I like how you plan and prepare a bit but then there is a large dose of just experimenting and wingin' it. Helps to remind me of going with the flow and letting go of some of my "gotta do it right" tendencies.
I 100% feel that. I tend to nerd out on the seemingly opposite topics of "self-care" and "productivity." One concept where they intersect is that of "play". I learned that doing things just for the fun of it and experimenting without an exact goal boosts creativity, productivity, and state of mind. So there's your permission to wing it!
I made the pie-iron pot pie at home and I gotta say it's amazing! The crust is nice and crisp and the family likes it even more than standard pot pie! Definetly will be making this again.

I Love how you use your culinary curiosity to create inventive pie iron recipes. Rock on Girl! But I most especially appreciate the peace you show us that comes from spending time in nature.
I have used puff pastry in some recipes, but its best characteristic is also its downfall. It puffs too much to stay inside the pieiron! I have done some open-faced pieiron creations with it that worked amazingly well.
Lol, when you asked if it was too much pastey on the pot pie. I was like is there such a thing?!? Lol, then you responded. As a carb enthusiast, there is never enough pastry😂 everything looked so good! 👏🎉

I love how you test pie iron recipes (or ANY recipe) "on the fly." 😂 #gobigorgohome. You had all the correct basics to pot pie, but me being me ( 😁 ), I would have gone with bits of rotisserie chicken instead of the bagged option. Regardless, your pot pie looked quite good! Oh, and re-orienting the pie mid-game didn't seem necessary. I would have just folded each side inward for the same end result. Your "corner method" might be more aesthetically calming, though.... 👍Love your adventures and look forward to each new video. Brava!! 👏

I used my pie iron for the first time. FAIL..LOL. Crescent roll dough..add water blueberry muffin mix..diced can peaches. On gas one stove...I thought low heat. Outside..BLACK..inside mushy. :( maybe I'll try this..MAYBE.
Oh no!! :( Getting the heat low enough can definitely be a struggle. I've actually been looking into heat diffusers to mitigate that issue. Keep it at it! I've had (and still have) my share of fails.
