Good catch of the battery locomotives I think I saw the same train near Barons Court I wish they would stop the Piccadilly line at Chiswick Park becasue they make such a racket going over that Acton Lane bridge and the Westbound trains make that horrible clattering sound reminds me of how they use to sound going through Stamford Brook. Plus it is only served by the Ealing BDYs so it would make sense to rebuild it with island platforms enabling Piccadilly Trains to call there.
Only on two lines, The Piccadilly line runs non stop through intermediate stations where they are served by District line services between Hammersmith and Acton Town, the Metropolitan line runs fast and semi fast trains in North West London with Jubilee line trains taking the slow service
@@JayJay-nc7pr Thanks for your comment explaining that. I live in Manchester. (Wish we had express trams to bypass certain stops here lol). I know when I was last in London in the late 90s visiting a mate in East London there was a four platform there with full size metro trains and tubes but they all seemed to stop there which is why I was surprised to see in the video here tubes non stopping then I thought oh this must be a new thing then.
@@JayJay-nc7pr ps don't ask me what the name of the station was, it was a long time ago but i seem to remember it looked like a run down NYC subway station at the time, no doubt it's been renovated since then lol!!!
@@toddhunter3137 no worries 😉 I think that’s Mile End station, that’s on the Central and District lines, I would have thought that the Manchester metro link would have had an express service
@@JayJay-nc7pr Mile End seems to ring a bell in the old memories I think it probably was that station. Sadly no Manchester does not have express trams, altho they do run at upto 50mph on the Oldham line and the Altrincham and Bury lines that were old national, or rather, BR lines that were converted back to use for the metrolink. But they stop at all stations, annoyingly sometimes.
