Hey !! Just want to say thank you for all the advice you have given so far, your videos have come so far and i'm excited to keep watching as I start my journey in September! I've been so anxious and nervous about starting and your videos have really helped me to feel informed on what to expect
Aw that's amazing, thank you and congratulations on your place! I hope you stick around because I have a lot more videos coming up which will hopefully be as useful. Thank you again for commenting xx
Aw good luck for Monday and thank you for commenting! I hope you'll consider sticking around if not already subscribed, as I have other placement videos you might find helpful 😊 xx
Such great advice and completely agree! ☺ I'm actually doing a collab video with Maria Chiara Fabrizio on what your mentor expects from you and how to make the most of mentor meetings which should be out next week. So glad I found your channel :)
@@mrhammadmossop1988ul-haq I do have two videos of how I lesson planned during my training year. Since qualifying, I haven't made a formal lesson plan since haha
Hi, I’m starting my first SCITT placement soon and I’ve been placed in reception. I’m incredibly nervous! Have you got any tips for dealing with parents who may be unsure (especially since the children will have lost most of their nursery experience due to nurseries being closed)?
I think all parents will be slightly hesitant but it's a completely valid point. I think through your words and actions is the best way for parents to feel more at ease.
For example, letting and showing them how you plan to support their wellbeing or gaps in their development since missing out on nursery times, showing the measures you're taking against COVID but on the same time how you're still promoting social behaviour and skills in accordance with guidelines.
It's a new situation for us all but your mentor will be there and will definitely take the lead in the first few weeks. It's a great opportunity to observe how they react to continuous new updates and guidelines as well as how they communicate with parents. Good luck xx
Hi, I am starting my SCITT program from september. I am really nervous. Thank you soo much all the ins and out. I wanted to ask regarding reflections and write ups- do we get time during school timetable to go and finish of written work or do we have to be in the classroom 24/7. I feel a bit panicked. I just hope I can have some time.e away from.class to do catch up. Thank you xxx
Hi Nabeela, There should be time allocated for you outside the classroom as well as normal PPA time which you'd have with your mentor. Hope that helps xx
