Tony I love watching the non pros these are the people I play. I see where they are on the court then I watch some some 5.0 players to see the difference. Thanks.
Absolutely excellent advice however it is hard when your partner plays this way and is overly anxious to start the attack. I don't want to criticize their play but it gets us into trouble much more than less especially at higher levels.
Discrepancies in partner play can definitely cause on court issues. And it is one of the most difficult things to address because it isn’t just about what is the best shot. It involves the human element.
@@BestPickleballCoach My partner and I agreed to split as a team. He is not as competitive as I am and plays more for fun. He is not as committed as me to doing drills, working on his fitness and doing clinics. Sometimes I feel he is holding me back in my goals. He should find a partner with similar goals. Have u done a video on this?
The lines on that court aren't correct. On one side the receiving boxes don't have the line painted all the way to the NVZ. Bit, the ball rarely goes in that area during a serve.
What i meant, return the ball deep with enough speed to jam the nonServer to commit 2nd Bounce Rule violation, when noticed standing inside the court. 😃
Hmmm, I don't understand the justification for not attacking from midcourt and waiting until you reach the NVZ line. More important than where you are is the height of the ball and the position of your opponents. If my opponent hits a shallow return that bounces high then I'm going to rip that ball from midcourt. If the ball is shallow but bounces low then I'm going to drop that ball into the kitchen. So I'd claim it isn't so important where you are on the court when you attack (although position is still a factor as your opponents will have more time to defend if you're attacking from midcourt or the baseline) but rather other criteria like the height of the ball, the positioning of your opponents, your opponents weaknesses, etc. This advice is also inconsistent with top play - the pro's attack from the baseline on a hard third-shot drive and from midcourt all the time.
Remember Annette is a lady. You must always respect her and you must never hit her. Lol Tony is a volley air balls only vs a rally which is a combination? Thanks.
