Really helpful; thank you! I am going straight from my BA to PGCE but I needed some insight into the academic side of it so this was very helpful. I am panicking because at the moment I put 100% into my essays and I am predicted first class honours, I’m worried that alongside the workload of teaching I won’t be able to give the usual dedication that I give my papers currently and my marks could be much lower than now (I’m expecting this). This was super helpful to know that I will have time to plan, write, and edit my assignments.
Aw Lucy, this is such a kind comment, thank you! It can be a lot to juggle but if you chunk up your time into small tasks, you can do it! I also have a common mistakes video and I offer coaching and editing for assignments if you ever feel stressed about having enough time to do so once you start xx
@@PetitePrimary I have to do a literature review on misconception on secondary pupil on chemical bonding. I don’t know what to write, I have even forgot how to extract info from relevant journals I find. Do I have to read the whole article? As some are very long! I just normally read the journal and then actually write a paragraph and reference it. How do I do a mind map?
I am starting my PGCE this September and I am really excited but I am wondering about how to structure essays and how many references and things you normally need. Also, any suggestions on how to record placement exercises! ❤
@@IsabelleCroad-Protheroe A minimum of one page of references are normally expected, unless it's an assignment that's a self-reflective journal. All unis ask you to write different things of different lengths so there's not necessarily a set structure I can advise you on x
Thanks for the very useful videos. I would like to ask for some info about PGCE assignments. Could you suggest any way that I can send my questions directly, please?
