
I remember one time the Raiders beat the Colts and I've always been a huge fan of Manning and my brother is a Raiders fan, it took many years for him to stop bugging me about that loss. I think it was after the Colts finally won that Super Bowl.
Peyton is the one person that no one can be mad at when he tells people to be quieter xD. It's hilarious, but the crowd knows what he can do when he's got everything in place.
I noticed that in every colts game I ever watched. For awhile I was like, what is wrong with that crowd, Why aren't they getting into this and then I realized oh, so that was what was going on lol
@@northside103 It wasn't his fault the previous yrs leading up to that 2005 playoff gm. 2003 was when Mike made the comments about them.Peyton still preceded to choke in the playoffs without Mike. Regular season he was lights out.
2:19 it's the 4th Quarter up 15 points, and The Sheriff still keeps everybody in line. You could have heard a pin drop in that stadium, you know what that sound of silence is? RESPECT.
I'm not even a Denver fan, but each season I made it a point to catch some quality Denver games, especially when Peyton went up against Brady. Battle of the OGs. Good stuff.
What’s crazy is that after the game against Tampa every time the Broncos had possession it was like you could hear a pin drop from the other corner of New Mile High, it was intense. If people made noise pre snap fans would “shush” the crowd. What a blessing to have been able to see multiple Bronco games during the Manning era.
Swearinger didn’t know what to say or do Peyton Manning out of everybody trash talked him that’s rare as fuck 😂😂😂 he gone tell his family for generations about how Peyton got in his face and talked trash lol
I believe it had something to do with one of Manning's teammates getting hurt on a hit by swearinger {Dont quote me on this}. Might have been welker. Peyton was PISSED off.
You can say Tom is the Goat all you want and with 7 rings it's hard to say he's not but passing the ball and orchestrating his offense Ill have to take Peyton. From a pure field general standpoint no one was more enjoyable to watch.
Brady is the all time greatest QB to play the game in all aspects. No argument to be made. He has 90% of all qb records under his belt, 7 rings, and a great contender to go back and win not only another SB, but yet another MVP. He tied Peyton by winning a SB with two different teams, yet he done it in the first year of a pandemic season, with no preseason, no otas, nothing, the team didn’t even start really working together until arguably the 5th week of the season. Just wait and see what they can do after resigning all 22 starters. Brady = the goat of all 🐐
@@brandonlee920 Manning fans are crazy, really respect Manning but Brady is clearly better and there’s actually a good argument that he’s not even a top 3 QB all time

Him going off on Saturday always makes me laugh. You can tell he thought he had leeway to yell at them its like Nope Peyton they are still bigger than u they can do what they want lol
