oh my god, after getting more into modeling and game dev, this video is a gold mine on this platform. and HALF a decade ago no less. I remember watching this going "hm hm" at all this stuff i didn't understand, which in hindsight i could have used as a jumping off point... (stupid me) but coming back to it now I actually...! kinda know this stuff. like I've USED them before.

Those lighting illusion textures is something that you notice A LOT when playing other Ninten. games such as Splatoon 1 and 2 (for when you swim through ink) as well as Animal Crossing: New Horizons (for the clothing and for the rock shelves on the beach as well as furniture). It just goes to show how games can be weird like very weird.

Came back to this video after almost two years. Amazing presentation!! Fun, informative, captivating, creative, easy to follow, and with an original style! The video, and basically all of your work on this channel, deserves WAY more praise and attention than what it has got now.

I love the Vehemoth pho’s at the bio luminescent hairs are what makes the beast in my opinion I love those hairs they are so pretty. I would want a lamp shaped like the creature in my room and the hairs would glow purple with an led or purple light bulb. I think that would be cool. From the moment I saw this beast I instantly loved the design mostly because of the fuzz and the glowing hairs but also because of its bright yellow eyes because yellow eyes contrast well against dark fur.

Holy crap, I'm re watching this video after pikmin 3 deluxe was announced on the switch and I bet the reason the pikpik carrots are so high texture is because they were planning on adding it, scrapped it before release but kept the model incase of a port version as they have re added the piklopedia into Pikmin 3 DX

If he knew the switch version was going to exist in 2017 before the switch launched, we would have had him not say „the carrot (pikpik carrot) is unused but more detailed than the bulbmin“ but it’s still a great video and that „hello“ is always so cute!

Don't know if it's possible, but I'd loooove to see a video on the "bone" structure of the models and animation rigging. The skeleton that determines what parts are animateable and how the skin should stretch that is.

the metaballs kinda remind me of spindle fibers during cytoknesis and how is kinda separates , if the the specific focus point were the centrosomes you could make an accurate animation of cell division for educational purposes.
