Vorzink Blut is Phantom doing it the same way Devs did last year having tenors split time on snare, cept Phantom's snares split time on tenors? I haven't seen much video on Phantom yet
Totally agree. The Pearl+Remo configuration sounds terrific in this video. The only other current drums that sound like this are Dynasty, IMHO, although Yamaha’s basses and tenors are pretty sweet. Pearl has always had a warm, “open” sound that appealed to me. It beats the hell out of marching tabletops.
I think you're right. They're all the same pitch. I'd love to see the hi tenor-low tenor voicing again in DCI, though. Stone Ground Seven was epic, and having two different voices for the tenors contributed to that greatly. Check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yoNuwITZ-IY.html
Los Papeles There really isn’t a huge difference between those two sets. Also, since they were fielding 15 quads for the feature, I’m they just went with the cheaper option. Check out their 2019 line. They switched to Carboncore.
Sounding really good early. Snare technique looking good. Wish the book had some flam rudiments in it other than just single isolated flams, but nobody does that anymore. Please...just a couple of inverted flam taps...? This line looks like it could do it. Tenors are really tight. Bass line is kickin'! Looking for some good scores in August!
Because they wanted to. I'm absolutely certain the snares can play a match grip roll. They wanted to add something in. Maybe it'll give them more points or just add a tad bit of variety.
