It's amazing what you can do with a budget of $10. Nobody seemed that concerned that someone/something from outer space was running around their building (and they all DID spend a lot of time running around). This was fun... but mainly because it was so awful. Keep 'em coming. Pizza's my main source of "classic" films. Thank you!

I always get lost in these old flick's, the old cars, dated clothing and the antique equipment just fade away. I get into the story and characters and just get carried away to that time and place, which I like better than where things are now. Oh yeah, Noreen Nash was always brought her beauty to the set!! & as of this writing she is still with us and will be 97 this coming April.

The producer and director of this film William Lee Wilder (1904 - 1982) was the brother of far more famous and accomplished director Oscar winner Billy Wilder (1906 - 2002). In the early 1950s he formed a company Planet Filmways which produced several low budget B grade science fiction movies with the scripts co-written by his son Myles (1933 - 2010). The star, Ted Cooper (1920 - 1999) is better known as a scene designer and creative consultant for several US game shows.

Many wore "street suits" and fedoras up to the 60s when there came a regrettable sea change in our society, wrought by the vile "hip" generation, of which I'm sad to admit I was a member. Afterward, our country, and indeed much of the 1st world, succumbed. Now, in March, 2021, you are living through the political fruit of that era.

W. Lee Wilder was the older brother of slightly better known writer-director Billy Wilder. His actual name was Wilhelm Wilder, therefore, I guess, the W.Lee = Weelee = Willy, short for Wilhelm in Germany. (V. Lee would suit my theory better, though.) And Billy's actual birth name was Samuel. After a trip to the U.S. where she had visited a show with Buffalo Bill, mother Wilder called her younger son Billie, a name he later Americanized to Billy when he moved from their small village in Austria-Hungary to Berlin. Later, still, he went to Hollywood, as we all know, where he accumulated a nice collection of six or so Oscars and almost two dozen nominations.

BERLINER REPORTAGEN, FEUILLETONS UND KRITIKEN DER ZWANZIGER JAHRE. And there is a series of interviews with him available on YT by German critic Prof. Hellmut Karasek and German film directer Volker Schlöndorff (alluding to Truffaut's MR HITCHCOCK, HOW DID YOU DO IT?): BILLY WILDER, WIE HABEN SIE'S GEMACHT? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b22m0kqcAMA.html Here is an interview in English, no pictures, though:

1974 .45 per pack 1976 .65 per pack 2019 $3 to $8 per pack and people are still buying them. It doesn't seem to matter what the cost people are going to smoke them. The government thought if they taxed them high enough people would quit smoking it didn't work just like alcohol taxing it was supposed to stop people from drinking that didn't work. The sad thing is is back in the day people didn't know how bad they were for you now people know how bad they are for you and they still smoke does that make any sense to you? Then we can just jump right off into the drugs people now how dangerous they are but people still do them whether they end up in jail or dead it doesn't seem to matter. I've lost friends and family to cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. People just seem to want to do what they're going to do whether it's good for them or not it's hard to make them change their minds. I lost my mother to lung cancer who never smoked a cigarette in her life but was married to my father for 32 years who smoked three packs of non filter Chesterfield Kings. He did not develop any kind of cancer but he did have 5 heart attacks before he died.

My friends have family members in Nevada where all the nuclear testing was going on and every one of their family members has cancer. They tried to sue the government because they're so close to where the nuclear testing was going on and nothing ever came of it they try to say that the land and water there are safe but it's not it never will be. I'm sorry for the loss of your parents. It's just amazing what our government does and has gotten away with. Look all what they did to the American Indians and it's still going on to this day.

I'm guessing that director W. Lee Wilder is included in the uploader's title because he is brother to the great director, Billy Wilder. W. Lee wasn't a very good director and didn't make many films. But I really enjoy his sci-fi movies. They're not great, but they're fun. There's this one, "Killers from Space," "Snow Creature" and "The Man Without a Body." To be fair, "The Big Bluff," a crime thriller, is pretty good though and I've heard that "Once a Thief" is good too, but I haven't seen it yet. Many of these old films are getting harder to find. My thanks to PizzaFlix and the other up-loaders of these enjoyable old movies.

I see you haven't watched many old sci-fi B movies have you? Try "Teenagers From Outer Space," "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians," "Zontar, the Thing from Venus," or of course the incomparable, "Plan 9 From Outer Space." Many film critics consider the last one the worst movie ever made in any genre, period.

"Plan 9 From Outer Space" was pretty bad... but when you're 10 years old it's pretty good stuff. If you're interested in the REAL worst movie ever made try "The Fat Spy." Jaw-dropping bad. Phyllis Diller, Jack E. Leonard, Brian Donlevy, Jayne Mansfield... and even singer Johnny Tillotson. Go watch it!

Anyone else notice that the fake Yagi antenna on the truck was pointing straight up? I still can't stop laughing! Spoilers below.
