"If you want to be rich just study physics" has to be the worst piece of advice I've ever heard in my entire life.

my lecturer once said the reward for being abstract is generality which makes sense because the best theories and concepts in physics come from really abstract ideas

I'm going into physics right now and people are always like "you must be so smart to go into that" and I always tell them that anyone is smart enough to go into physics. It just takes hard work and a love for math! Just like any other discipline! I suck at writing and a lot of other things but I love math so I picked what I love!

As a 2E person myself I have to say Sheldon is a perfect reflection

It always drives me nuts when people ask a question about something, like "you're a physicist (which I am, and an astrophysicist) what is gravity?", and I have to say "we don't really know. We know what it does, mostly. But it doesn't behave at really small levels, and it doesn't add up at very large levels. So we can, at this point, only talk about it's effects on spacetime with what we have at our disposal right now. But I'll get back to you if we get better data." To which I get a resounding "so science can't answer any questions!" SMH Sometimes, a null answer is still an answer.

I'm not a scientist, but I did go to law school. Soon, I am going back to complete my masters. I can definitely relate to the impostor syndrome. I felt that throughout my time at university.

Me and young Sheldon has one thing in common is trains when I was very young I had a speech delay at the age of 2 I was diagnosed with autism and I was born in Europe and when I was 4 I was able to talk and when I was 10 I learned every math and I stopped doing math and when I was in biology I got everything right and passed it and I was done with high school I wasn’t really smart and I loved playing video games because they are fun and I’m not really smart my IQ is 81 I stayed in school until I was 21 I was in a special needs class my brain is strange the way I remember things like it was yesterday the ability to remember things a long time ago by the time I was 21 I have moderate Asperger’s and 100% autism spectrum disorder my dad was really impressed that I can recall things that happened 20yrs ago and I didn’t really pay attention in school I was really quiet didn’t have any friends when I was 21 I had a girlfriend in a relationship for 2 years and I stopped talking to her I told her I love video games then her ..
