The Ortigas Centerlink project finished about a year ago and cut my commute time from Mandaluyong City to BGC and Makati by half. No need to get on EDSA anymore. It's a prime reason Ive chosen to stay living in Mandaluyong City instead of moving to Makati or BGC. Condo prices are half and commute times are just 10 mins, from 25 prior.
The electric power capacity need to improve that is why foreign investment in manufacturing are going to Vietnam, India and Thailand. Philippines has to strengthen the power grid and make it reliable.

It is also very important to have Garbage treatment plant, water and sewage infrastructure and treatment. Nationalise plumbing system and infrastructure.
As a Filipino I say be cautious with the construction. Here in Canada it's concrete everywhere and I'd much rather have the natural beauty over too much construction. I do support better public transit and high density living though.
Investments should be spread across the country - improve infrastructure in regional areas outside of luzon so you aleviate congestion in metro manila!! it's basic formula that your politicians are blindsided by in pursuit of corrupt dealings. THEY ARE FAILING YOU!
@@shaunmontebon7616 Manila is already a concrete jungle. There are buildings everywhere. Hopefully these public transportation project will come to fruition. Manila is notorious for it's traffic situation.

@dorismay8383 All of this infrastructure started under President Duterte's term and hopefully it will end once Sara Duterte is the next President after PBBM. No to yellow shit liberal party, they will only destroy the country like what the Democrats are killing The US.
Thank you , as long as it is a joint priject by Japan or Other European countries i salute fir these projects Praying and hoping for foreign involvement in these projects in Dagupan city or in Pangasinan.
Should have happened shortly after MacArthur liberated some of the Japanese loot worth Gazzillions. Stolen from 12 Asian countries, most from China, it was buried in 175 caves & tunnel sites all over the country. But Philippines did not share in it. Hirohito & his gang, the US , the military industrial complex all shared in the bounty but not us. Now we face mass extinction. It’s too late , these projects just after thoughts designed to extract kickback from all the build build build. America said, you want independence? Sure , here it is, but you don’t get development funds. Have fun with your independence.
If these projects are really in the pipeline, this video is an overly optimistic overview of infrastructure development in the Philippines. Realistically, we don't build-build-build, it's more like build slow-slow-slow and we don't maintain our infrastructure well. Anyway, I cross my fingers and look forward to another 50 years before these dreams come true.
nah don't be pessimistic if you have been commuting in edsa in the early 2000 you should have know how long it takes for you to travel from 1 place to another but with the new skyway and interlinks going from one place to another is much easier nowadays.
You are already outdated with what is happening at the moment with all the ongoing projects in the philippines. So if you don't know anything, then you just watch coz the current administration mean business and want to finished majority of this projects before the end of His term.
The country will improve once Manila is decongested, more jobs are put in the provinces/other major cities and there is a low wage gap between the rich and the poor. Give this half a century (50 years) to happen. It takes this long because we need the old corrupt people to die first and the young people to take the reigns in making efficient changes.
Majority sa mga Filipino ay nangunguna ang emotion o madamdamin kaysa utak o logic kaya madali mauto ng dayuhan. Pag nabanggit salita Pilipinas o Filipino papanoorin nila.
Thank you for speaking the honest truth, it's too much corruption all over the Philippines, it's just another project to allow the rich filipinas to the even richer, and the poor people will still live below poverty, it's all a scam !
You forgot to mention The almost done project of Panguil Bay bridge the longest water spanning bridge in Ph surpassing San Juanico Bridge that's connect the province of Lanao Del Norte and Tangub City
These projects if and when materialied wilk be good for the country. More efforts are needed to protect environment, waste management, affordable housing for all, water and food resources, renewable energy, exploitation of natural resources in the wisest way to move forward. Corruption will take Philippines backwards. Mabuhay.
It’s a good start. Like what’s happening in New Clark city. NCR region already too much population. Would like to see Cebu change too. Philippines is so far behind the rest of SE Asia when it comes to infrastructure. And the Philippines is so polluted compared to Vietnam and Thailand. I would love to so Filipinos show some more pride in their country and try to keep the Philippines beautiful.
Wow!! Have you been in vietnam and thailand?? I disagree!! Thailand and vietnams air quality is not anywhere near manila's air quality!!!! The sky In manila is very clear!! And crystal blue!! Is that sign of pollution!! Stop spreading fake information!! Compared to the air quality in thailand and vietnam!! Very poor air quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the only poulated is metro manila, you get outside of metro manila and everything else is breathe of fresh air. Ofcourse there are few neighboords that is on the exception BGC, Mckinely, AYALA makati, Eastwood city, Ortigas Center, etc etc
Not going to happen if they keep on electing dumb officials and what's to say regarding their lack of discipline towards the environment and traffic rules
Wow these infrastructure projects sounds fantastic once built and running a much more needed project is affordable housing for more local people and overseas retirement investors . I would certainly be interested in such projects.
I'm not sure why but I couldn't help not being excited with this video. I really wish this could come into reality. I believe that Philippines does not lack resources to make this happen.
Yes, pero sana mag-concentrate din sa gawing northeast naman like Cagayan Valley. Kung yung TPLEX umabot ng Rosario, La Union, which is around 210 kms north of Manila, Bakit di nila kayang gawin yung North Luzon East Expressway to San Jose City, Nueva Ecija which is just 155 kms, or kahit hanggang Cabanatuan man lang which is around 108 kms (same distance as Mabalacat or Capas). There should be an alternative expressway. About sa pondo, people may ask, matagal na nasa drawing board ang NLEE, pero lagi least priority. And kung makakarating ng San Jose City ang expressway, di na gaano mahihirapan ang mga umuuwi ng Cagayan Valley or mabawasan man lang travel time. remember, Nueva Ecija and Cagayan Valley are the top-notch rice producing regions in Ph.
Yeeaaah. I am an American who has lived in the PI for 17 years. It took 12 years to complete the NLE ( from Gloria to duterte!). Scheduled completion 2012 - actual completion 2020. Philippines has big ideas and low will to accomplish.
if the philippines is federal state like in germany, malaysia and US, more chances that every regions here in the country can have the same NCR vibes..be it in the infrastrusture, transportation sector, economics contribution and employment opportunities..🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

We Filipinos don’t have a good track record of taking care and maintaining things. I live there and it’s a lie, the lifts and escalators break and are out of service for at least 6 months. They don’t maintain the infrastructure, don’t believe the hype. The traffic is from the busses and jeeps. However, on Edsa, they dedicated 1 lane for the busses now. Still have traffic though. Buses, jeeps, tricycles, and pedicabs are easy to reassign to other locations if there are less commuters who will patronize them. Their owners will survive somehow. But only the Government can facilitate the very expensive and big-ticket projects. However, it is correct that local politicians don't want to spend their annual budget on the yearly maintenance costs of these projects once they are constructed. Those politicians should be voted out and replaced with people who have common sense.
The concept is fantastic but before long things will start to fall apart or break down because they don't have enough of the right technical people to keep things running. You only have to be here a short while to see how bad their power infrastructure is, how bad the water supply and lack of proper drainage and sanitation in some places that are medieval. I love this country and the people but their is no proper apprenticeship training for the hands on technical workers as they simply watch another do a job and within 6 months they are fully trained without serving 4 years as in other countries.
Too good to be true as if it will really happen. What is worse to come is the deterioration of our environment and our freedom of movement in the near future
You think the Filipino is concerned about the environment? Wondering where all the trash, garbage, sewage that can be seen in our rivers and communities is coming from? Being poor is one thing and not caring about where you live is another. Then we have our air pollution is coming from?

@@mysterioustravels4305The Philippines is legit the only Asian country I have been on that lacks public libraries much less library cafes which is a shame because libraries and reading does help societies the most. It is surprising to me that I find more people there that do not read a book out of interest at some point in their entire life. I can see why because most libraries available there is only in schools and that’s it. There are a few that aren’t and they are not many. Also there is a lack of known Filipino authors in the masses and if contemporary writers do exist they mostly limit themselves in the romance genre.
Some see improvement. Some see future trouble. Who is financing these projects? Will taxes increase? With increase of people, will increase more cost? If China has hand in it, what's the catch?it is good to look at big picture.
Nice synopsis of PI’s important infrastructure projects, but it’s obvious that the creator is not in the country. For example, @4:25 CCLEX was inaugurated 1 1/2 yrs ago & has been in continual use since then. Why the wording, “. . . when it is completed” & “it will be” in future tense?
Good thing the job generating manufacturing company are moving out of metropolitan manila, mass transport is a good thing, let the Visayas region captures the hub as a tourism area and Mindanao as mix industrial Agriculture zone

If they have a light rail system, what do they need a subway for? Some of these bridges are only for vehicles, why is there no train option? Heard that Clark city has no provision for affordable housing or mass transit. Does Manila need 4 airports: NAIA, Sangley Point, Bulacan, Clark?
I was thinking that myself. Why are so many airports being built? All of them echoing thousands of flights and millions of tourist each year. Heck, most tourist destinations don't have clean bathrooms and lack proper toiletries. Why can't the government fix those instead?
The lack of better functioning infrastructure in the Philippines and the corrupt government is the only thing that I am shameful about coming from the Philippines. The culture, the people, the country and the landscapes are all beautiful, but this all could be enhanced even more with better leadership.
Corruption is always there big or small. What I hate the most is stopping or delaying projects that would benefit the people just because the project was done by the politician on the opposing side.

But discipline and strict role must above impose to Filipino until they practice it normal like the former mayor and PDigong done in Davao City that after 5 years both local residence and visitors to Davao well inform what role follow and obey the law. I notice that even Digong our President he used strong policy obey the law and there is transformation we observe and seeing it.
