I like how the theme is in this game. It shows that Phoenix is still using everything Mia taught him, and is carrying on her legacy, putting all he has learned and experienced into his two underlings. To me, it represents that he is the legendary veteran that still has it, but can step aside to let the younger attorneys shine, waiting to help at anytime. But it shows he is still the same old Nick, through and through.

Pol74698 honestly yeah, phoenix just turns into a bumbling idiot it in this game. being surprised when asked for proof, reeling at even the slightest argument against him, repeating the same assertion over and over without any new proof, etc etc. it’s really unfortunate. at least in the trilogy he only bluffed in dire situations. now he’s bluffing every 20 seconds
Imagine? Why imagine when you can do it on your own (seriously, my hands and throat hurt after every single trial due to the constant pointing, slamming, and yelling "objection", "hold it", and "take that"... I look like an idiot, but I love these games too much to care)
*Spoilers for the first half of Case 5 In a civil trial, you play as Apollo Justice going against Phoenix Wright. If you hear this theme, it means you're pretty much fucked and that Phoenix made a good argument.
I love how this song has the same motif as Objection! 2004, which was the objection theme of the last game of the trilogy, which in general was the game that really shown Wright's growth as an attorney, and how Mia is still living through him.
I was in speech and debate class and when the teacher had left with some of the students, me and my friends held a little mock trial for fun with music and everything xD
@@muhammadsban2009 I may be a year late but this is my opinion; I truly think Phoenix deserves his name on all or most games: we started with Phoenix (THE Ace Attorney), and we shall end with Phoenix.
@@muhammadsban2009 Of all the Ace Attorney games.. your favorite is Dual Destinies? It's probably my least favorite. It is just all around terrible. Music, cases, character arcs, the twist, the plot, ect. Just all terrible. SoJ flips that on it's head. Everything is amazing in SoJ.
@@muhammadsban2009 I consider SoJ one of the best in the series (give or take Trial and Tribulations or maybe even the first game.) It's definitely better than JFA, Apollo Justice and DD. DD is the worst.
This really gives off the impression that Pheonix has truly become a living legend at this point. If he shows up in a courtroom, its like "Oh you guys are SO screwed now!"
You want a REALLY triumphant theme? Try listening to The Resolve of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke, though it's a pursuit theme it's completely based on Ryuunosuke's objection theme
The objection theme in that game just doesnt work for me. Only in the first case because Mia is still a noob. Otherwise it feels way to basic and like it's for a beginner. But SoJ did this theme justice
when phoenix stands firm and gets ready to defend albhi despite the ultimate consequences, everyone in the courtroom is shocked as hell and this starts playing SO COOL.
The part from 0:36 onwards is the absolute best thing that has ever happened to this song. Period. I was a little underwhelmed at first because this was just another remix of 2004, but holy fuck.

This really hits different in the Khrua’in trials because Phoenix’s apparence is the first time in 23 years the people have seen a lawyer. Really feels like your shaking things up and revealing how screwed things really are.
The problem is that the Defense's bench is where he gets random, revelant objections We now know why the Prosuctors always lose when the Lawyer is Pheonix Wright
I actually love that part,because remember 2-4 ? Basically now in the civil trial we got a little bit of how Edgeworth was feeling that trial,when Phoenix tried desperately win some time and save Maya
This version lacks the gravitas of the Dual Destinies version, but I like how it feels more cool and collected? Kinda symbolizes the confidence of all 3 characters at this point.

I still can’t get over how absolutely screwed I felt when I heard this in the Case 5 Civil Trial. I felt hype because I love the song as well as Phoenix but as an Apollo Justice enjoyer, I was sweating buckets thinking the guy was done.
i love this rendition. To me it represents that idealism of justice that phoenix embodies - no matter the odds hes gonna face evil, protect the innocent and win the day cause he is a HERO
My favorite thing about this theme is that unlike the DD version, it sounds much more "DS" like. Less of an full fledged song and much more 16 bitty. It reminds me of how phoenix was the first of the 3.
I always thought there was a large amount of symbolism in their clothes. Opposing attorneys wearing a tie around their neck that represents the other side tightening around it. I don’t know....
Although phoenix fits well in this theme but imo Mia is better for this theme since this was played through T&T in chap 1 which is her case. Imo Phoenix is better with his Objection 2001 theme. Man I wish they do remake of that theme

i consider the first part to represent his past, since it's technically mia's theme, and then 0:43 and on is a similar melody to his JFA theme, so it's properly phoenix's, instead of mia's. either way, while it's not as good as the other lawyer's themes, *it's so good!*
SPOILERS: In my opinion, this song should have played when Apollo asked the Queen if she knew how to channel spirits. It would've made sense character-wise since Apollo became a worthy attorney at that point, and how this song passing down to him could have signified that.
why on earth would they do that? Next game is either gonna be apollo justice ace attorney 2: some title to go along with it, or Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney
The main writer of the AA series left Capcom, at this point we can assume we'll never get a new game... The second trilogy for the Switch will be the last thing we get...
I feel like I'm one of the few that feels that using Mia's objection theme as his theme from DD onwards just feels sort of wrong. Point of AA3 was for Phoenix to finally separate himself from Mia and stand on his own. So the game having a constant callback to Mia instead of himself just feels off. Even AA4 used his original Objection theme and whatever crossover he is in uses it too so it's just weird that they insist that AA3's theme is his theme.
Unpopular opinion but either the first or last victim of the next game should be phoenix, its the only way to let the franchise truly move on and no longer be shackled by needing to include him: athen and apollo deserve to either share a game or just alternate (dual destinies should have been athena's game and spirit of justice should definitely have been apollo's) because cramming a phoenix case into every game holds back the series' story telling... or just have phoenix be the damn mentor who as reached the grossberg point of helping in court but never taking over, either way we should stop playing as phoenix or at least relegate him to the dlc cases
