Hey! They are per American standard/definition concider to be gen2+ since their photocathod is based of multi-alkali + some secret sauce. But these are not to be confused with "Normal" gen2 tubes. They will perform more or less on par with thinfilmed gen3. Photonis does call them "hybrid" since they aren't really either gen2 (multi-alkali) or gen3 (Galium Arsenide).
@@EagleBayNightSupplies Awesome man, thank you. I've got my hands on a pvs 31 body and was looking for tubes to put in. Since i live in Europe US made gen 3 is out of the question/illegal and i found these photonis ones online. Your video made me choose. Merry xmas to you and yours.
@@leelotungal819 If it's a real pvs31 housing please keep in mind that it is using proprietary tubes. But if it's Lindu pvs31's I think it is using mx10160 tubes and you should be good to go. Merry Christmas to you aswell😊
@@leelotungal819 Harder Digital makes gen3 tubes within europe, with most of them having FoM > 2000, so as long as it's legal to own where you live, you can get them within the EEZ. They're *very* pricy however.
