I am back with Therine and we are going to the City of Love!!
Welcome to Iloilo City!! Therine (my Filipina girlfriend) and I decided last minute to go on an adventure to Iloilo and the island of Guimaras. In this first video you will see us eat our way through La Paz Market, and enjoy a morning in the City of Love... yes, that is the name given to Iloilo City!
We then made our way to the Parola Ferry Pier, and hopped a boat across the the sweet mango island of Guimaras!
Back with my Filipina Girlfriend, and on to the City Of Love!

I realised how awesome it is when you have been to a place in the Philippines a few times, and get to be tour guide! Although I am stoked that we decided to spontaneously go to Guimaras... Both Therine and I have never been! Anyone been to Guimaras Before!? How about the City Of Love... Iloilo City!? :)

Love seeing Therine! :) She is so sweet but I know she is outgoing and fun. I can certainly understand how annoying it can be to be with a guy who makes living talking to a camera knowing thousands or hundreds are watching every move you make! Always happy when you visit my city of Iloilo and the positive way you display this growing town. There are many beautiful places in the region and Im glad you and Therine went to one if the gems here - Guimaras. Maybe Panay Island could be 3rd installment of the fighter boys adventure. Parola means lighthouse Kulas...😊 there used to be a lighthouse there by the mouth of Iloilo River... right beside the ferry terminal...😊 I’m going home in a few weeks and I’ll check what you’ve done to my city... YES, you got that right, MY CITY!!! You better leave it as lovely as when you came to it or I will make it my mission to visit Victoria and enjoy it as you enjoyed my city...😊 and how in earth you visited the home of the sweetest mango in the world and not taste those mangos?!? If you visit last May the Guimarad Mangoes are barato(mura), about Php 30-50. Because of over supply that time. Enjoy your vacation together with Therine. 🤙😁

Although the chances of any of us running into "Russell" , the tricycle driver, are practically non-existent........it still was nice of you to give him recognition on your vlog. I doubt a person can simply request 'Russell' the tricycle driver in the Philippines and have him dispatched.

an FYI kulas....guimaras used to be part of iloilo province (sub-province) and only became a province of their own back in the 90s i believe.

super apir! in fact, waaaay back when as soon as you enter the jordan port riding on the "pump-boat" as what they are called locally one could see this giant factory warehouse just to the left (i don't know if it's still there, it's been awhile since i've been)....painted on the roof it says "sub-province of guimaras" in big bold letters covering the entire roof.

I visited Guimaras 20 years ago and I remembered we went to a farm full of mangoes. They were the best and sweetest mangoes I’ve ever tasted. Power on for sharing your travel blog. It inspire me to explore and travel more!

this is my place Brgy. Tando... i think you should've ride a jeepney or multicab and there's also van than a tricycle which is cheaper and convenient.. i hope you didn't got rip-off by those tricycle drivers.. safe travel guys..

if i'm not mistaken, a jaro-cpu jeep can get you there (parola) as well...a cheaper, but less comfy option for backpackers. just prepare yourself for the perennial traffic while traversing a certain part (from provincial capitol to city hall) of the route.

Bret wasn't afraid to drive a scooter 1400km across Southern Mindanao... not many people would dare do that (stereotyping it as dangerous). Bret has huge amounts of respect from me for being open to that. Expect he will be featured again and travel with me again.

Parola is the name of the area around the port. The river is called Iloilo River, which runs throughout Iloilo City until the outskirts. :)

i went night swimming in nueva valencia. go to trappist monastery if you are still around. they have one of the best dried mangoes and mango butterscotch
