Oh my, goodness, Sue! You are the founder? I wish you so many blessings!!! I just got my Nova Phoenix. LIFE-CHANGER. You have given me my life back. My doctor said, there is no disease on the planet where you're permitted to hunch. Hunching should be corrected, as much as possible. Sadly, standard walkers promote hunching. Now that I'm able to get out and walk w/ my Nova, and work on my posture, an entirely different world has opened up for me 🌹
It sounds like the Nova Phoenix has done good things for you. That makes me even more excited about getting one! I am a 72-year-old woman, have several back issues (scoliosis, lordosis, osteoarthritis and 3 collapsed vertebrae), so being able to go out walking around our neighborhood without excruciating pain would mean a lot to me. Just being able to walk out to the mailbox and back without having to use a wrist-busting quad cane or traditional walker would be a game changer! Now that I have seen this video, I am more convinced than ever that the Nova Phoenix is for me! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
This walker has been a game changer! I was able to take a long walk without difficulty or major arm fatigue. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and severe hip problems and was able to use and be active without much pain. I definitely recommend.🤩
Despite the problems I have had with the sturdiness of this walker it is so much better for my posture and I feel much more stable. I have knee and hip problems and this is a great help compared to a standard walker.
My brother-in-law is going to have our local Realo Pharmacy to order one of these for me so I can try one out in person. If I decide it’s not for me, they can still sell it to somebody else, but the Phoenix looks like it would be a good fit for me. I was seriously considering an Upwalker Premium Lite, but the Nova Phoenix looks just as good and as stable (good center of gravity, preventing forward tip overs) for about half the price, and has less moving parts, making operation of the unit easier and less complicated for a totally non-mechanical woman like me! I only wish the Phoenix folded down like the Dragon, but the Dragon weighs about 5 lbs. more. So I think the Phoenix is a good compromise. I’m really excited and am looking forward to using it!
I just got mine. I read TONS of reviews on many different styles and finally settled on the Phoenix. I have only had it long enough to take some test drives down the sidewalk and around my yard, but so far, I think it will be a terrific aid for me. I was recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis and am very weak in my knees, ankles, wrists and hands. I walk with much greater confidence with this walker. One thing I wouldn't have thought of, the upright positioning allows me to keep my wrists and hands in a more comfortable position as well as the rest of me. It even handled well on my somewhat bumpy yard. I am planning a day out with my besties in about a month, so I'm eager to be able to get around and enjoy my day. My only complaint might be that it is somewhat bulky trying to get it into my car. I have to lower the back seat and lay it down in the cargo area for it to fit. Other than that so far, I love it!
Thanks for the really helpful video, I'm been looking at the various upright walkers online and in person. A competitors portable version was unstable when I was using the handholds to get up, that was a dealbreaker for me. Also in the same brand, when sitting down the arm supports were hitting me in the shoulders when I was seated. Yours looks like a much better design, I'll have Alicks Home Medical order one for me today.
I just got my blue Nova Phoenix Rise Up Walker, and I think I am in LOVE! It’s even more comfortable for my back, hips and shoulders than I imagined. Before I used it, I couldn’t stand or walk for long without a lot of pain, but with the Nova Phoenix, I feel like I can walk for miles! It’s also smooth and easy to use. I never thought I’d be able to ever take a walk around the neighborhood or anywhere again without having to pay a fortune for the more expensive brand (and you know who I mean). The Nova Phoenix costs about half as much and is just as good. Anyone who has never been limited by pain probably can’t understand my level of enthusiasm for being able to do such a simple thing as walking around their neighborhood, or even comfortably walking out to their mailbox and back. Big deal, huh? So what! But it’s a life changer to those of us who are that limited to suddenly be able to feel that freedom. It’s so liberating. Thank you, Nova, and thank you, Sue!
I got one and delivered yesterday. It’s nice to be able to have a place to rest my arms and to help my posture. I got the exact same color, purple, purple is my favorite color, I love it!
We are so happy you got a Phoenix and love it. And we also LOVE the purple! Great color choice. Pls do not hesitate to call NOVA if you have any questions on your Phoenix Rise Up Rollator and thank you for choosing a NOVA.
I'm hoping you eventually come out with a Nova Mini Mack version of the Phoenix that is front folding, instead of side folding. The side folding walkers have thin seats over hard thin frames. I would feel those frames through the thin seats, and it would hurt. A front folding model would be able to have a proper, sturdy, flip-up seat, so it wouldn't hurt to sit on it. My current walker is the Nova Mini Mack, as I am unfortunately, both short and wide. There are very few rolling walkers designed for people who are both short and wide. The Mini Mack is a good rollator, but I think I would get around even better with an upright forearm rollator. The extra width of the Mini Mack has been a help tho, as I am able to walk up closer to the seat, so the walker isn't always in danger of getting away from me. This means I don't need to bend over too much while walking, and I am safer and more stable when walking. I would also like to suggest that you come out with a walker cane clip for quad canes. I sometimes use a pair of those to get around. Mine are bariatric steel canes, so I think they may be a little bit wider than the non bariatric ones.
Yeah, my cane is a quad also. It offers more stability and stands up by itself. But I notice the cane holders on upright mobility walkers don’t accommodate quads. 😢
Are these rollators made for a senior to put in and out of a car? There doesn’t seem to be much emphasis on that aspect. I have a SUV and I have to collapse my split rear seat in order to get another brand in the car.
I got this walker this year and is much nicer with. My only problems have been a lower handle breaking and needed welded back on. Also the arm rests have cracked lengthwise and broken. I am waiting for the replacements to come. Don't you have a warranty since this is a medical device? Can it be used outside?
Hello Donna, we do not sell direct to consumer, however we can refer you to one of our dealers and from there you can inquire if your insurance would be able to pay for the walker. Pls call us at 1-800-557-6682 M-F 8 am - 5 pm PST. Thank you
From my research, the seat is 18” wide. I am actually too wide myself (about 20 inches wide) because I am too overweight. But in my case, I want to walk around more than I want to sit, so that’s not a game changer for me. It would be for someone who would be walking long distances, like on hiking trails, but that’s not the case for me. I just want to take walks around my little neighborhood.
Hello Fedake, thank you for your interest. Our approximate height for the Phoenix is 6’0”, but as this is an approximate and you are 6’0”, it may work for you. The best option would be to go to a NOVA dealer that has it in stock to try it out. Please call our office M-F 8 am PST - 5 pm PST and we can locate a dealer near you. 1-800-557-6782. Thank you.
I think it depends on where you get it. At our local Realo Pharmacy, I can get one for $311, but I have seen them offered at various online stores for more.
Hello, to lock the brakes, you simply push down on the lower lever to engage and lock the brakes. If you have more questions, please call our customer service at 1-800-557-6682.
