Well there is limits the Earth dragon balls can only res people 10 times the namekian ones can res one person at a wish and the super dragon balls have a decade before use and whis can't just rewind time whenever he wants cus it takes heavy stamina
I think Piccolo saying "Goodbye, my friend" when he dies in GT is really sad. Because if you remember, that's also what he said when he first sacrificed himself for Gohan in Z.
GT is better because you KNEW it was the end of Piccolo because Piccolo wanted it that way. Super not only repeated a moment from dbz, but we know that Piccolo can be wished back.

Just trying to stand there would be enough to provoke serious muscles concussions and a ton of broken bones (oh, and the blood passage would get interrupted by the insane amount of weight, causing certain death). But compared to all plot holes the dragon ball franchise has, this is a pretty light one.

i genuinely think the scene of piccolo telling gohan he chose to stay behind on earth is possibly one of the best moments in the entire franchise. it's such a perfect end to his character, and the culmination of YEARS of development and story, stretching as far back as the nameless namek landing on earth. it was tragic, yes. but it was bittersweet, because you knew that even though piccolo was dead and he'd never be coming back, he went out on his own terms and in doing so, saved the very people he had grown to love as the nameless child of another world.
Like there are some parallels between Piccolos and Harry Potters destiny. Both were meant to die in order to bring balance to the world. Unfortunately for Piccolo there is no way back for him... what an awesome and heroic character he was. For me, he had the best character development in the entire franchise, turning from a demonic villain to the best ally a Z fighter could ever wish.
Well, never coming back in regards to the end of GT's run but GT implied he could come back to life one day wether or not we get to see it. He probably went on to be a guardian of hell for a while which is a pretty cool and metal send off for him.

Super believe it or not makes the same mistakes GT made and moreso. Piccolo despite being alive in Super gets shat on. He hasnt had one legit hand to hand fight on a 17 level in Super despite being in a tournament.
CHRIS CONLEY no it's not. ROF is the worst saga in db history. Next to it is U6 tournament. The only arc that was decent was future trunks but it relied heavily on bs power ups and poor storytelling. Don't get me started with the ending.

Piccolo's death in GT was better. It had real weight and emotion, meanwhile, Super was pointless and was done simply for shock value. It didn't matter since we know Piccolo will (and does) get revived with the Namekian Dragon Balls, and it was a change from the Resurrection F movie that made no difference in the grand scheme of things.
While in GT , Piccolo NEEDS to sacrifice himself . And we all know that he will never come back , because if there are no Dragonballs ... Death really matters ...

Wtf Gohan in super didn't even show that much emotion and he saw piccolo die right in front of him. Gohan's reaction in GT seemed more accurate as Piccolo is literally like Gohan's father.

In my opinion, GT was a great anime. Not only did it bring what made the saiyans saiyan(the tails btw), but brought a new form to the oozarus and made the oozaru gold and made it into a super saiyan form. Super saiyan 4 has that one ability where the user is younger or older so they can fight. That's why goku became older again and vegeta looked younger. It doesn't really matter what other people say that gt is s bad anime. It is their opinion. And besides, they are half right.
Gt had good ideas that could have used a little work but the baby vegeta saga was the best out the others. I also loved ssj4 forms they looked so cool and it's more of a transformation than their hair turning a different color. It even had a beautiful ending with the decedents of goku and vegeta jr along with goku saying farewell.
+Infamazh piccolo and gohan's seem quite a few years apart, though piccolo was seemingly born an adult. still. gohan's was repeatedly trained by piccolo when not studying with his mom. he spent literally year of his life being unable to steadily communicate with his bio father and when needed, got his life lessons from piccolo more than his own father.
That was my favorite resurrection. He just shows up chilling out with the heroes, completely skipping the use of the Dragon Balls. That's how pointless death has gotten in this series.

So stop trying to antagonize dbs for doing what dbz couldn't do which is not taking itself seriously and showing cause and effect. Dragon ball started as sort of an adventure comedy and in dbz it got dark and weird for no reason, it lost it's purpose until the buu saga came around to it's original roots.
Jesus that Super one seems like a straight rip from DBZ when Gohan was protected from Nappa. At least in GT there was poetic justice in Piccolo's death that gave the character justice.

Honestly one of the best moments from GT. It's somber, but at the same time, it doesn't feel overly sad. He wanted to die. He resigned himself to that choice. It's the resistance from Gohan that makes this scene as powerful as it is. It's like losing an old friend. But it isn't like that friend is dying. It feels more like that friend is moving away to a different town. It's sad to see Piccolo go in any form, but the way that GT didn't make it overly dramatic is perfect. Gohan falls to his knees and cries, sure. But honestly, what would you do if you just found out your closest friend for a majority of your life just killed himself? Perfection in every form of the word. If Super actually tried to replicate this instead of shamelessly rehashing the scene from the Saiyan Saga, I feel like it could be the most fitting end for our jolly Green Slugman. RIP Piccolo
It's not that emotional legit that's the second time he shows up in gt then he dies it's more of a lazy way the writers tried to get people to get emotional over it

GT wins this easily 1. GT had a lot more feeling to it 2. Super felt like more of an after thought. 3. Piccolo didn't even die in the RF movie, which leaves this feeling lackluster. 4. RF movie did it better.
CHRIS CONLEY It wasn't though, if he died the Black Star Dragon Balls would go to stone. Once they're stone, they can bring Earth back with the Namekian Dragon Balls and won't have to fear of Earth exploding. So it makes a lot of sense if you ask me.

I give it to GT... Gohan was atleast something in GT. In super he went from someone who could beat super buu all alone to barely surviving frieza's first form while being a ssj.....simply makes no sense. But glad to see his mystic form back in super.

GT didn’t really do anything with Gohan. Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure the only time he goes ssj in GT is during the Baby arc when his body gets hijacked. That’s the only time you ever see him fight, besides maybe when all the villains get resurrected, or when he got thrown around like a rag doll when they fought the shenrons in the last arc. My point is, I don’t really think GT did Gohan any justice, and the same is true for a lot of characters.

Hey, at least they gave Piccolo's death a decent death in Gt. In Super it's just rushed and doesn't influence anything, since he comes back some episodes later. In Gt they made that more dramatic and more emotional.
Super switches it's side characters every arc. In the Resurrection F Arc, Gohan and Piccolo got some time. Piccolo got some in the Universe 6 arc. Future Trunks was the most dominant character in the Future Trunks arc easily and Gohan gets more time than Vegeta in this new arc so far.

Krish Bhakta Dragon ball fails to add emotion. Look at dbs they tried to copy Naruto/One piece by giving them flashbacks of the character's development. In Dbs,when Gohan destroys universe 10,they show the picture of a guy(i forgot his name) with his famiy. Another example is,in Dbs when Gohan re learns to use Ultimate form again,they give us flash back on how he used his power to fight Buu. Dont take it the wrong way, i love db-dbs. But its to late for giving emotions.

Tournament of power is a bad arc man... its premise is flawed, if you are the "strongest" in your universe what need is there for you to have a wish. beyond that it seems like everyone there is essentially a good guy, the main antagonist group fights for "justice" if they are "good guys" they are going to wish everyone back to life... its that simple.

This is one thing I miss about dragon ball. The emotion. The stakes. having to be told that someone will die..they can't do that anymore because everyone has already died thrice more but can't say goodbye to those who wouldn't come back.

Gogetas character was kinda ruined imo, in the first appearance he was so badass but in GT he was way to childish and playful. And that role was taken by vegito. Shadow dragons are cool but they could've been introduced in more depth. And GT is more like "watch goku beat the crap out of everyone, with every old fighter being forgotten or left out". GT is just a failed remake of the original dragon ball. Atleast super has their originality, and with a villain that actually made sense to return unlike 17

Multiply them together and you get a freaking high power level. Add in all the energy he absorbed from Goku and the Kamehameha x 10, and it's not really bs or stupid how he got so strong. Frieza... who's weaker than people who normal Z 17 can kill with one attack.... trained for 4 months and is stronger than SSB Goku lol. How did he train? He beat down a *ZARBON* level fighter for 4 months straight. But GT makes no sense right? Super makes total sense right?

idk, the orignal and Z and GT, had some pretty brutal scenes, Super shouldn't be kid friendly at all, hopefully soon we get some pretty brutal scenes in super. I'm not saying super's bad but being more brutal, would definatley give it a better reputation in my opinion.
